GrandMufti:
You are still in June; does that mean you're related to Alhaji Lei Jun?

Don't leave me, please don't leave me.

GogetterMD:
It was available on MIUI 10 until I stopped using it. Didn't know that it was discontinued.

EU Regulations ensured Xiaomi stopped using their dailers and messaging apps with Global Versions, it started with the Mi 9T Pro. It has nothing to do with MIUI Version.

masterP042:
I've been rocking my Redmi note 9, no regrets so far. Thanks to oga Genius43 for putting me through installation of gcam, and olanyinka.jnr for referring him to me.

You are welcome.

AbuAbdilllah:
. How can I know the different between CN version with Global ROM?

Where are you getting your phone from and which phone do you want to buy?

macbeyland:
I cannot use a phone without record. No matter how expensive.

You can try to flash EU rom on your phone.

The feature is been rolled out device by device by Google on their dailers, Android One phones are getting it first.

atheistandproud:
1. What does the fact that Nigeria doesn't produce chipsets have to do with this post?

Even in almighty Europe, they don't produce chipsets there. All chipsets are manufactured in China.

2. You are contradicting yourself by lambasting Nigeria and Nigerians only to say that the US doesn't produce chips because they're all made in China.

3. Americans don't use Mediatek phones. It's either iPhone, Huawei or Samsung. They consider it shit as well. Is that right? No. Is it their opinion? Yes. Do they have a right to hold that opinion? Of course.

4. FFS, do you realise that even the scientists at arm don't even physically built chips anymore? The whole damn process is automated with little human input. Computer generated.

5. No where in my comparison did I even mention 5G or NFC.

Oga if you have a grouse, make your own topic and write your opinion there.

So far you have made zero sense as regard the above topic. Thank you and have a nice day

I wanted to ask what his post have in connection with topic.

As for Chipset manufacturing. The major players TSMC foundries is in Taiwan(Majorly), Then China(Bigger nodes), US(Planning to upgrade this for smaller(smartphone) nodes and Singapore (Bigger nodes).

Samsung Foundries are in South Korea(Smartphones Chipset are majorly done here) and USA

Moziano22:
so will I be facing any challenges and pls what are the differences with the global stock version.

The problem you will faced is not receiving some 4G networks.
The ROM was already changed from CN ROM to global ROM

Crizillion1:
Got this update. Don't know if I should go ahead with it

Oga update your phone.

colorsofrainbow:
Oga genuis can dis work on redmi note 9s?

Nabi2000:
Good evening, so I bought from AliExpress for the first time in may and the package has finally arrived in Nigeria, through tracking it shows Lagos impc (air) put into domestic bag but that was 5 days ago and no update since then. I tried calling costumer care for nipost but all the numbers aren’t going. I stay at Abuja I don’t know what to do again

It will get to Abuja be patient. Logistics is slow these days.

Gr8fulHeart:
I don't need font oh. I'm just worried why my picture I put as wallpaper keeps vanishing away or is there something I'm not doing right?. I have already downloaded the font I need I change region from Nigeria to India and reverted back after getting the font.

If you are using a third party font (Not from the theme app) it will keep reverting.

You have to apply any third party wallpaper through the theme app.

When you get to my page, click on wallpapers then click on the plus button, locate the picture and apply.

Let me mark register with this.

Shot with RN5 edited with Lightroom.

Gr8fulHeart:
Yes I'm using custom font.

That is the culprit. If you need fonts change your region to India from additional settings, then open theme app, choose your favourite font download and apply, then change your region back to Nigeria.

Gr8fulHeart:
Good evening elders.. please my redmi 8 wallpaper keeps changing once I lock or unlock my phone. What do I do? I searched online and read about disabling wallpaper carousel but there is nothing like that on my phone . Pls help

Apply wallpaper through the theme app. Are you using a custom Font?

postdigger:
Boss, recently when I plug my phone in, sometimes it charges normally (meaning the quick charge doesn't work) until I remove the cable and insert it back on my phone.

Like I said it happens sometimes not everytime. I just want to know if it happens or is there a problem

It is not a problem.

Hargbo:

Hi guys, any seller in PH here?
I need the Redmi cc9e.
Any renowned marketer who has it in stock should reply me pls

It is not Redmi CC9E but Mi CC9E.

It is Chinese exclusive and hope you are aware of its pros and cons like the 4G bands it supports and it comes with Chinese ROM?

SpicyMimi:
That's expensive oooh....now I get it. Which bank can I use to get it cheaper? And is it advisable to order for a dress that would be worn at least 1st week of August now?

GTB is the cheapest currently at between ₦390/391.

I won't advise you to make that order because logistics is messed up currently. Source locally.

SpicyMimi:
Trying to pay for an order and it keeps saying I need to add money to my card even though I have more than the amount. I am using Access card. What can I do?

What exchange rate did you use to calculate? Because Access Bank is in the region of ₦440-445

bussy4life:
Please I need oga Genius WhatsApp no....Thanks in anticipation

Hello. I’m about to order some products on Alibaba. I don’t know if I can pay $574 using my gtbank card. I’ve been using it for less than $50 payments.

The limit is $500 monthly. If you want to do more than that apply for Dollar MasterCard

Vibesking:
I got the Oraimo Toast 10 power bank (10000mah) few months back and its been a colossal flop!

This thing takes nothing less than 52 hours to get fully charged. And when fully charged, it barely powers my phone twice.

Can someone recommend any good power bank?
One that charges quickly.

Romoss or Mi 2C powerbank.

Trex4:
I've not used oh but it's just that snapdragons are becoming expensive compared to MTK. I heard snapdragon 875 will be 250$ on its own. That's more than budget phones. I'm wondering the snapdragon equivalent they would have used. Even Xiaomi had to switch from 632 to 459 in the redmi 7 to 8 because of price.

IT wasn't because of price. There was no new lower 600 series released that year. They couldn't use SD 665 on both RN8 and R8.

Update Post:
