A US Secret Service agent shot a man carrying a firearm near the White House, after the man refused to drop his weapon, the agency said. The man was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital, agency spokesman David Iacovetti said on Friday. "When the subject failed to comply with the verbal commands, he was shot once by a Secret Service agent and taken into custody," he said. "The Secret Service recovered a firearm at the scene. Secret Service Uniformed Division Officers and an agent provided medical aid to the subject." The man did not enter the White House complex and no law enforcement personnel or innocent bystanders were injured. The checkpoint is on the outside perimeter of the secure area around the executive mansion in Washington DC, and is accessible on that side to the public. The White House security alert was lifted soon after everyone inside was accounted for. https://cmjonline..com.ng/2016/05/terrorist-shottried-to-infiltrate-white.html?m=1

If you’ve ever wanted to know what it’s like to live like superstar couple Beyonce and Jay Z, now is your chance. Well, if you’ve got a spare $1million lying about that is. The power pair once spent $400,000 to rent the Sandcastle mansion in Bridgehampton, New York, for a month. According to Page Six , the plush property is now available to rent out this July. The huge house boasts 12-bedrooms, 12-bathrooms and over 11.5 acres of land. It also features a 60-foot heated pool with an underwater sound system, a two-lane bowling alley, a gym and spa. Then there's the tennis courts and the luxury cinema room. And if that’s not quite enough, there’s also plenty for the kids to do including a skateboarding half-pipe, rock climbing wall and a special area for them to perform in which features a stage and DJ space. see more pictures here. https://cmjonline..com/2016/05/beyonce-and-jay-z-puts12-bedroom-summer.html?m=1

Following the first reported drop in Apple revenues since 2003, this year, Apple is under pressure to perform. The iPhone 7 could finally see a drastic jump forward as the company tries to impress and pull back sales lost to the Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5. Graphic designers are keen to future gaze into what the next iPhone might look like. So, a number of enterprising men and women keen to show off their design and graphics skills have started drawing what they envisage the iPhone 7 to look like. Some of the designs are based on the ultimate wish list, while some take their cues from rumours. Others take inspiration from previous products created by Apple, such as the Apple Watch or the iPhone 6S. Regardless of whether these come to fruition or not, it is impressive to see the work that goes into creating the iPhone 7 concepts. It is ultimately a way for these artists to showcase their work to a wider audience, and wow are some of them good. Plus who knows, maybe Jony Ive and his team at Apple take this all in and use some of the tweaks and ideas to make a better iPhone in the future. With renders and leaks coming steadily from the rumour mill we'll keep you constantly updated right here on what the future iPhone 7 could look like. Sadly, for us, we suspect that we'll have to wait until September 2016 to find out whether these iPhone 7 concepts are anywhere near to the real iPhone 7 when it's eventually announced, but it is still fun to imagine. Reddit user Afikouras took all the rumours so far and mocked up just what the iPhone 7 could look like. Notice the button free screen that has the fingerprint reader built into the display. It's also totally port free as rumours have suggested this could be the first iPhone that is totally wireless, with conductive charging. Leicester City did the seemingly impossible this season, overcoming 5,000-1 odds to win the Premier League. But if it seems like those odds were a little out of whack, it is because they were — on purpose — and that ploy cost the bookmakers millions. In reality, no team in a 20-team professional league should ever be 5,000-1 to win the championship, even in the typically top-heavy Premier League. However, it is that lopsided nature of England's top-flight league that forced the bookmakers to take extreme action, action that Joshua Robinson of The Wall Street Journal calls "one of the most glaring mistakes in sports betting history." To put it simply, the bookmakers had to bloat the odds on the lesser teams in order to entice people to bet on them. Here is how it works. Leicester City probably should have been 1,000-1 or 2,000-1 prior to the season. However, those odds weren't considered long enough to get fans to throw money down, and if fans aren't betting, the books don't make money. "You’re not going to get money on those teams…unless you offer something in the realm of ridiculousness," Jay Rood, the vice president of Race and Sports Book for MGM Resorts, told The Journal. In other words, the idea that Leicester City was a 5,000-1 long shot is a huge exaggeration and was only true in the gambling sense, not on the field. The big issue is that the Premier League is almost always won by one of the same four teams: Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, or Arsenal.
