vivvyo: Please my redmi 9t automatically went off ,when I turned it back on - it got stuck on the mi logo and then it goes off and on by itself repeatedly. Tried doing a force restart by pressing the volume up and power button together....but what came up on the screen was an empty battery icon.
The phone was above 70% when it went off.
I plugged the charger and it starts charging from above 70%, while charging i turned it back on and everything responded well but immediately i unplugged it, it went off.
now when i try to turn it on ,it shows the empty battery and doesnt come on, but wen i plugged in my charger it doesnt start charging from zero percent.
please could this be a sign of a dead battery ,or is there a way around it?
@geniu...s43 et all please Deadboot issue common with this model. It is a powerIC issue just check YouTube and show it to a repairer who knows his onions or you can contact Igemburg if you are Lagos based |

Azazyel: You went to look up the Camon 19 pro that's why you brought up the Helio G96. Still assumptions. I didn't search because I know the Architecture of SOCs as they are released. |

Azazyel: Yes I accept that he should not get the Camon 30 4G at 300k. That's why I recommend either the Poco x6 or the Camon 20 premier 5G since the prices are about 365k and 350k respectively. Value for money . Lastly, the Camon 19 pro 5G doesn't use Helio G96. It's the 4G version that uses G96. Pls check the specifications again cos I don't use the 4G version I put a processor range and never in my last post did I mention Camon 19 Pro. Read again. |

Azazyel: Who is marketing transsion devices? Your hatred for them cannot take you far. You keep blasting others who manufacture products like you could even make one with the materials in front of you. If Poco x6 is available at 365k then it's a good buy. I have no issue with that. There are people who sell it for over 400k and i'm not surprised cos Nigerians love to rip themselves. A used Samsung S22 is great cos it's flagship. The issue of updating and getting vertical lines across the screen is what drove me away from Some of those S series. I'm not sure S22 is affected though. Don't ever use sentiment to recommend phones to anyone. There are bad transsion devices and also good ones. There are bad Xiaomi devices and also good ones. I spotted a new Camon 20 pro 5G with Dimensity 8050 for 350k and of course you know how powerful that chip is when I even thought the phone sells for 400k+. There are people who hate Xiaomi devices cos they didn't understand that the devices they got either had defects or just weren't solid enough cos the company had to sacrifice quality just to put into a budget range. There are many people on this platform who have complained about their Xiaomi devices but can you say Xiaomi is bad? One of my 3 devices is Poco X5 and I have seen a colleague at work whose X5 suddenly went into a bootloop. He was disappointed and had to switch to Samsung. My own X5 is still solid till now. No repairs at all. Sometimes I see some Samsung devices and they are not worth recommending. It still doesn't mean Samsung is not a great brand. Na only Tecno you dey see. Abeg stop this childish behavior. If you hate Transsion devices, keep it to yourself. Be neutral while recommending devices. I love Samsung more than any other brand but i cannot use sentiment to judge a phone brand You still don't get the point. My point all this while is I cannot and will not suggest a 4G device at over 300k with a processor that is 3 years past it's time (NB The G96 - G99 are almost the same before you bring another argument) for anyone. Anyone is free to buy but that suggestion won't come from me. |

Is the Poco better than 13 pro? Which of the 13 Pro are you comparing the X6 with 4G or 5G? If it is the 5G variant 13 Pro but 4G the only thing the 13 Pro has is main Camera but the processor on the X6 IS clearly better than the Helio G99 on the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G commonly found in Naija |

SweetSoup: Genius43, Gptech, AthiestandProud and other tech genius in the house, i need your suggestion please. My Redmi 10 suddenly started rebooting and sometimes won't switch on unless it is plugged into light, then the battery would suddenly drop from 100% to 18 or 25% and then switch off a few seconds after. Now the phone only stays on when it is on airplane mode and would stay on throughout the day and battery % wont drop much, it would however switch off again if i am a watching a movie or playing game on same airplane mode even when the phone is plugged to light. I did factory reset using volume and power button combo thinking it could be a software ish, it worked like normal for few day and i thought the phone was back but now rebooting again. I want to know if it a battery problem or not, before taking it for repair. Thanks for your responses... Your battery is faulty |

Azazyel: A used flagship? You are now shifting the goalpost. Guess what! Snapdragon 7s gen2 isn't flagship. It is a midrange chip. The Mediatek Dimensity 8050 in Camon 20 pro 5G does a better job. Again, Poco x6 is not 360k. It is now over 400k even close to 500k in the market. You can get the Camon 20 pro 5g for close to 400k. I know you hate tecno devices but giving advice based on sentiments is not realistic advice. Anytime I want to give someone advice on getting a new device, I tell the person plainly whether Tecno, Xiaomi, Samsung e.t.c. I can use any device I want so far no company is paying me to use their products exclusively. I test several devices from different manufacturers. So far they give value for money, what is the problem? Why do you keep saying that Tecno phones slow down after 1yr? That's an unfounded allegation! I use 3 different midrange devices from different manufacturers (Tecno, Xiaomi, Vivo) and none have slowed down in the last 1yr. The Tecno Camon 19 pro 5G here is already 2yrs and no signs of slowing down. I've not even seen it lag. You still read from the back and you keep beating around the bush. Read to understand and not to argue. Where did I call the SD 7S Gen 2 a flagship. If the SD 7s Gen 2 is a flagship what will I call the The 8S Gen 3 on my current device? An alien tech?. Used flagships Samsung S22 and the likes are used flagships aren't they. You keep making assumptions from your head instead of to read, assimilate and understand. You can continue marketing your transsion products. I am done with you. There is difference between Poco X6 and X6 Pro. Stop arguing blindly Evidence dey.

Intent247: How about the snapdragon?
I thought the snapdragon Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is better than the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 The difference isn't as wide as you think. They are neck in neck. Gen 2 just have a 7% faster CPU |

Azazyel: Oh so performance dips are not common in Xiaomi phones? What are you even saying? Which phone in the world stays at peak performance all through its lifetime? It's like saying that a human being all through life would sustain peak performance. If you hate tecno, it's your own business. Don't use sentiment to make judgement. The facts are there for everyone to see. Tecno has been trashy in the past but now they have somehow retraced their steps. Even GSMArena acknowledged this fact. I'm not even advertising any Sony Camera but the thing is they have also improved in the software processing. This is where Google pixel excels. Even if they don't use a Top tier camera sensor, the software would do the job. This is the path that Tecno Camon series is towing though they can't be as good as Google. For your information, we have different models of Sony sensors for flaships, midrangers and budget SOCs. Tecno Camon didn't even use Sony sensors in the 20series. They used Samsung GN3 and GN5 sensors. You even said Camon 30 only had one camera at the rear. It has a 50mp sensor at the rear and a 2mp depth sensor. I can tell you in reality that the 50mp in that Camon 30 4G delivers better shots than the 108mp in the Redmi note 13 4G. I have tested both devices extensively. The only thing the note 13 4G has over it is framerate stability when playing games over a long period which is usually not noticeable by the average gamer. It seems you don't understand what dollar exchange rate has done to the smartphone market. Okay give better options that won't exceed 325k. Recently produced devices Like I stated which seems to fly over your head. I am not comparing RN13 with Camon 30. You are assuming. Please point me to where I made the comparison. As for dips I have used several Samsung's and Xiaomi devices and the sustained performance during their lifetime is far more than the Tecno's and Infinix in the same Cadre. Now since you brought in suggestions at 360k you will get Poco X6 which packs a 5G chipset i.e the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 which is a far better performer than the Helio G99. You get my drift now? I won't advice anyone with over 300k to buy Helio G99 device regardless of the brand. Instead get a used flagship. |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by genius43(m): 5:30am On Aug 19, 2024 |
Azazyel: That Helio G99 is more capable than the snapdragon685. I can say it anywhere, anytime. If he has more money to add, he can get the Camon 20 pro 5G which uses Dimensity 8050. That's about 350k. Xiaomi is also repeating SOCs. Redmi note 12 4G uses Snapdragon 685 at around 170k or so then Redmi note 13 4G is also using snapdragon 685 at more than 250k for the 128gb Rom/8gb ram version. Redmi is no saint when it comes to this. I can also tell you when it comes to speed and camera quality, the Tecno Camon 30 wins. No cap. I've tested both. I'm not marketing Tecno but I'm telling you the fact. If a Tecno device is bad, I'll never hesitate to bash it but you see those Camon series especially the pro and premier series, don't joke with them. Camon 18p from 2021 uses Helio G96 which is better than snapdragon 685. So who's playing pranks now? See I love Xiaomi Mi series and Poco series. Those are raw performers especially Mi series which are flagships. Even Redmi note 13 pro+ can't beat Camon 30 premier Same Tecno Canon that encounter performance dips a year plus into using them? That is a grey area people always avoid to talk about. And you missed the point. At 325k there are better performers. Camera is not the selling point to every customer. My point was not on RN13 but you trying to market Sony Cameras that almost every OEM uses. You also didn't tell the buyer that the Canon 30 only has a Main Camera and Selfie Camera those are details. |

Azazyel: Try Tecno Camon 30. Wonderful Sony Cameras and fluid performance. You can get it for less than 325k at official stores. It's sold on jumia too for less You forgot to mention the Helio G99 processor they keep repeating. Let your marketing capture all details. |

Like in downloading and online gaming The ones with + is faster in most cases. The + simply means LTE Advanced or Carrier Aggregation which means that your network is providing you in most cases network on more than one band. You can download Network Cell Info Lite to check |

oyaskii: To me personally, foldables serves no immediate purpose that a phone, a tab or a PC isn't already doing and doing better. Hardly before you find people using them as a primary device. All the quirks are still been figured out and the technicalities involved makes it harder for even the most careful user to use them hassle free.
For E.G, in the last one month or so, Samsung Care+ has seen increased number of damage screen issues from Fold 5 users, from simply trying to apply a screen guard on it, and with the current market fluctuations, the replacement screen is costing an upwards of 400k without a Samsung care+ insurance plan!.
So my advice to people looking at foldables is to get a high end flagship phone instead or get a high end tab, if there is a need for a larger screen. Your mind will be far far at rest than dealing with the technicalities that foldables poses at the moment. Aptly said. Foldables are just high end liabilities for now. |
