Lolz...That's for that particular trip which I have explained already.
Anyway if u want us to agree Bolt now charges 25% because of the changes, it therefore means Uber is now charging 30%. Why is nobody talking about this, Abi una be Uber apologists?
That's because truly it's incorrect to say they are charging extra 5%. I rest my case.
I don't use Uber, so I really don't know nothing about that, maybe chillex or Felicity001 will know.

Bro pearl1910 will not agree until he sees pictorial proofs, I ve seen two from my earnings but I don’t have strength now.
After calculating distance(km), time and paid waiting + 20 naira service fee... Abeg where did they add 3% ?

According to our uche we will continue to avoid 600 trips so as not to feel pained when bolt takes 25% grin
Even bolt has finally acknowledged they now charge 25% on commission.

Are you not aware or u just choose to just be ignorant of the fact that prices are rounded up to d nearest 100? So if u do a trip that's 640 it's 600 that will be displayed and if u do a trip that's 650 it's 700 that will be displayed as fare. This applies to every other hundredth fare that is displayed.
However u want to twist it, my advise for u and every other person using this minimum fare as example is don't do short trips of 600 so that bolt will not charge u 25% and u have peace.
Hopefully this settles this issue till further notice.
Looool, but you agree that commission is now 25% paid by the drivers, right? In this hustle, every naira counts, not even now with the increased commission and all, not everyone takes 600 trip, but the day i took it was when I knew we were being cheated.

Why not be transparent to allow drivers know they actually pay the full commission and not the riders, be like you be Uche true true, defender of Bolt Nigeria.

Abeg help me confirm attached picture.

This is not true.

I think Bolt takes that off the customers, not drivers or so.

My point is: some people here condemn the business vehemently but same people goes behind hitting the road as early as possible.
If they’re not exposed, they wouldn’t tell you they’ve got some side hustles.

The fact that you said some have ported to indriver shows people would always find their way around situations as indriver is also an ehailing app.

The business isn’t as bad as some persons paint it here. Someone here shared their strategy of 8 - 5pm or thereabouts and still making something reasonable.

Nairaland isn’t real life sometimes. No job is that easy.

Let’s keep pushing the hopes alive.

Cheers!

It's definitely true bro, base fare of any trip, irregardless of distance is 600, bit add the said 5% commission its suppose to give you a total of atleast 635, but its a lie, the minimum trip still remains 600. The driver bears the 5% cost eventually.

Why’re people complaining and condemning the business at this time?

Nov./Dec. were surge months, there were no advices on how bad the business is but now, you see all sorts.

Funny enough you can’t even pay for a trip yourself on a normal day not to talk of surge trips and you did enjoy all of those.

It’s just common sense thinking that people won’t have much to spend during at early January.

Same people won’t stop being in the business but would only post bad days trip details and ignore those good ones.

One man for himself. Do not listen to people who don’t do the talk.

I yield!
Lol, virtually every business had massive sales November/December, everyone knows it's the period when goods and services are at higher demands. FYI, the surge on bolt came towards the xmas week, and peaked on new years eve when people were reportedly seeing 3X surges.

I put it to you that the high commission is what's actually pissing out most drivers, 600 is the minimum price for any trip, but now bolt has increased its commission to 25.4% albeit not officially, we're told the 5% increase is on the riders which is actually a lie. 600 trip still stays at 600, which is supposed to be like 635 or thereabouts, which isn't so, and recently it seems the fare has been reduced also.

Many drivers are now flocking to indriver as it pays them cos of reduced commission.

I remembered there was this guy gbola5 I suppose, he was an og on this thread, people tend to lookout for movies he watched cos they believe he has good taste. Its the same thing here. Where did you see me tagging wheel of Time God tier just by watching the trailer?
The only TV projects I've hyped with that tag in recent memory is The Witcher (trailer), Arcane and Lovecraft Country.
Better receive sense... I don't tag something God tier if I haven't watched it or if I'm not very familiar with the lore. And WOT I rarely know about the world until the show aired.

If you can't provide receipts you better stfu.
TF is this one saying that I'm swayed by other known people. Lmao. You got me mixed up with someone else.
If I love something I'll hype it and sing it's praise. If I don't like something I'll criticise it.
If you even knew me the slightest you will know I don't do herd mentality.
I was excited for WOT before it aired cos it has been a long time we saw a new Big Fantasy series.
If you even knew me sef, you'd know my love for Fantasy.

And who's to say one can't change views when he finally sees the end product. So I'll follow the majority to hype nonsense I didn't enjoy.

No one's saying hype what you didn't enjoy, your opinion regarding a movie will definitely differ from mine as we aren't robots programmed to think in 0's and 1's.

But, what you people do without realizing is that you need to let others form their own opinion by allowing them watch the series, but you guys talking down on it won't allow them watch to form their opinion. Many peeps have missed out on shows they'll definitely enjoy cos y'all talked it down.

It's all love bro.

This is how you build a Fantasy series.....
I remembered when WOT trailer came out, you were drooling all over it on this page, shouting god tier series, till it came out and there were mixed reviews and you decided to follow the bandwagon of people saying it tanked.

On this page you allow people's reviews sway you over, especially some known monikers, whatever they say you accept and follow as truth.

I don't think so bro.
Here is a breakdown receipt of my ride today. Riders still pay the booking fee.
Ok then, how do you then calculate the 3% booking fee from a 600N trip, or probably they don't add it to insignificant fares or they add it to fares 1k and above.

The fact still remains that instead of adding 3% booking fee and subtly adding to commission deducted, why not increase fare and then increase commission afterwards, that's a fair bargain.

I bet you they know what they're doing, this is just the pilot episode, wait for when the real drama begins.

VERY true.
Drivers bear the 3% increase. It's not passed on to the riders at all.

Dem don subtly increase commission to 23%

Grossed 23.7k and bolt commission was over 5k, that one never pass 25% commission?

No one can tell me otherwise that this new 3% booking fee from bolt is not a scam, this is a deliberate and subtle increment of their commission without you really knowing or coming out to fight, they're disguising it as 3% booking fee for riders, meanwhile its the drivers that bear the brunt of it all.

We all know that starting and ending a ride on bolt irrespective of moving from that spot gets you 600N. But how come that 3% booking fee didn't get calculated into the 600N, later on the driver gets to pay for that 3%.

Be like bolt don overgrow wings oo.

Bros with this your explanations, in my own humble I don’t think those guys have done something really wrong that will warrant you dropping them at the express.

Have encountered several riders that’ll claim that oga I don’t know when you start your trip with attitude but the best response from my side will be: sir/ma seems you’re carried away with your call/whatever he or she was doing before I started the trip.

I’ll keep my mouth shut till we get to the final destination to avoid any arguments.

Most of the times we drivers put emotions and overreact based on the experience we encounter with probably the last rider or frustrated Lastma.

All in all, we’re here to make money but you lose 8klm from where you picked them to the express you dropped them off
In all fairness, I was VERY RIGHT to drop them, when that talk started about not showing them, the other mumu said, "sebi I wasn't on call, how did I not see" and point plank I told him, if you weren't keenly following your friends' conversation you would have heard me, as i don't need to shout, I lifted up my phone, showed them at the back and explicitly told them I'm starting, but the problem the other was talking about on phone thats making him agitated was logistics, I sure wasn't the one supposed to pick them up as the got messed up by the company's driver, but baba wan transfer aggression ontop my head, I stood firm and ordered them down. They were saying all sorts of rubbish, that it's how we do and whatnot

8km? If it was about that, na to dey jump Okada and bus go visit my friends for abule egba and ogba cos I no wan lose fuel,

I don't want a situation where after calming them down and continuing the trip, and the fare is a bit different from the estimate we go start wahala, so I cut it short immediately, I can't asslick cos they're old men in their late 40s to early 50s. If they were younger, I would have put them through, make another person teach them abeg.

They felt entitled, and I said, not in my goddamn car.

My experience yesterday! While I was angry there wasn't surge and na small 9h trips popping upandan, ended a trip on Osolo way and immediately a 1.6x request to V.I popped up, sharperly I turned, called the man to know his exact spot, but the way he replied on the phone was somehow rude, I ignored cos 1 million this December.

Got to pu at chicken republic, he was busy checking out my car, plate number and all, I was just laughing, he hopped in with his friend, both putting on senator wears, I dey happy say na better people, immediately the hopped in, I swiped arrived, then proceeded to find my way out to the road. As soon as I positioned on my lane I showed them at the back that I'm starting he trip, but it seems they were both carried away cos the orderer was on a call and ranting like mad. But I'm less concerned cos my own na kowope.

Immediately we climbed the oshodi bridge and right in the middle baba just said that "Oga you didn't even show us you were starting the trip" my head rang aloud immediately, Omo I change am for am oo, told him if he wasn't aware when the app told him I've arrived in the car, baba still dey talk say I should have told him. I say no be you go spoil my day, oya I'm not going again, come down biko, we were just passed lasma office to the front, baba say I should take them to bus stop, I say No, I manage take dem a little before we climb the bridge, dropped their senator wearing asses in the hot sun and zoomed off. Went straight to gbagada, and made a comprehensive report and still told them they didn't pay before bolt go block me unnecessarily. Omo mad people dey Lagos oo, but the next rider was so full of joy, a lady and we gisted till we got to her destination at ikeja.
