This is failure of governance and government on many levels .

1 Nigerians have so much unproductive time available that they can go to church all the time . If Monday to Friday was anything like more productive countries , I am sure that most people would be at home with their families sleeping off the tiredness from all the exertion of the working week .

2 Pastors, Imams and all these "born against " churches are taking advantage of people's misery and the government is doing nothing about the fraud being perpetrated.

3 A substantial chunk of resources which should be going to states and local governments ( resources required to build schools,hospitals ,roads etc ) is being diverted to meaningless and unproductive religious activities.

4 Lack of governance means that every quack is an engineer . A bricklayer becomes an architect , an architect becomes the surveyors,a surveyor becomes the plumber and the plumber becomes the civil engineer.

5 Lack of governance means that state and local governments departments are staffed by dunderheads.
Those who are supposed to regulate , administer and enforce building codes ( if at all they exist ) are not professionally qualified to do so ,are not equipped to do so, are too lazy ,corrupt or simply do not exist .

Nigeria is not a nation . Nigeria is the wreckage of a failed experiment. While other countries are constantly striving for the future , It is death, death, death, misery, misery , misery ,blood, blood ,blood all the way everyday of the week.

I school in the north and I have personal experience, I was attached at a point and narrowly escape on several occasions but the Ultimate saviour ( Christ) kept me. Some have guns but are no more today.
Bible talked about what is happening now thousands of years ago, if you trust and believe in that God, you won't need guns, He will take you through it all successfully without a scratch.
Christ came to preach love and peace not violence.

If i understand what i read in this article very well, the young boy is a real Chief?how is that even possible?you guys should pardon my ignorance, as everyday we learn.

I must admit, i do not understand how the Eastern Culture works, but in most cultures in Nigeria, Chiefdoms are bestowed on mostly older people who are not only accomplished in life, but have contributed to their society in an immense way.

And even in some Cultures, there are rites of passages, and some secret initiations that has to take place to be honoured as a Chief. And that is why i am puzzled and confused here.

Can anybody be kind enough to educate me on how Chieftaincy titles are gotten in the East?

By the way, the sweat on that guy's body on picture 7 gives me the creeps. I am trying to imagine how those standing close to him could breathe, it is as if he took a shower right there.

so many words and expressions have been changed due to problems encountered while translating... just like some words in our languages can have up to 10 different meanings

If you have ever discussed bible with the older generation, you'll see how deeper they were.
my grand dad (late now) is an example.. a strong believer who had one big bible then unlike the concise ones we have now

like I said earlier, one must understand the rudiments of Christianity to understand certain things.. just like some still follow the old testaments mode of worship with no cue from new testaments.

my dad have those bibles,but I still think that even d older Bibles and newer versions are silent on d matter..the only place I can remember is in proverb where d teacher ws saying that d lord determine d outcome of casting lot...everybody wants to get rich,either quick or slow...if betting is sin,then Christians should not try USA n CANADA lottery,even stock market. ..d last chapter of d bible admonished us not to add or subtract from this book....I guess is a personal conviction... and in whatever u do,make sure that u don't use it to trap a fellow brother .
