phr0nesis:
The second Jason who walked into the store after the main Jason left is the same as the one who took over his life

Oh! Really? And they asked for same thing, same outfit and facial expressions, I highly doubt that.

phr0nesis:
The third Jason you are talking is from the last multiverse he visited before he finally returned to his own.

How? The last universe shown was the one he stalked Daniela and felt like staying cos he saw Max alive. So I'm wondering how he now split into 2 in his own universe and performing same actions.

Calibrator:
Dark Matter Episode 7

Giving me "When you feel dejavu, it means there is a glitch in the matrix" vibes

Make I continue use DARK dey wait.for more episodes of DARK MATTER. But this multiverse shit can really mess you up, I like the fact that Amanda created a universe where she fits perfectly into and made the decision to stay. I just feel pity for Jason, his overwhelming love for Daniela has evolved to having a dualized version of himself in same universe.

Next episode go toff.

Mozambique spitting cobra in Nigeria..... Too much television is a problem.

Instead of you to learn!

Achilles100:
While the general usage of the word implies to die or be killed. The literal implication means what Calibrator said. His life embodies everything he has and has accomplished been taken away from him.

You can't say "literally" while the subject isn't true. You can only infuse that word when you know for sure that the subject. Literal is (finite)

"He wasn't really dead in the literal sense of it" his life was just taken from him.

But I'm open to learning.

Calibrator:
His life was actually taken away in the literal sense of the word not figuratively.

Figuratively is wrong in the context used.

Lmao! Was he really dead? His life was swapped. His life was taken away was a metaphor, cos he's not really dead, he could still find his way back. Saying he's literally dead means he's really dead, but saying it figuratively means he's actually not dead. Abeg oo.

Baddestguyp:
How good is Dark Matter?

I finished episode 1 yesterday and it feels like some time travel or interdimensional or multiverse stuff...

Didn't really like the first episode...
Does it get better?

It's an interdimensional and multiverse stuff as you said it.

Imagine your doppelganger/multiversal you coming to figuratively take your life and dump you into another multiverse where you're another person entirely.

It's all about the path not taken, and what might have been or not to be.

Civil war 5/10

This is a boring a24 movie, I slept off twice

I enjoyed it though, was a slow burner at first, but it developed later on.

It tells the tales of what pressmen face during wartime. Na that mumu newbie just dey vex me.

This Apple+ TV series DARK is actually messing with my head. What if people we all thought are mental are people that have been replaced with their other. Cos sometimes they talk about their own reality, and we dismiss it cos it's not a part of our own reality.

These kind series na wetin I wan dey watch now, atleast I can be hiding inside these theories.

Can anyone recommend other series like this for me.

oyaskii:
"Chernobyl" 2019.

"Every lie we tell incurs a debt to the truth, and sooner or later, that debt is paid".

Valery Legasov at the Chernobyl Disaster Inquiry hearing.

Wow! I'm surprised you just watched Chernobyl.

oyaskii:
The backstory before the death of Taiko, is highly unlikely imo, since it most likely takes out the Anjin's timeline, and with the show already losing two key characters in Mariko and Yabushige, there best bet, is to continue with the characters they have now, and just move forward with the story and since the source material is done, they might just draw from the real life events. Tokugawa Ieyasu who is depicted as Toranaga and the Anjin became close friends after the Battle of
Sekigahara, and Tokugawa Ieyasu ruled as Shōgun and the Anjin became his ally in trading with the Europeans, Taikō son came of age and assumed Lordship over Osaka, and even laid claim to the Shogunate in real life, so these are the stories that i feel, they will explore in S2. It may seem like they are clutching at straws, but since the beginning of time, there have never been a big motivator like money!.

Probably, they'll just choose another story in the era sha. But we're just clutching at straws.

Make dem just close am.

oyaskii:
interesting read.

FX pulled this same gimmick with "The Bear" last year, pushing it to comedy cate at the Emmys, instead of drama cate, potentially avoiding a head on collision with HBO's giant, Succession, that was having it's final season and was a sure Emmy win magnet, and it paid off big with "The Bear" clearing about 8 Emmys in the comedy cate, even though, in actual fact, it is like 95% melo dramatic with serious undertone and even if there was humour it was very subtle.

Now again, they face the same dilemma again this year with "Shōgun", which was clearly intended to be a limited one off season affair, but with Netflix pulling off "Baby Reindeer", in the last couple of weeks, the limites series category is looking like a fierce dog fight, as I can't even lie, "Baby Reindeer" is a ridiculously good show and the subject matter is an award magnet 🧲, and the awards available for the limites series category are not that much compared to that of Drama category.

So FX, throwing Shōgun into the drama category ring, means it has more than enough chance to scoop so many awards, as i think its the best show, all things considered so far this year, if for anything, it's the best drama show out this year so far. Then, there are 2 curveballs associated with this move, the first been it's a foreign language show, but perhaps the biggest curveball imo, is that throwing Shōgun into the drama category, means it has lost it's limited series tag, and FX hands have been forced and are now open to making a further season, completely outside the source material which they have exhausted. Fillers is that, they have already gotten Hiroyuki Sanada (Lord Toranaga) to sign on, and i can't blame bro for signing, it's a guaranteed massive payday, but i don't even know how a season 2 would look like, i have tried to envision it, and it always comes up sour but if there is one network i trust is FX but this is gonna be thier biggest task yet. If the S2 is officially greenlit, they have the chance to etch it as one of the best shows ever with a good S2 that is plausible or completely ruin the legacy of S1. The S8 of GOT is stil fresh, and universally accepted of how terrible it was, and it did almost ruin the legacy of the entire show, but the saving grace of that, was that it had 5 or 6 really really good season to ride on, but Shōgun doesn't have such luxury, it's go big or go bust for it, i am afraid.

I fell they'll combine different stories around the period of the events of shogun. Or it'll be a sequel, a backstory before the death of the Taiko.

oyaskii:
"Baby Reindeer" (2024).

Another Netflix Gem.

This doesn't even starts slow for you to ease into as the episodes got by. It was just straight up fire and all gun blazing from Episode 1. The plot is just totally bonkers and absolutely funny. British comedy hardly disappoint.

Genuinely one of the best show i have seen this year. Totally recommend.

9/10.

Thanks for recommending, and I had a good laugh also. Martha mad gan, but I just felt baby reindeer is damaged also, reason why he could allow Martha for so long, cos she makes him feel good about himself.

I abandoned this one. I didn't feel it at all compared to the vampire chronicles. Eagerly awaiting s2. I hope s3 and 4 will be the vampire lestat and Queen of the damned.

S2 coming up next month. I'll wait for all episodes before binge watching it.

Really? I thought they were yet to wrap up filming for the S2. I was even anticipating late 2024.

Yabushige summarizes what we all as humans are. Self preservation. I won't blame him for whatever he's done, and at the end of the day, no one wants to die a pointless death.

We must witness Crimson Sky for the next episode oo, or me and the producers of the show go get issues.

how did he take his son's death??

As a blessing in disguise.

Lord Toranaga is a very devious man, see plans within plans. He's an evil genius. Knows the plans of his allies even before they think of it, and nudges them towards it. Lord Hiromatsu turn Jesus christ. Na the plan of the church and the courtesan was wicked Toranaga na real werey.

NeoWanZaeed:

It was abuse and you know it.

Seriously man, if I came and said you were not well, would you like it?

Look, better take.that abuse back and apologize. That was damm immature behavior. I did not abuse you. I answered a question you had , and all I get is abuse?

Right.

Most of you here cannot have a civilized discussion.

Guyyyyyyyyyyyy! What more do you want, tears? You didn't answer the question either cos you posted a data that didn't correlate with the subject matter was why I gave you that sarcastic reply earlier. But go off.

nairalanda1:
I did not abuse you, and I see no reason why you should abuse me.

It's not abuse in the sense of the usage of the word. Sorry if you felt that way.
