I get question... met this girl course 46 screening... we hit it off... got so close and you know!!
We had seen a couple of times before she resumed cadet training... she called yesterday night and make I no lie, I might still have feelings for her...
Does the military allow a male officer marry a senior female officer? Cos I know they have strict cross dating and marriage rules!!

Ps this is fiction... I just want to know if it’s allowed Cos I know officers can’t Mary NCO’s in all the services
Tho you said it's fiction, but if it isn't, Bro continue your blossoming relationship if truly you love her and care a great deal for her. When una reach the bridge una go cross am. Who knows you may end up not joining the military, so why jeopardize a friendship for the fear of unforseen.

What do I know? I'm just an ordinary street nairalander.

Do you really think they love the armed forces? Most even prefer navy or air force at most. How many doctors do u see around that age is on their side? How many do u know for u to concludehuh I just laugh at u, can't count how many doctors I'm surrounded with. Small brain kwa? Bro u funny, u can have passion and won't still be good simple. Probably u don't know how their curriculum is for u to be saying all this if only you know, u won't say all this lol. You can have 60 and still fail so someone will small brain, how e wan take reach am? Lmaoo make i pim
Loving the Armed Forces or taking a shot at it is relative from one individual to another and you and I don't have access to a large sample of doctors to make a unanimous decision so let's leave at that, we are only privy to our little sample space, reason why I said those not willing or having the means to relocate out of the country.

Gone are those days where Drs usually graduate at a very old age, for the past 5-7yrs, judging using my Alma mater which is a Federal school. Medical graduates are quite young, in same age bracket with their engineering, law counterparts and I believe it's relatively same across several uni in the country.

Sir, when I mentioned passion, discipline patience first before small brain, I know what I am talking about. I have sieen so many super intelligent guys dropped out of med school (not because of financial reasons or ill health oo) and the OK guys graduate successfully and become good practitioners.

Irrespective of whatsoever their curriculum is, it's the same patience, discipline, dedication and small brain that would make you successful across every course discipline. With all due respect to the Medical Field, excluding the small periodic tests in the Med school, their Major Exam is the Junior MBBS at say year 4 and the main MBBS exam plus the Pathology and Pharmacology exams then Clinicals, these are mainly the exams where a particular score or grade is allotted a pass mark. Don't you think same is applicable is some specific courses and discipline?

P. S
Don't just conclude using what you may have experienced.

Take yourself as a case study grin if you couldn't complete medical school say you failed, when you are taken to a different location with the right motivation, enabling environment and little effort from your end you will make a good doctor grin

Hope you're having a great Sunday?

Lmao e sweet for your mouth, studying medicine isn't beans. Another thing is, do u think studying medicine, your mind would move towards dsschuh? U funny gan
Nor reason am ooooooo most Medical Doctors, Dentist, Optometrist, Pharmacist, Nurses, Radiographers that do not intend to leave the Country after their study in the uni usually aim their target at different arms of Nigerian Military especially if age dey their side. Dem know as e dey go, It's easier for them to enlist and dem don get the orientation.

Let's not Shake this table of medicine being beans or not, what I know is that anyone with passion, discipline, Patience (Endurance) and small brain fit read medicine and any course.

You are right.. 2nd Lieutenant to lieutenant promotion is 2 years and 5 years for captain... the luckiest Dssc guys will make colonel and might not make it further ... there’s even one captain in my area.. he was dropped as a captain and he answers captain everywhere...he’s not so well to do.. but before LT Buba died, he told me that it’s very easy for Ssc guys to convert now... pass your exams and have served in NE at some point, you’d be considered as long as you pass the requirements for conversion..and you can start trying your conversation when you hit the rank of Lieutenant..just like you have 3 trials to pass exams, you also have 3 trials to convert..
I’m not sure Dssc writes promotion exams so if they are spending longer on a rank, means the system was decided to affect them kinda.. I know a Dssc medical doctor that’s a lieutenant colonel now... never had issues.. rented a big house for his wife and daughter in Abuja..
DSSC do not write exams for Promotion, they're judged based on their PER (Performance Evaluation Report) but for them to convert I think they write exams or also go for a kind of exam trials.

So as a DSSC you will need to be watchful how many of your state and zone coursemates are Doctors, how many doctors are your direct seniors and direct juniors from same state. If dem many na to start to pull godfather strings ooo.

As a Lt. Col Medical officer, you can be the commander of a DMSH sef, even some majors and Captain Doctors dey be CO or acting Commander of some Brigade or Battalion MRS.

Moreover hope you know medical personnels both Officers and NCO's usually have a special or different salary incentives than other Corps. A Corporal Nurse can be earning as high as a Staff Sergeant or WO in otger Corps. Even a WO Nurse can Earn as high as a Captain if not more. grin grin na only Finance Corps personnel dey rival their pay, If you know you know

From my own little understanding and interaction with friends in our lords business, like the SSC 44 guys its most likely gonna be 2 whole years b4 they become full LT. Major to Lt. Col is now 6years I know a mentor who was affected by this. Lt. to Capt. na confirm 5years. Where problem dey especially for DSSC na From Capt to Major. SSC and RC guys is normal 5years except on special promotion or failure of promotion exam. But for DSSC, conversion to DRC is where it gets tricky. this conversion is not automatic, it's based on availability, it becomes difficult for a normal DSSC officer to convert easily especially when you have lot of doctors from their state. The doctors usually gets the upper hand and are attended to first and this is where inside politics also takes place. So ordinarily if you don't converted to DRC as a DSSC Captain, your promotion to Major is affected and the longer you stay there the closer your normal age and years on rank catches up with you. that's why you see some DSSC officers are still captain for 6 to 7years and probably they also have a bad PER from their Superiors (CO's and Commanders).

But for SSC guys even tho it's still based on availability, its very easy to convert to RC as compared to their DSSC (to DRC) guys because they are combatants, they don't have doctors and are readily needed to command different areas.

If I remember correctly, I think DSSC has like 2 abi 3 shots at conversion to DRC.

Can't other combat corps go for the training like the artillery or armour?
They should be able to, I'm not very sure tho especially when they show interest in it and have display marksmanship in the range.

I don't think so, the sniper rifle is not a very mobile weapon.. It's more like a long distance kind kg of weapon. Which infantry soldier will want to be carrying such around?

I think there are special people trained for that kind of weapon.
What I mean sir is that the course to become a sniper is an Infantry Corps course. Just as we have different Trade courses in EME, ST corps etc. Even the Amphibious course is an Infantry course.

Like if you want to be a military driver of different classes of vehicles, you must go through the driving Course at the school of ST in Benin anyone from any Corps can do the course to become a military driver, but it will be handled by ST.

Even the so called Special Forces training are also under Infantry too

Pls under which corps do we have the snipers?
It should be under Infantry Corps. But I believe members of other Corps are allowed to take this course if they are recommended by their unit, especially when they display good marksmanship in the range, or normal weapons training.

Those were the rifle bought during the time of shehu shagari...
How I wish all necessary weapons and armour are made available some of this death would have been avoidable.. I watched the movie Outpost, u need to see the Mrap used by good Army

Bullet can hardly penetrate them, most soldiers took cover with them.. Makes me wonder maybe the movie was over exaggerated.. Cause the last attack, the Mrap looks pretty damaged..

And again no air support as usual, after exhausting bullets na to run, each magazine carried 60rounds, and they give u one extra making 120rounds per person. How will they engage enemies for hours with that without air support? If I want to die for my country lemme die honourable not stupidly

Let the battle be fair, no give me kpako sagamu go fight superior weapon
Actually, each magazine has 30 rounds. Most times they are being issued 2 Magazines for any kind of outing be it escort duties or road block and for a high security outing, the magazine number is increased to 3 or more I think. But know that anywhere they are posted or taken to, there will be an Armourer who would be in charge of arms and ammunition and would issues them as deem fit and I believe they have their Mode of operation when under heavy fire, there are always provision for that. what's the essence of taking over 6 magazine with you when you are not going alone or not wearing a combat jacket that can house them.

I believe you are talking about the WAEC certificate and Scratch card number. it means you buy a scratch card and scan it showing pin and serial number. My concern now is the WAEC scratch card. Hope the accept online purchases showing only pin and serial number, because getting physical card would be difficult this time

Edo do not play that kind of politics sir, never have, never will. That's why all hands are on deck to send Oshiomole back to where we brought him from.
It's always been zonal (tribal sentiments) at the worst, Never religion (you can verify this).
He even wants to unsettle the political dynamics in the state which should have made power return to Edo Central, cos Iyamu must seek a second term, and then power goes back to Edo North. He doesn't know the strength of the forces against him yet, Edos are very traditional people.
you are very correct otenmwen, Ize Iyamu plans is to unsettle the traditional senatorial zoning pattern that has been working in the state. Edo Central would not want a repeat of Osunbor era where they lost the postiion to Edo North thereby loosing their 8yr ruling opportunity.

Edo has never and will never be governed by religious sentiments. Tradition and Customs of governance would always be adhere to. Edo Central would definitely be for PDP, not with the likes of Dan Orbih still in PDP. Edo South would be a fight of who rigs or uses thugs the most. While Edo North would swing towards the APC. If Obaseki can Comprehensively Win Edo Central by landslide, then THUG n RIG his way to victory in Edo South, He would emerge victorious. I would advise GO to start mapping out plans on how to clips Oshiomole's wings from soaring round the state from when the election is few days away.

He should arrest till after the election Kabaka, Osakpanmwan No molest, etc for the numerous crimes and attrocities they have committed in the past.

a sjmple google search would show you pictures of private citizens using the military as bodyguards in nigeria
Majority of those personnel are on illegal duty, it's most likely not sanctioned by their units. Those you see with expatriates are mostly from operations around, they don't act as ordely just escort detail and you will always see mobile policemen or nscdc personnel with them.
Hope you know the difference between being an orderly and being part of an escort detail.
