Summary of my many previous posts.

1) Human rights lawyers, civil society groups, journalists, etc complained that our elections were being militarised. They said that the government deployed armed policemen to polling units in order to intimidate voters and that the government should stop deploying armed men to polling units.

lame excuses.. There are other gadgets like teasers or so that can be used ro neutralise thugs or criminals.. So kewp those lame excuses to yourself

2) The National Assembly passed a law to ban anyone from having offensive weapons withing 300 metres of a polling unit.

3) The police obeyed and created a new security system in which there will be unarmed policemen at the polling unit and armed policemen (usually in patrol vans) some distance from the polling unit.

4) The police obey the law, but do thugs obey the law? What can an unarmed policeman do against an armed thug that attacks a polling unit?

5) The people (who were the ones that complained about armed policemen being at the polling units) complain that policemen do nothing when armed thugs attack polling units. What do you want an unarmed policeman to do??

back in my old area in Abeokuta, suddenly 1 ibo showed up to rent shop selling provision, before we know it the 2nd one showed up, like play like play the 3rd one. to make the matter worst, they will invite their fellow ibo around Abeokuta to come and do meeting in our area. oh boy our people had to come together and chase them out oooo. guess what they did, they left sacrifice (ebo in Yoruba) in front of those ibos shops in the middle of the night and rain curses on their business. they didn't last for 6 month, they shut down and packed out of that area. another one had a family kerosine business, it was booming and suddenly the business just failed all within a year. damn I fear my egba people but i dont feel sorry for those ibos, if you give them a room, they will destroy your area and society in general.
