Security app>boost memory speed and click the setting icon there.

When you lock too many apps your phone starts to lag because their is no much free ROM for the system to perform.

I am not sure it is something anyone here can fix. The SOC is quite new and it might be suffering from optimisation issues.

Mi flash tool, search for the process or go to the other thread and ask the pros to guide you. Them grandmufti, Olayinkajnr and co.

After updating to Android 11 on my N9S two weeks ago, I've noticed it's super fast. In fact it's way faster than when I initially bought it.
It's just breezy and smooth now. And it somewhat retains some background apps in memory without killing it. That annoying feature of leaving an app in a few seconds, only to return back and find out it refreshes. With the new update, it's less often.
Apps load slightly faster.


One few snag I discovered, I can't seem to get the feature of using split screen or even locking app to memory directly from recent apps. When you long press the app in recent apps, it takes you to app details.
Abeg, anyone know how to remedy this issue, I need that split screen badly and that's ruining some experience for me. I'm not a big fan of floating window. It's resource consuming and lags the system when in use for about 10mins. Although, I haven't tested it in this new update.

Also, Google just annoyingly denied access to some android files for some apps. That's painful as there's no option for one to manually grant approval to Android files.
Now if I want to use a meme or pic on Nairaland from Opera I'll just start searching numerous file location and can't pick directly from how I actually used to before A11. The most annoying one was all my saved pages before Android 11 can't be accessed directly from Opera. I now have to go searching each page manually in folder before accessing it.

Asides this slight issues it's been super dope. Especially, using the phone even at extremely low storage space. No lags whatsoever.

File issue, I haven't experienced that even if google won't allow you access the data files from file manager (Except third party), the apps should be able to do so, except if the app is out of date and not running on Android 11 libraries.

I think Split screen was temporarily removed on some phones for now.

Modified: I just learnt you can set it as a button shortcut if you are using button control and not gestures.

As for locking of apps that can be done from the security app, it has been posted here before. Security app>boost memory speed> click the settings icon and it takes you there.

This should be meant for the tweaking thread.

1. You need a PC to flash the stock Fastboot ROM
2. Bootloader unlock is now a one way trip no going back(I have repeatedly said this). If you attempt to lock your bootloader while Flashing the Fastboot ROM, you will be greeted with system destroyed

It doesn't work that way. It is not by hierarchy but by which team is ready.

And this is the CN ROM by the way. Redmi 7 Global ROM are yet to even see MIUI 12

You said you are on a custom ROM, there is nothing I can do about this sir.

And fast battery drain on heavy task is normal.

Floating windows is on MIUI, I don't know of AOSP.

Alright. The mi 10T pro is really fluid. Compared both, but couldn't stand the IPS LCD screen.
The quality that the F2 pro display brought to the table was just on another level when compared to the mi 10T pro. It might just be my eyes shaa. I'm an Amoled addict.

I have a thing for AMOLED because my first Android phone was one but if not for the peak brightness which is still better than some average Amoleds, you won't know it is any LCD especially if you don't know the difference between both technologies.

When we met recently I kept my RN10 Pro side by side with it. The RN10 Pro was brighter but fluidity the Mi 10t pro is underrated.

Yah. It's fluid but not super fluid. S10 plus and iPhone 12 are still more fluid, though having same 60hz refresh rates. So, that's why I don't think it's not about the refresh rates, but miui.

Nevertheless, I'm just talking about the animations and smoothness while scrolling, and not about speed. Speed wise, when compared with even s20 ultra, it matches it toe to toe
