I never write cover letters. Now I barely even apply to jobs. Recruiters reach out to me.

When I apply , it's 1 click to submit my resume. Anymore, and I just ignore the job entirely

It increases your chances of being shortlisted for an interview and possibly landing the job too.

The trick is to keep it short, sweet and simple. I once had a recruiter say my cover letter gingered him to bring me in for a conversation/interview.

As in, he was interested in meeting the person/personality behind that particular cover letter. I didn't get the job but hearing him say that was enough motivation to continue writing one for my job applications and making sure my persona/sincerity come through in every letter.

It will be to your advantage to always include one, another recruiter said nothing pisses her off as much as candidates who send a blank email with only an attachment or a short, abrupt message like for the JavaScript role.

People in the Human Resources/Recruiting space should be leading the conversation on this and sharing their thoughts/insights.

And TBH, it is really hard to be happy for others in this country, considering the fact that most of us has poor upbringing and are full of community influences.

It also depends on the ones who are lucky to have get out of the poverty line, how they manage their breakthrough, new personalities and actions.

Cos some change too in terms of characters, which do make their long existing friends grow bad wishes towards them

So true and it doesn't shock me anymore.

That is why I'm always of the opinion that the best set of friends you'll make are those gotten before you blow.

And those people must be reasonable ones who's got plans for their life and future.

They won't envy you that much, they will rather wish you well and work on their own plans.

Just be self-aware and have a discerning spirit, this can even make you know people's thoughts for you through their vibes and actions.

No money, so none of the ideas are even making sense.

Can this country just get one thing right?

Boss, I'm a graduate of Environmental biology/zoology currently undergoing compulsory nysc although I'm about to complete it, four months remaining for my service yr to come to an end....I have developed myself by obtaining so many certifications relating to business from udemy and also HSE certifications too.

So I'm on the verge of building and writing my CV but I don't have any template to use....so don't know if u have any sample that u can send to me to use.....also, which entry level jobs can I easily get using the above qualifications?

I had alot of work experience but non are related to my course of study apart from my IT and Research experience
