I applied to a care home, I was called to book a phone interview, which I did, and I was given a date and time, that reach, time weh I give them pass, so I had to call the HR that same day, and she told me she completely forgot she had an appointment with me. Long story short, I was interviewed there on the phone and I got the job.

So call them.

No mind how I switched from English to pidgin...

I received a call from an HR of one of the companies I'd applied for.
It was like an interview/conversation sha which went well.
He asked if I'll be able to resume work at a so so so date, I said yes.
And he said good, he'll get back to me with the next steps.

Well, till now I'm yet to hear from him, and the given date don pass sef.

Before then, day by day I kept contemplating whether I should call/text him for reminder but I didn't want to sound desperate or look unprofessional so I held back.

Well, 2days after the date he gave me for resumption, I texted him... Just greetings sha no response and now I'm thinking maybe I lost my opportunity by not making follow up on time.

Next time, I won't let such repeat itself again!
I'll text, and call him.
