Oga boss, good evening to you.
Thanks to all the wonderful responses you have been dishing out here eapecially as it concerns the Mi brand. Well done sir.

Pls wanna know the benefit of having a Mi account cos since I bought my Redmi fone, I haven't register or join the community.

Thanks sir

Mi account is to Xiaomi what iCloud is to iPhones, hope you understand.

Mi community is just a forum, Though your Mi account is your passkey there.

I bought the phone this way, I don't have a(n) Mi account. When I click on Mi account in the settings page, it redirects to the home screen that's why I feel flash might be the solution. But please you can correct me if I'm wrong about my supposed solution. Thanks.

You use a custom ROM, so you can't access Mi account.

mathefaro:
One important thing you need to note is that you shouldn't try any of these yet until you sort out the issue of the mi account otherwise, you may find yourself on a long thing

He can't access Mi account on a Custom ROM.

FinianIb:
When I checked Mi.com to verify it showed me this. Please, do u have any idea how much a new battery costs?

This is just to certify authenticity, doesn't have anything to do with the tweaking which the previous user is solely responsible for.

I bought from Macbeyland for 5k minus delivery two Months ago.

FinianIb:
Here's the about page. Thanks.

You are on a Custom ROM. I wonder why someone will sell a phone with a custom ROM to someone who might be possibly not so much versed in that world.

To switch to official stable ROM, you will need a PC and download a Fastboot ROM to flash the phone.

But like I also said, consider changing your battery as well.

buhahahahaha...really grateful for safe landing.. Abuja is cool.

Chile, rather than focussing on their loosed disqualified dog, whose only winning she has is Kidd's semen rather is Chi nwa, numbers of likes on Nairaland they're focused

sorry bitches, I know the only valuable things with password or code, is your Nairaland accounts, I know the likes you get here, gives you validation and boosts your esteem,as no one does that for you in reality. lol.. steph isn't like y'all .Chile!!!

I stanned Tacha, when it seems like the world was against me to the very end, your likes means NOTHING!! I do me, I speak my mind unfiltered.
sorry your placenta's are tied in here, sorry your lives and souls are in here, steph isn't like that.. I do me and log out!

Hello, good afternoon, please I need help on how to flash or hard reset my rn7. The battery doesn't last for long, also, I can't access Mi account. I bought it from someone like this. I feel the rom wasn't properly installed. I've tried volume and power button, it only shows fastboot till it restarts. Thanks.

Post the about page of your of your phone.

Also consider the possibility of replacing your battery.

In trying to resolve this problem, I signed out of my google accounts, removed them, and now I can't re-add the accounts anymore as I get a "can't sign in. there was a problem communicating with google servers, try again later" error message.

As it is, I have no access to gmail, playstore, google drive etc.

Can anyone using a Xiaomi with MIUI 12.0.1.0 stable (QEDCNXM) rom upload his Google play services so I can try it out?

Or

Better still, provide a working solution

Have you tried GApps 3.0 installer? Then download latest playstore from APKmirror.

Change region to India from Additional settings.
Go to Theme app, get a font of your choice, download and apply and change region back to Nigeria

Faithful4real:

Someone should help me, got my note 8 couple of days back and I have been finding it hard to use Google Play store.
I has to download some apps through chrome and I can't even update the apps

1. Check your playstore settings if it looks like this.

2. If it doesn't work clear data of Google framework and play services and try again.

Ok.. below

https://bigota.d.miui.com/V11.0.2.0.QCNMIXM/miui_OLIVEGlobal_V11.0.2.0.QCNMIXM_1cfce9e7c8_10.0.zip

How to manually update..

Go to Settings > About phone > System update.

If tapping the 3-dot button shows the “Choose update package” option, click on that and choose the downloaded ROM from your internal storage or SD card. In case you don’t find the “Choose update package” option from the 3-dot menu, tap on the MIUI 11 logo inside the “System update” page several times. A prompt will then show that additional updater settings are now available. Now you can tap on Choose update package and select the MIUI 10 update file

That’s it. The system will start decrypting the file and install it automatically for you. Wait for it to finish the process, which may take 10-30 mins

Data should be on during the decryption process
