HP ditching their PC division? That sounds like a joke. Their Touchpad failed in the market (it's now $99). I wonder how they plan to survive. Most medium to heavy tasks that a typical CPU carries out can and have been done on smaller devices (Ever hear of the Motorola Atrix?). New android phones are flaunting 1.2GHz DUAL CORE processors with GeForce GPUs. Now remind me why I or anyone else needs a PC, ?

Funny enough, I installed Ubuntu recently cuz I wanted to try something new and I'm never going back to windows!! (Ok ok, I've got it as a virtual machine for those low-end software I need in my life). There are quite a few bugs in Natty its frustrating and there's only so much the forums can help.

This phone's resolution will even be better than the iphone 4's "retina display" Apple's been screaming about if they don't go beyond a 4" screen. The only problem will be the price. The folks abroad can afford to constantly change phones with technology cuz they buy from the networks there at a reduced price (Wonder when Verizon will come to naija). I'll just manage one of the mid-end single core S devices. I don't see why I should buy a phone for 120 grand.

After doing some research on android phones and bla bla bla I've narrowed it down to:
<b>HTC Sensation</b>
(Great resolution, huge screen, DC processor, 8MP camera, recent OS & UI so no need to root)
(high price)

<b>HTC Incredible S</b>
(8MP cam, perfectly sized screen, reasonably priced I think)
(Ugly body, outdated OS & UI, resolution nt so good)

<b>HTC Desire S</b>
(Cheaper dan Incredible S, sleek unibody, better resolution)
(Smaller screen, old sense UI, 5MP cam)

Would've added the Motorola Atrix but its expensive and has features that I don't need so no.

My question is How much do the phones cost in nigeria if anyone here knows AND can I get OS and UI upgrades in nigeria without rooting the phone or wiping it?
I'm leaning on the incredible s if I can get upgrades and if it isn't much more expensive that the desire s AND on the sensation if the price is something I can pull off. So it mostly depends on d prices n possibility of upgrades.

Yeah, I'm just sticking with it cuz I can now give out my pin. Its like if you don't have a BB or you had one and got tired of it then you're not cool. I'm having fun with the few apps I've downloaded already. The theft alert apps are pretty good cuz if your phone gets stolen, which idiot wants to flash the pin!!!

The bold 3 is just like the bold 2 with twice the same memory and CDMA. I'm an app freak and 256MB on a blackberry is kinda crap

, And by the way, the phone is sweet! Its fresh out with no scratches on the sreen but just a few along the sides. Installed OS 6 on it and I'm wondering how those losers using bold 2 would pull that off with half as much memory!!! Enjoying my bold 3 with its 3G, lalalala

Lol. I got a US used one for 45k from a guy on nairaland but I'm sure you can get it for 42k somewhere else or even 40k from some random guy that just wants to sell his phone sha! I just couldn't wait.

I give the protographer 4/5 for the concept and camera elements while Ini Edo gets 2/5. I see what the photographer was trying to do here and Ini Edo only barely pulled it off.

I've been using my nokia C6 for over two months now. The phone is awesome! Although some people have complained about the battery life, it is okay on my phone. Music and browsing together lasts for hours.

The screw ups are that it dosent charge through usb connected to a PC and it has a small memory. I am an app freak and when i run more than 3 apps (both those running in the background e.g. battery monitor and those u can see on the open apps menu) the phone either crashes or closes some of my apps automatically to make space. Crappy!

I want to get a blackberry bold 3 soon. This has about 4x more memory. Would you like to buy my phone? *wink*

About the C6-01, its a C6 alright but its more at par with the N8. Its a very high end phone but i wont bother considering it cuz nokia phones always come with small memory which cant take the 12 MP or 8MP camera they promise.

For those who use a BB bold 3, i'd like to know if the phone gets 3G signal. The specs say it has 3G but i want to make sure it works in nigeria before i buy.

Please i need to find out urgently so i can decide between bold 3 and bold 2. The bold 3 has more memory and its not as common as bold 2, i prefer bold 3 but without 3G its useless to me
