What makes GoshenCoin unique from other cryptocurrencies?


First of all, GoshenCoin is a Digital Asset that works on the Blockchain. A digital asset is anything of value that can be safely stored in a computing device. This could be text, audio, image or video.

i. The recurring contraction in global economies, with the most recent being the fall in prices of commodities in the international market, especially crude oil.

ii. The volatility of bitcoin which has led to unpredictable rise and fall in price.

In very recent past, falling demand for crude oil by China, emergence of more oil producing nations, increased supply to the market, and the production of shale oil as alternative energy source, led to crude oil selling for lower than $38 in 2016. The result? Oil producing nations going bankrupt and unable to meet their fiscal responsibilities, depleted freign reserves, and depreciation in local currency value.

The second series of events relate to the price movement of bitcoin. Bitcoin is a decentralized payment system that use peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority or banks, managing transactions and the issuing of bitcoins is carried out collectively by the network. Bitcoin as also being categorized as a store of value, due to it's continuous appreciation in price. Cryptocurrencies, especially bitcoin, have being widely touted to replace fiat currency, because it is not prone to inflation. Bitcoin remains the most prospective cryptocurrency, and 'most stable' but has shown to be very volatile. In the first week of January of 2017, the price of bitcoin fell from above $1,000 to just over $700 in a few days. It has since appreciated above January highs, but not over another imminent price crash.

GoshenCoin is a cryptocurrency, a Digital Asset with mechanisms built into it that guarantee price stability and appreciation over time. GoshenCoin falls into an Asset Class of its own. An ICO is an unregulated means by which funds are raised for a new cryptocurrency venture. A percentage of the cryptocurrency is sold to early backers in exchange for legal tender or bitcoin.
