Yabushige summarizes what we all as humans are. Self preservation. I won't blame him for whatever he's done, and at the end of the day, no one wants to die a pointless death.

Seriously man, if I came and said you were not well, would you like it?

Look, better take.that abuse back and apologize. That was damm immature behavior. I did not abuse you. I answered a question you had , and all I get is abuse?

Right.

Most of you here cannot have a civilized discussion.

Having diabetes is a nice way of making things very hard for a Nigerian.

Modifed

Kind of amusing to see how NIgerians are in denial about how soft drinks are bad for your health.

MOdified 2

People who consume sugary drinks regularly—1 to 2 cans a day or more—have a 26% greater risk of developing type 2 diabetes than people who rarely have such drinks

Sugary drinks: the nutrition source.
How many Nigerians can afford just one pet bottle of sugary drinks.

There's a certain way to walking as a lady in ancient Japan. The actors even had to learn how to walk that way to be able to properly portray that era.

The kimono is wrapped around their legs so its awkward walking briskly and there's a technique to walking as a lady. There's a way to sit, stand and walk with the kimono. They walk with their knees closed. I think this is the answer. That kimono wrapped around their legs will hinder motion too.

Watched "Memoirs of a Geisha" some weeks back and saw glimpses of Japanese ladies etiquette back in the days.

Are there Samsung mid-range phones with battery capacity of more than 5000 mah? Every single one of their A series I've looked up on has 5000 mah and I really want to get a strong battery phone.
That 5000mah battery will take you over a day without needing to recharge. Samsung now has a well optimized OS and the battery last longer, I use my s22 ultra with same 5000mah for a day with heavy usage.

The only thing that made GOT stand out is White walkers. In my own opinion.

Shogun needs supernatural villain too
Make dem leave SHOGUN as it is. We don't need any supernatural stuffs in it. I like how the plot is evolving.

SHOGUN: It's definitely living up to the hype. Great acting, dialog and cinematography. It seems they spoke old Japanese in this series cos some words are quite different from the ones spoken in TOKYO VICE.

Why do the Japanese ladies drag their feet on the ground while walking like baby dolls? E dey always amuse me.

I know they might be some disappointment by huge fans even me i miss sarcastic sokka but i cant beat myself up for that instead i enjoyed the show as a neutral.
Even the cartoon season 1 was a pain to watch
If to say I dey listen to the critic train, na so I for miss FROM oo.

The most effective way to enjoy media or any art form for that matter is to make peace with the fact that everybody discern and perceive art differently, and for a show that is adapted from a highly successful franchise, the reactions were always gonna be mixed as the metric would always be to place it side by side with said highly successful predecessor.

Btw, most of the bad reviews you lot speak about is even mostly from fans, as critics have a mixed to favourable reaction to it, heck it's even fresh on RT! and scores elsewhere are actually decent.

Point being, People saying it is an okay attempt (like you) Valid, People saying it doesn't measure up to the original and the error margin is wide, also valid.
True though.

The way some people hold the source material like it's some Holy Grail...

These people forget the first season of the source material was it's weakest...maybe because they watched it during their childhood...

the adaptation isn't great but it's not bad either...

I feel like people are comparing the adaptation of the weakest season to the strongest parts of the cartoon...
Exactly! People want to feel the same emotions they felt while watching it when they were kids. This is the real world, and the adaptation isn't great, but it's definitely highly rated. I was happy when I saw him in Kyoshi Island playing on the airball with the kids. Omo! Dem really try jare.

I find it very funny when people say stuff like the bold part because they're in disagreement with the majority.
Do you somehow expect everyone with a mind of their own to form the same opinion as you? 😂🤣
Lack of self-awareness will always be hilarious to see
You see reasons why people tend to disagree with stuffs, and you wonder if they all sat in the same room to discuss it. But then, you read a major critic review and see where everyone got their opinions from. The bandwagon effect.
TV/Movies / Re: What Series Are You Watching Now? Part 2 by geezyk(m): 12:03pm On Feb 24
It suddenly feels like we're in a simulation. Tell me why everyone keeps badmouthing ATLA, cos senior olodo critics did same. Do people not have a mind of their own to form an opinion anymore?

ATLA has delivered wonderfully, the first season of the anime wasn't spectacular after all, and the writers of the show has done well to merge many aspects into one. CGI was perfect, Aang was great alongside Sokka too. Was glad to see monk gyatso. Character adaptation and likeness was top notch, felt like I was watching the anime again.

I don't read critics report about shows before watching it, synopsis and trailers will nudge me towards watching, and I form my opinion regarding the show. ATLA has been a great show for me. Make everybody dey follow robots get same opinion, probably the bandwagon effect is taking hold.

Business / Re: Why Exactly Is The Cement Price Going Up This Way? by geezyk(m): 11:44am On Feb 17
MASTERCHIEF0847:

Mumu, so because it's produced in Nigeria that has epileptic power supply and because the raw materials are locally sourced then it means the cost of production will not increase?
Limestone is mined from the quarry using heavy equipment that runs on diesel that is selling for over a thousand naira per liter. Others like gypsum are mostly imported and paid for in dollars which the naira cannot keep up with, coupled with the cost of diesel needed to run the cement factory and cost of transportation.... but a slow being like you believes the cement manufacturers just want to punish the masses.
Educate yourself you illiterate...or better still establish your cement factory so you can produce and sell for 1000 naira per 50kg bag. Banza kawaii.
Bro, when diesel price increased to 1000 was when a bag of cement hovered around 4-5k. The major component for cement, limestone and gypsum are available in large quantities in Nigeria, machinery for mining the materials are not bought everyday, service and maintenance are what's required of the machinery. Expats are paid in dollars alright, but doesn't make it right for the surge increase.

For the price of cement to quadruple within a week, then there's an invisible force behind it.

Omo Hollywood isn't easy oh, apart from Viola Davis, and Wes, I don't think I have seen any of the other cast in any show/movie that I have seen.

Even see GOT cast, as goated majority of them were in that show , the main casts are hardly seen in Blockbusters or other shows .

I think its only this three that are doing well in terms of other shows/movies
GOT was a breakout show for Jason Momoa. He killed his role, and his Hawaiian background opened doors for him.

Great show actors will just fizzle out amd remain unseen after the show has ended. Na wa oo.
