I'm yet to test the Gcam properly but I think the stock camera on the note 9pro tops Gcam. The stock camera is more colourful than photos taken with the Gcam...I stand to be corrected though,perhaps it may be the settings on the Gcam

Which Gcam did you download?

Over saturation and poor exposure doesn't make a good picture.

The stock camera is good no doubt but it is still some way off Gcam from what I have seen.

When you now compare Gcam night sight Vs stock night mode, you will come back and give verdict

1x - main camera
0.6x - Ultrawide camera
1.whatever - 2.7x(not sure) - Macro lens.

It is not a problem or a bug. Is just your SIM unable to send to activate find my device. I have noticed it is SIM selective

Use the Nairaland search and search for GCam for Redmi 8.

Use DevCheck instead of CPU Z. CPU Z has been inconsistent for a while now.

How to manually update..

Go to Settings > About phone > System update.

If tapping the 3-dot button shows the “Choose update package” option, click on that and choose the downloaded ROM from your internal storage or SD card. In case you don’t find the “Choose update package” option from the 3-dot menu, tap on the MIUI 11 logo inside the “System update” page several times. A prompt will then show that additional updater settings are now available. Now you can tap on Choose update package and select the MIUI 10 update file

That’s it. The system will start decrypting the file and install it automatically for you. Wait for it to finish the process, which may take 10-30 mins

Data should be on during the decryption process

lol..mine is the EU version and besides you should be updating to miui 12, heard it's out for global versions

Pilot testing. Those that downloaded the ROM manually that didn't apply for pilot testing couldn't update it.

You might not be able downgrade and the MTK Chipset won't help issues.

Apart from that considering the age of the phone deterioration is plausible. Consider all these next time you are getting a device.

The 11.0.6 is on pilot testing, it was rolled back immediately they got the number of testers they need. It will be back soon.

Note 9s bro.. the seller was just testing different glass until he got this a20 and it didn't really fit well but na manage.

A20 is smaller than 9S even the front camera placement is different so it is definitely a wrong choice.
