The devices from Redmi note 10 series with issues are majorly devices made in India and not the global versions.

If you click on the pause doesn't it unpause?

If it doesn't, clear cache and data for your system updater app and try again.

I don't know about always o. Redmi 9t is the one with deadboot issue not Redmi 9.

The only flaw in Redmi 9 is after a long time of use some units encountered Network IC issues.

If you are getting the Ordinary Redmi 9 no problem. But 9 Prime is a no-no.
