You can't stay back with a six months course.Mba or bsc are programs that can provide u such part way to stay back.
Lordinit:
If I move to Mauritius with the intent of a six months cullinary/Chef training, can I work within this period? How many years will I be given? Can I stay back after the program?
Thanks in advance for your responses.

Well I have already made my research Mauritius gives you a temporary licence I don't need to come back to Nigeria, with that j can work there, not all countries require u to have experience there are countries that takes fresh graduates.
ChybuzzDD:

I can see how determined you're, but remember you'll need some years of work experience to be able to get employed 'all over the globe'.
So, part of your research should include knowing where you can first get these work experience after schooling.
Will you be allowed to work with your license over there in Mauritius or do you need to come back to Nigeria to get the needed practical experience?
If the later is the only option, is the certificate from Mauritius recognized in Nigeria by the Nursing council?
These are the things you need to find out because no country will employ a fresh nursing graduate without any work experience.

Just know that for nursing you can never go wrong, they are needed all over the globe,so put your mind that money you said can take your fees if you make use of form A and admission is on.So it's up to u.
Hadassahly:

Haba... Just wanted to know as many pathways available. Just a part of the whole research process so one knows what they are getting into.

It's okay... Really appreciate your time so far. Best wishes Ma'am kiss!

I can't make decisions for you, everyone has their own plans, you dont expect me to be telling you my own plans,we have different reasons for studying it's up to you to know why you want to study nursing, don't do something because others are doing it.
Hadassahly:

Thank you so much. I believe the Mauritius degree plan is just for transit into better countries. If I may ask, how do you intend to do that. Can one get jobs or scholarships 'abroad' easily with their degree
Apologies if it appears like I'm prying o wink I just want to gather as much knowledge as possible before I make my decision. Thanks :- kiss
Travel / Re: Mauritius Study And Work by Gernny(f): 7:32am On Jan 27, 2023
Very straight forward, application is straight forward. Its up to you.Its a three years diploma in nursing after which you become a registered nurse just like school of nursing in Nigeria that is three years that what you require to be a nurse.Money is high but worth it.
Hadassahly:

Wow. Congratulations. Was the application process really straightforward? May I ask how long it has taken you?

5000USD is quite on the high side. Looking at when I dd the travel costs, processing and small money to settle down when there, will be rounding up into 3m like that. Yet nursing and MPH are the closest viable options for me.

Thank you smiley

I'm just wondering whether It is still worth it to go to south Africa for studies with the view to settling there

Even if temporarily
Travel / Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Gernny(f): 11:50pm On Jan 18, 2023
Thanks my mind won cut because my airline is Cote d'Ivoire airline and it's landing at tambo airport
Myst77:

Not misleading anyone. My response was to this question by @djbaju (check the thread for the full question):
“… can I use Ethiopian or Rwanda air reservation for my evisa application…”
That was why I mentioned the two airlines in my response. The key thing to note is that evisa holders must arrive at OR Tambo Intl, period. You can use any airline as long as you arrive at that airport. Also, I suggested a direct flight from LOS to JNB to avoid any potential transit issue (in any case you can always call the airlines directly to confirm their acceptance of SA evisa if you’re not sure). I hope this clarifies your concern.
Travel / Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Gernny(f): 4:10pm On Jan 18, 2023
Visa processing how?
djbaju:
He isn't saying you can't travel with your airline, these airline mentioned are for visa processing.

Travel / Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Gernny(f): 12:33pm On Jan 18, 2023
So are you saying aside those two airline one can't to go SA because my flight is cote d'Ivoire airline and I have my visa already.Make una no dey mislead person o.
Myst77:
It shouldn’t be a problem provided that you’ll be landing at OR Tambo intl airport. SA evisa holders must arrive at OR Tambo and no other airport. Ensure that you book a direct flight from Lagos to Johannesburg with Rwanda Air or Ethiopian.

As for bank statement, please DO NOT submit an e-statement. Statement must be stamped and signed by the bank. You can then scan the original and upload on the evisa platform.

For hotel bookings, if you have a contact in SA who has a good relationship with a hotel there, you can ask them to help contact a hotel for a booking without payment IN YOUR NAME (there are no certainties though).

OR initiate a refundable booking IN YOUR NAME via a hotel’s website or by contacting them directly but they’ll need a USD card info to initiate (could be yours or someone else’s). They won’t deduct money from your card until your check-in date but you must cancel before the actual date if for any reason you won’t be using the hotel. In most cases, the hotel will specifically advise you on their refund policy.

Exactly as long as the expiration date isn't over one can travel.
Anniebam:

Huh?
What does this mean? Someone should confirm this , because you should be able to travel within the days you are given. You can travel any day before the expiration of your visa nor necessarily the day on your flight reservation.
Travel / Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Gernny(f): 5:57pm On Jan 10, 2023
