Alas! One is eating to satisfy the norms of his colonized masters. While the other is eating to satisfy his belly.

This is typical example of what Edward Said called "Cultural Imperialism". Imagine an African telling you that it's a must for Africans to use "fork and knife" for eating chicken.
WE WERE NOT JUST BEEN COLONIZED, BUT WE ARE ALSO BEEN WESTERNIZED (or let me say Americanization).

Sooner, we will hear another person calling someone a BARBARIC for wearing Africa's attires. These kinds of people are those who will beat their children for not speaking "English" while forbidden their local language.
We are wearing Westernized clothes
We are using Western products i.e. phones, TV, et al.
We are eating their foods i.e Kentucky fried chicken, MacDonalds, Pizza, et al.
All these are eroding regional and local cultures. In this contemporary, you we see people preferring all these aforementioned Western cultures to their local cultures all in the effort to become like the Europeans and these resulted to loss of local habits, local way of life and local languages.

My question is aren't we been Westernized?
