Politics / 5,000 Cows, Armed Herdsmen Occupying Agatu Communities — CP Imag by GeneralBiati(m): 4:48pm On Mar 01, 2016 |
*Killings politically motivated — PDP *Survivors say carnage rages on By Emma Ujah, Ben Agande & Peter Duru MAKURDI—Benue State Police Commissioner, Paul Yakadi, yesterday, said over 5,000 cows accompanied by armed Fulani herdsmen were occupying part of Agatu local government area of the state, where about 300 lives were allegedly lost last week and 7,000 persons displaced. This came as fresh report indicated that the killing of villagers had continued unabated despite President Muhammadu Buhari's directive that a panel of investigation into the crisis be established and announcement of the establishment of an inter-agency security team to forestall further attacks. Similarly, Benue State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, claimed the killings in Agatu by suspected Fulani herdsmen weres politically-motivated because the people of the area “overwhelmingly voted for Senator David Mark” in the last senatorial re-run election in Benue South senatorial District. Yakadi, who led a team of police officers to assess the besieged communities, confirmed that seven villages, including Okokolo, Aila, Adagbo, Akwu, Omikuidi, Ocholonya and Odugbeho had been completely deserted. He told newsmen at the Command Headquarters in Makurdi, that the invaders stormed Agatu from Naka in Gwer West local government area of Benue State, Loco and Doma in Nasarawa State. According to him: “The worrisome renewed attack on the Agatu communities by Fulani herdsmen was as a result of the alarming influx of the herdsmen into the area through neighbouring towns of Naka in Gwer West local government area of Benue State, Loco and Doma of Nasarawa State, where cattle are made to swim across the water to Agatu. The Command, which was on an assessment tour of the area few days ago to identify areas that security needed to be beefed up, discovered Fulani herdsmen armed with sophisticated weapons with their cows numbering over 5,000. “We saw a number of houses that were either burnt or destroyed and foodstuffs from these areas were looted and some were burnt. The team also discovered that the following villages; Okokolo, Aila, Adagbo, Akwu, Omikuidi, Ocholonya and Odugbeho were deserted with no trace of persons living there while three corpses were seen in Aila and Adagbo.” The Police Commissioner, who claimed the crisis had been brought under control, said the Police in conjunction with the state government and other sister security agencies had made conscious efforts to monitor and forestall further destruction of lives and properties in the area. Fresh killings continue Meanwhile, fresh report indicates that killing villagers in the local government has continued unabated. A survivor of the alleged killings, Mr. Ada Ojechi, told Vanguard that news of Federal and Benue State governments’ intervention made the villagers to relax and that many of those who had earlier fled Odugbeho returned to the village on Sunday. He said, “As we speak, Odigbeho Agatu has been razed. The massacre there today had no equal because Odugbeho is one of the most important and well-populated villages in Agatu. ''Our people were caught napping because we relaxed when we heard what we considered the cheering news that the Federal Government has intervened. “Unfortunately, the Fulanis knew we had relaxed and took advantage to unleash a terrible massacre on us. As we speak, corpses litter everywhere in the village. Killings politically-motivated Meantime, the state chairman of PDP, Dr Emmanuel Agbo, has alleged that the killings in Agatu was politically- motivated because the people of the area “overwhelmingly voted for Senator David Mark” in the last re-run senatorial election in Benue South senatorial District. Speaking at the PDP headquarters where he led members of the state executive council on a solidarity visit to the national chairman of the PDP, Dr Agbo alleged that despite the widespread killings, the government had maintained silence. According to him: “We have witnessed massive attacks on several communities in Agatu Local government area of the state that have resulted in the loss of hundreds of lives and properties worth billions of Naira. We have reason to believe that this recent attack on the Agatu people was punishment for their resolve to vote overwhelmingly for Senator Mark.'' Responding, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, promised that he would take up the issue with the Inspector General of Police, noting that the party would not sit by and allow its members to be intimidated and harassed. He said: “I am going to site to the inspector General of Police over the complaints that you have told me. As a party, I will do everything to ensure that our rights are not taken for granted. We will follow this issue to its logical conclusion to make sure that none of our members is intimidated and harassed.”

Politics / Radio Biafra : British Prime Minister Cameron/buhari Secret Arms Deal Exposed by GeneralBiati(m): 3:43pm On Mar 01, 2016 |
It is confirmed that a
surreptitious arms deal has
been struck between British
Prime Minister, David
Cameron and the African
Hitler, Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria. The Biafra
Telegraph scoop revealed
that the deal was struck to
help Buhari have enough
arms to subdue Biafrans
who are seeking independence from Nigeria.
Our source said the arms
were being transported to
Saudi Arabia first, from
where it would finally be
exported to Nigeria. The source explained that the
cumbersome movement of
the arms was specifically
adopted to keep the deal
away from the prying eyes
of the British public who may not be favorably
disposed to any deal aimed
at murdering innocent
civilians.
In addition, Cameron was
said to have timed the deal to coincide with the period
of the Brexit debate – the
debate on whether Britain
should remain or exit
European Union (EU). The
done under the shadow of the debate, according to our
source, was to make sure
that the highly civilised
British public would be
turned away from it.
On the part of Buhari, he deceived his own people by
sending home photographs
of him prayers in mosques
in Saudi Arabia, when in
actual fact they were cover
up for his sneaking around the country inspecting the
arms, and making
arrangements how transport
them back to Nigeria.
It was revealed that the deal
started on February 5 when
Buhari – claiming to be on a
five days’ vacation used the
opportunity to partly attend
to his health, and then to finalize the deal with
Cameron. On February 21,
Buhari started a visit to
Saudi Arabia, where he was
said to tie all loose ends to
the deal. Many Biafrans told about
this deal said they were not
surprised because it was the
same method late British
Prime Minister, Harold
Macmillan used to arm Gowon during the first
Biafra/Nigeria war of 1967 –
70, without the British public
being the wiser of it. 2 Likes

Politics / New Militant Group “NDA” Blows Up Forcados Major Trunk Pipeline, Lists Demands by GeneralBiati(m): 2:20pm On Feb 19, 2016 |
Nigeria’s major trunk line, the
Forcados terminal crude oil export
pipeline, in Burutu Local
Government Area of Delta State,
has been blown up by new Niger
Delta militants under the aegis of the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA).
The group, in a statement on its
website, claimed responsibility for
the incident which occurred last
Saturday night.
The attack on the terminal has led to an acute shortage of crude oil
both for export and for local
processing.
The Forcados terminal accounts
for over 400,000 barrels of crude
oil exported daily and is ranked among the biggest terminals in the
country.
The attack came a few days after
President Muhammadu Buhari
issued an order that more troops
should be deployed to the Niger Delta region to protect oil
installations.
In the statement, NDA said it
enjoys support from Northern,
Western and Eastern parts of the
country. The group, in the statement titled:
“Operation Red Economy,” said its
move was to protest the federal
Government’s inability to tackle
critical national issues including the
anti-corruption war. An official of the Nigerian National
Petroleum Corporation (NNPC),
who spoke under the condition of
anonymity, disclosed that a high-
powered delegation has been
dispatched from Abuja to carry out an on-the-spot assessment on the
affected installations.
Lt. Col. Isa Ado, the spokesman of
the Joint Task Force codenamed
Operation Pulo Shield, did not pick
calls on his phone for confirmation of the incident. A senior military
officer however confirmed the
attack.
The Media Relations Manager of
Shell, Mr. Precious Okolobo, in an
email response to enquiries, said: “SPDC is investigating the source
of a crude oil spill which was
observed on water around
Forcados Terminal on Sunday
(February 14). This initial
investigation will enable the company to quickly determine
what suitable response is further
needed.” Among its 11 demands for peace
in the region, NDA demanded for
the immediate implementation of
the report of the 2014 National
Conference organised by former
President Goodluck Jonathan. The group also demanded the
immediate release of the detained
leader of the Indigenous Peoples
of Biafra (IPOB), Mr. Nnamdi
Kanu, as directed by the courts.
It said: “We are a group of young Niger Deltans who have support
from other parts of Nigeria, namely
Northern, Western and Eastern
parts.
“We have watched with keen
interest, the way and manner in which the President Muhammadu
Buhari-led APC government runs
the affairs of this country, and we
are not pleased with the way things
are going.
“For instance, the so-called anti- corruption fight is directed at
perceived enemies of the
government, and those who are
sympathetic to former President
Goodluck Jonathan. We wonder
why these persecutions, despite the peaceful manner Jonathan
handed power over to the All
Progressives Congress.”
“So far, the only two governorship
elections that were conducted
under this government were and still remain the most controversial
elections in the history of this
nation,” it said.
The group further demanded that:
“The ownership of oil blocks must
reflect 60 percent for the oil- producing people and 40% for the
non-oil producing people. The only
Nigerian Maritime University sited
in the most appropriate and
befitting place in Okerenkoko must
start the 2015/2016 academic session, immediately.
“The Minister of Transportation,
Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, should
apologise to the Ijaws and the
entire Niger Delta people for his
careless and reckless statements about the siting of the University.
“The Ogoniland and indeed, all oil
polluted lands in the Niger Delta
must be cleaned up and
compensation be paid to all oil-
producing communities”.
