I have this same issue this guy is also saying.
Read this guy's post below, same thing happened to me after paying back a loan, I was given another without requesting for it

I really don't know what to say because it has been a long time I stopped patronizing all these loan apps.

There are certain groups on Facebook where you can seek the opinion of those that have passed through similar issues. You can search for 'say no to sokoloan app' and you will come across many such groups regarding loan apps.

This is their format now.

The mistake you did is transferring back that 38k. Now, they will still go ahead and defame you despite not spending kobo from that money.

Most times they arrest the offenders....
That is according to you. But the reality is we hardly hear anything after such incidents.

I'm not in anyway in support of those group of people you mentioned earlier, I only commented because of the perceived tribalism and religion sentiment in your comment.

Nigeria is just too complex. If I could have my way, I would have divide this country.

Only in Nigeria would someone be killed by Islamic fanatics for blasphemy or killed by Fulani herdsmen for Islamic dominance and no arrest will be made and another person will be locked up for speaking the truth about the killers...
You forgot to include someone being killed for stealing 1 cup of garri by Southern and Christian fanatics.

You have no right to tell me to rest when you stand by your opinion. I never said anything was the reason for blaming the government for everything so, don't put your words into my mouth. If you aren't comfortable with the interest rate, don't take the loan simple. Approach your banks instead for loan.
I have no intention of replying you. But then I realized that I misunderstood your previous response.

Make you na no vex abeg.

I won't take loan for anything again be it business or something else. I had rather used what I have no matter how small it is.

The interest is dependent on the duration of the loan so if you don't want to pay such a large interest then make sure you choose a short duration.

Be informed that short term loans are not used to finance or start new businesses anywhere in the world. It is a funding mismatch for you to use a loan with 30 day period to finance a business transaction that will mature in 180 days!
That's very true. But I was just giving an example, I ain't taking any loan.

OK. Where there is no standard interest rate, there's nothing like reap off customers here. It's a business. When the terms aren't Favourable, you borrow from family and friends instead. To those who pride themselves in taking loans and deliberately defaulting, that's their own problem. It's easy to sit in our house and blame the government for everything. If you have anything against these loan apps, the best is to write a review on play store and with time they'll listen. If they don't listen, you look for other means. A loan app isn't a charity organization. It's not a government organization either. It's just like all these private institutions.
Guy rest abeg!

I have said what I have said and still stand by it. Who is responsible for regulating these companies if not the government and how is asking the government to regulate them become blaming the government for everything? . You are saying it is business, aren't supposed to be regulated in such a way that it will become beneficial to both parties involved?

This is my last reply concerning this issue.

I think that's even 148 percent interest if my calculation is correct. Despite that fact, these apps are helpful to people. They want to make profit just like every other business man out there, just like every other phone repairer, sales man out there and I don't think there are measures in place to regulate this. Therefore, anything goes. By lending people money without paperwork or collateral, they put themselves in a vulnerable position and the fair thing to do is to try to pay up on time or try to extend the payment date. That being said, I hope they are going to reduce the interest rate though I know I'm not entitled to make such requests. I mean, they are a private organization right?
Nah, it is 74%. They are out to make profit doesn't mean to reap off their customers.

Meanwhile, there are still many people taking the loan with the intention of not paying back. There are many groups in Facebook where you see people prouding about the number of apps they took loan from without paying.

The thing is, all this is synonyms to lack of proper regulation. Even with this registration, nothing will stop these loan companies from charging exorbitant interest and many people would still borrow without paying back. The only thing this registration will curve is the defamation of defaulters.

The Nigerian government can do better by putting proper regulatory guidelines of operation to this companies and the companies in turn device lesser risk mechanisms of giving loan.

Hmm. While we may not be comfortable with their interest, I believe people see all these terms and conditions before taking the loan and it's not advisable to take a loan if the money is not used to make more money. You can decide to pay back over a period of 12,18 or 24 months though the total amount to be paid back is going to increase. It's simple mathematics. You can pay a little amount of money to extend the due date. I have been lucky to get a top up loan before from them and from what I've heard, they don't call your contacts compared to other apps. Please, let's stop demonizing these loan apps. Some people find them helpful. It's not by force to take loans.
Yeah, they don't defeme their customers. But nothing justify charging an interest of 74% in space of 6 months. There is not even guarantee that a person will gain such percent (74%) of his capital in a year if he eventually invest that money in a business

Which ease money? That one is worst. I downloaded their app last year but when I saw their charges, I immediately deleted it. Men it was Soo high... I just needed 10k to make up one money like that. So I said let me see if other ones will be better than fair money who charges 1500 for 10k. Omor this people charge 3k for 10k. I just jejely went back to fairmoney.

Now, for 10k, fairmoney charges 1400 or thereabout.
40k used to be 10k but now 5k plus if you're paying back in two weeks or 6k + for one month duration.

Easemoni is different from ease money o. I once borrowed 12k from them and paid back 13.2k in 2 weeks.

Over a period of how many months, and how much per month? Why don't you state it. Give a complete information.
It's simple SIMPLE INTEREST in Mathematics.
And do you know there's option to extend your loan date, even receive top up loan.
Over a period of 6 months. To be paying 87k each month.

When last did you deal with them? They recently reduced their interest rate though it's high but compared to other ones I think it's a bit fair.

Which ones do you recommend that is better than fair money?
I have never taken loan from them. What I wrote earlier happened to someone I know and it was about 2 months ago.

I have only borrowed from easemoni and okash before. And to me their interest rate is way fairer than that of fairmoney.

But I have since stopped patronizing these loan apps and anything loan in general.
