Sheikh Gumi is quick to condemn scavengers, but remarkably quiet when it comes to terrorism and banditry. Scavengers may be a nuisance, but terrorists are killing and kidnapping Nigerians. Selective outrage is not moral courage; it is hypocrisy.

Sheikh Gumi seems to have found his voice when it comes to condemning scavengers, but that same voice often becomes strangely restrained when confronted with terrorism and banditry.

That is a disturbing misplaced sense of priority. Scavenging can be a nuisance, but terrorists and bandits are killing, kidnapping, extorting and displacing innocent Nigerians. If you cannot show the same urgency—or greater outrage—toward those committing the most horrific crimes, then people have every right to question your priorities.

Nigeria does not need selective condemnation. We need people with the courage to call out criminals and terrorists without excuses, regardless of who they are or where they come from.

When my best friend was preparing for his wedding, he created a WhatsApp group for the committees and friends. I later realized it was mostly for appearances. If this is true, it creates the impression that the EFCC can be used at the President's whim. The account freeze shouldn't have happened in the first place if there was no legal basis for it. If there was a legal basis, it shouldn't be reversed because of political pressure or public backlash. Simple survey will indicate that cause of traffic 🚥 Is usually bad road. I believe each state is already interconnected. these roads have been dilapidated over the years due to poor maintenance culture. Why not use half of the money used to build these new roads and maintain the existing ones then use the other half and inject to the power industry or agriculture.

Why can't all these bloody importers pool funds and build a refinery of their own to rival dangote's. How can a country as rich as Nigeria don't have a state owned refinery that can produce fuel at a subsidized price for the citizens, sell excess to other country, use the money derived to build infrastructure and social services for the good of all.
