chibwike: Yeah, most of us do commit sin, ask for forgiveness, God forgives us. But then we might still fall into sin again, coz we are humans. If we asks God for forgiveness again, wud he tend to punish us before forgiving us.

The concept of sowing and reaping applies also to actions done by us. God, in the bible in Gen 8:22 stated that "while the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."

Some refer to this is karma. When a person does something wrong, he is merely planting a seed, and the result is inevitable. The same goes for someone who does something good.

If after the wrong action, the person realizes his mistake and asks for forgiveness, the bible in 1 John 1:9 states "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." God doesn't just desire to forgive you, He also wants to cleanse you from unrighteousness. This means He wants to take away that thing (could be urge, disposition etc) that causes you to sin.

So even though you have being forgiven by God for repenting and confessing your sins, the fact that those "sinful" acts have being set in motion by the law of sowing and reaping means that there would be results. And these "results" are not brought about by God wanting to punish you, but by the inherent law of what you sow is what you reap.

There's also a remedy, the law of faith. With the law of faith, you can successfully alter the negative results that would have come your way. Mark 11:23 "For verily I (Jesus Christ) say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith"

With the introduction of Computer Based Testing (CBT) into Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), the examination body has shown its seriousness in moving technology.

UTME 2013 had about 15% of the total candidates registering for CBT. UTME 2014 had more people taking CBT exams than 2013.

JAMB has promised that starting from UTME 2015, all candidates will seat for CBT.

The good news is that candidates dont have to wait for too long before their results come out. And also, CBT will reduce the amount of missing results experienced by candidates.

One merit of CBT in UTME 2013 was the candidates performed generally better than those who put in for paper and pencil. With this is mind, it is expected that more candidates will apply for CBT in the future.

To help candidates prepare and pass the UTME & Post UTME CBT, I highlighted very important points to note and follow:

1. Be familiar with a computer keyboard. Get to know the shortcuts and practice severally because this gives you a better chance than someone who's not familiar with the keys on a computer keyboard.

2. JAMB and Post UTME past questions is your best friend. Whether you're writing CBT or PPT, there are likely questions which are recycled in the exam every now and then. Your preparation with past questions improve your chances of recognizing them and answering them correctly.

3. Practice, practice, practice!!! With a good CBT platform. Even if you're familiar with a computer and the internet, you need to constantly practice with an online CBT platform so you can work on your speed and perfect the art of online exam. A good place to start is e-learning Nigeria.

4. Learn to time yourself when taking the exam. Before you start any exam, you should be able to share the time proportionally between the questions. E.g. If you have to answer 40 questions and you're given 50 mins. It means that you need to spend an average of 1 min 15 secs (50 mins divided by 40) on each subject. If you realize that you can't resolve the question within 1 min 15 secs, you should be smart enough to skip it and proceed to the next question. If you work like this, you'll find out that you will get to the last question and realize that you still have some time to solve the ones you've skipped earlier on.

Seems the latest version of XAMPP has issues installing on Xp, but works fine on Vista & Windows 7. You can get an earlier version from their site.

I like namecheap and godaddy. For a good host that supports wordpress, just make sure the hosting plan comes cPanel. It has the most popular CMS like Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, Mambo running on it. Installation is at the click of a button.

The best for those who are new is to go for managed wordpress hosting, where wordpress, and if you want, the plugins installed for you. Like I said earlier, I'm working on such a hosting plan.

Interswitch requires 150k for setup, charges about 1.5% per transaction, payments received with interswitch is credited directly into your account. It's being around for quite a while, with support from many Nigerian banks, so people naturally go for it cause they're more assured of the stability of the payment system.

Voguepay requires 1k to setup business account, chargers per transaction is 2%, and payments received with Voguepay gets paid into your Voguepay account and you have to make withdrawals in order to access it. Though voguepay seems to be doing fine, it is still relatively unknown so people will tend to have mixed feelings paying on the platform.

That said, Voguepay is a very good choice when starting out. They offer lots of support for web developers. They have plugin for wordpress, module for drupal, and other CMS.

For hosting, I like namecheap and godaddy. However to make sites set up easier for wordpress installation, I have a hosting platform in the works that should be out before this month runs out.

Please also note that you need secure connection on your site if you want to receive payment online.

When you pay 1 kobo, it is no more free. Free means free. Consat calls it Free to View for marketing purposes. Though the N1,000 monthly you pay is referred to as Service Charge for maintaining your account.

Free to Air (FTA) allows you to watch satellite channels free without subscriptions. You can receive signals from any broadcasting satellite which does not encrypt (scramble) it's channels. FTA is what most people are familiar with since Strong decoders are used for getting these signals.

Free to View (FTV) most often runs on a paid platform, but allows you to watch some channels free even though your subscription has expired. An example is when you use a decoder that has a subscription plan of N4,000 monthly. After the subscription expires, most satellite pay tv will scramble all of the channels so you have to pay for subscription if you want to watch any channel. However, if the satellite pay tv offers FTV, they will allow you to watch some select channels even after your N4,000 subscription expires.

Interestingly, it's the same thing for most other countries covered by DStv (Supersports). That's where our govt (NBC) has to come in.

Tx. To track it, you use only MPEG 4. The channels are Free to View (FTV), not Free to Air(FTA). They can only be watched with the Consat decoder.
