Besides, the people of Edo State don't vote according to religion n Christan has always be the governor of Edo State n d deputy which tells u dt Edo is a Christian State n d number of Muslim in Edo State compare to Christian is insignificant.Reasons:
1. In 1992, Oyegun was d governor n his deputy was Rev Peter Obadan n both not not working Christians
2. In 1999, Lucky Igbinedion was d governor n his deputy was Mike Ogiadomhe n both of them are Christians.
3. In 2007, Osariemen Osunbor was d governor his deputy was Lucky imasuen n both of them are Christians.

Wrong move by ize iyamu and APC...Edo north already have oshiomole to counter shaibu, there is no need picking a deputy from there....Edo central is PDP by default...they have always proven loyal by giving block votes to PDP. Ize iyamu should have picked someone from there to get their supports..

I'm surprised at this. This is a repeat of what Oshio did in 2016 - picking Etsako (from his side of Etsako - the West side) instead of Esan, as Deputy. All along the plan on ground was Esan deputy and in fact, they already settled for one of the Esan guys in a Federal board (names withheld) and then other guys like Hon. Patrick Ikhariale were also in the race, so I wonder why the sudden turn again by Oshio.
Gani Audu, along with Oshio's younger bro., Seid Oshiomhole are the 2 legislators representing Etsako West in EDHA (they are among the 14 guys that have not been inaugurated). My question now is, how can they be able to convince Esan people, Ora people (that is, Owan) and all the other Edo Ethnicities, plus even the rest Etsako people - Etsako East (Agenebode, etc) and Etsako Centrall (Fugar, Ekperi, etc) that after 8 straight years of Etsako/Benin (Oshio/Odubu) and then 4 years of Benin/Etsako, that it is better to vote for Ize-Iyamu for another possible 8 years of Benin/Etsako than for Obaseki to finish 4 years of Benin/Etsako. How do they plan to convince us? Well, we will all see.

Esan land is a pro PDP stronghold. APC never take that place serious just like Igbo land cos they will always vote PDP no matter what you say or do for them. Ize Iyamu from Edo south has been the one winning election for PDP candidates in Edo south since 2016 till the last day he joined APC. Obaseke is a weak politician without any structure on ground most especially in Edo south where he came from. Ize Iyamu even defeated him in his polling unit and the entire local government. Ize Iyamu will sealed Edo south while Oshobaba will do the needful in Edo north. Esan land should continue with their one way politics, one day their son will become the governor when a state is created for Esan state with Ewu as its capital

He should have picked a senator or house of reps member so that Oshiomole can go to retired governor's home.
