. ng or .Com.ng domain is good when targeting audience . See reasons.

Why .ng Domains

Home / .ng domains / Why register .ng domains?
WHY REGISTER .NG DOMAINS
.ng domain names are the best choice especially when you're targetting a Nigerian web audience. We list why.

1. Target Nigeria

If Nigeria is your target market, then we strongly suggest that you register a .ng domain name. If you do not intend to design a customized website for residents of Nigeria, you can re-direct traffic to your (more popular?) .com/.net/.org or any other international top-level domain (TLD).
Doing business with a .ng domain shows you are serious about your Nigerian audience/customers.
2. Rank well on Google Nigeria

Why are we mentioning Google? Google is by far the leading search engine on the WWW (Internet) today. It is also the only major search engine that has a version for Nigeria.
Google Nigeria offers it's users an option of searching Nigerian websites only. Apart from GeoIP location, Google's other means of determining Nigerian websites is the .ng TLD. In a nutshell, Google will correctly determine your website as a Nigerian website, if you are using a .ng domain even if your website is hosted outside Nigeria, and does not use a Nigerian IP address.
3. Help develop Nigeria's ICT infrastructure

Are you a Nigerian citizen/company/organization? You should be proud to show your Nigerian identity online too.
Other countries' domains like Germany (.de), United Kingdom (.co.uk), France (.fr), South Africa (.co.za) amongst many others, are very popular, because the website owners in the respective countries prefer their country's domain suffix, to .com/.net/.org, amongst other reasons. You too can help develop Nigeria's Information / Communications Technology (ICT) infrastructure, by registering .ng domains.
This is just a first step towards development. With .ng being popular, we can then agitate for Nigerian websites to be hosted in Nigeria. We can then develop more Internet exchanges, and keep Nigerian Internet traffic local. Other countries have done it, we can do it, and do it better. smiley
4. Avoid cyber-squatting

You probably already own a very valuable brand, that is widely recognized in Nigeria? You already have the .com form of your domain name? You should consider registering a .com.ng as well. If you are not ready to create a website for Nigeria, you can re-direct traffic to from your .com.ng to your .com domain name.
5. Other TLDs are taken

This should be the last reason why you would consider a .ng domain. Your business name is Web4Africa for example? web4africa.com is taken? Why bother about web4africa-something-somewhere.com? Why not simply register web4africa.com.ng?
This way, you maintain a short and easy to remember domain name, while still targetting a Nigerian audience, ranking well on Google Nigeria, and helping developing Nigeria's ICT infrastructure.

BusinessRe: 7 Reasons Why You Should Start Your Online Business Now!!! by Ghidey(m): 2:43pm On Sep 01, 2016
importexpert:
To be frank with you, Nigerian economy is tight as it has always been. it is as unfavorable as our lazy minds want it to be. if complain without thinking outside the box is the greatest weapon we hold up to, then i assure you the tunnel will get thiner towards the end and their will be no light at the end of the tunnel. despite all the complain about the economy, Millionairs are still being made in Nigeria on a monthly basis.

As a matter of fact As you read this article, thousands of people are making real money online, working just a few hours a day from the comfort of their own home. They are living a life that most people only dream about. They took the decision to make extra money at home by starting an online business. If these sounds like something you would like to be doing, keep reading because I am giving you 7 good reasons why you should start your own and make that extra money that you really need. below are the reasons.

1. More freedom

Starting an online business gives you more freedom. It will give you more free time to spend with your Family and Friends. This is what most busy people crave for. If you are one of them, then consider very seriously about starting your own online business. keep in mind that it will be beneficial to automate your business to the best you can so even if you are not spending time online, it will keep making you money.

2. Work your own hours

When you start your own online business, you create your own working hours. Some people like to work late at night (including myself) and others prefer to work early in the morning. You have the freedom to choose the hours that in your opinion make you feel more comfortable and the same time more productive. Remember you are the boss cheesy.

3. No overhead expenses

With an online business you do not have to worry about any operational expenses like leasing a building, paying utilities, paying employees, etc. To run an online business you only need a computer, a good connection to the internet, a willing to learn mindset and tangible sources to learn from. things are changing fast now that so many online businesses can be carried out using our mobile phones.

4. Easy to start

You don't have to be a genius to start your own online business and you don't need any well guarded secrets to make easy money online. It's all about know-how. You can get a good eBook or a good program at next to no cost that can teach you about online business and how to apply the different strategies to promote your website and have a successful online business. You can start making money on the internet as soon as you are willing to put some effort on your part.

5. The whole world is your market

You will be able to make real money online because you can do business anywhere in the world and it doesn't matter where you live. You can live in Ajegunle and do Legitimate business with people in U.k or with people in Canada. It makes no difference. With an online business the opportunities are endless because the internet is a global Village.

6. Affordable

Unlike a regular offline business like a Provision store, a restaurant, Transportation business, health or any type of these businesses, starting an online business requires very little start up capital. As a matter of fact, you can start with less than N10,000. This amount is to cover the basic needs like the domain name, web hosting, autoresponder, etc this is when necessary. Some of the most successful online marketers today started their online business on a shoestring.

7. A 24 hours business

Your business will be running 24 hours a day 7 days a week with nobody complaining about it. You see, after you automate your online business the best you can and that should be one of your main goals, then you don't need to spend more than a few hours on your computer but the internet will be working for you and making you profits 24 / 7. Nothing beats making money on the internet 24 hours a day working just a few hours a week.

Conclussion: Procrastinating if you should start your Online business? Remember the words of Napoleon hills In His Think And Grow Rich, he said "the best time to start is now either you are ready or not because if you are waiting for the right time you will end up never starting cool.

Hear and see rubbish again...government of palliative measures.... We want growth and development not palliative measures to buy cars... Grow the economy to the level we can buy cars... Diversify the economy not palliative measures.... We have glass...steel....coal...gold....uranium... Bitumen.... Lands for farming.... Yet the government just wants palliative measures to buy gas....we have brilliant youths who are being forced out of the country due to hopelessness

Putting Nigeria's mortgage industry on track will require over a trillion naira and detailed record of our citizens
i hope your head is not blocked.
is this not an investment to diversify the economy?
wont this create thousands jobs?
our youths should reason beyond politics.

Nairaland GeneralEffect Of Behavioural Psychology Of Car Owners On Lagos Traffic by Ghidey(op): 12:47pm On Jul 27, 2016
All policy has its advantages and disadvantages and our perceptions and needs vary which depends on what we take to be advantageous or otherwise.
Since the introduction of the new pump price of N140-N145 per litre traffic situation has reduced drastically in Lagos.
Lagos state which is ever prone to traffic due to the high population with few road networks is presently witnessing her all time low traffic situation after the implementation of the new pump price.
This is not attributed to any strategic input of the state government but the behavioral psychology the pump price has pushed Lagos car owners to.
Lagos car owners now leave their cars at home and join public buses to get to their various places of occupation. This has lead to monumental patronage of public buses.
A typical example is this writer who was spending less than a thousand naira on fuel from Ikorodu to Apapa but now spends about N1, 500 on fuel. A behavioral psychology of dropping his car at home saves him about N700 daily. 2 or 3 more examples are around the readers of this piece in their working environments.
More so, car owners now do a sort of car pooling where colleagues on same route agree to pick each other and jointly fund the cost of fuel or pay the owner of the car some charges. And some car owners pick passengers on the road while going and coming back from office. This has turned most of Lagos car owners to public drivers.
Most cars on Lagos roads now are official cars which are fully maintained by the company or cars belonging to wealthy and people who live above average and people who make money through illegitimate means.
Traffic in Lagos is now as a result of vehicle breakdown, accident, narrow or road compression, road repairs and more importantly obstruction by unorganized “yellow” buses picking and dropping passengers at unapproved bus stop even in the presence of LASTMA officers who unarguably owns some of the buses or get daily settlements from the drivers.
This has also opened up some viable business opportunities and job creation in the transportation industry.
Government and private investors need to leverage on this by providing more conducive buses with double cabin to convey Lagos residents. This will further encourage and improve the behavioral psychology of dropping private cars for public buses and further reduce traffic situation in Lagos.

Nairaland General(Photo)Nigerian Murdered In South African Train by Ghidey(op):
Nigerians in South Africa are at risk of loosing their lives as Xenophobia has seriously continued in South Afrca with Nigerians daily fallingh victims. South African Authorities are pretending and covering up murder cases. Only yesterday,at Ofada in Ogun State on Nigeria, the family of 36 years old Gbemi Jones was thrown into dissary when the news of his killing in a South African train on his way to work by yet unidentified gunmen. Gbemi was reposted to have been shot in the chest whle is money and one of his cell phones were found on him. It was not a robbery case. A member of the Nigerian community in Cape Town identified his body in a mortuary where it was dumped after the killing since about August 26th 2015. No arrest was made and South African train station officials were said to be uncooperative with investigator as the cctv installed in a train platform did not reveal anything since it was said to be out of order. Nigerians believe that government needs to take this matter or Nigerian deaths in South Afriica very seriously and sanction that country since she has not been able to put her people in check and put an end to xenophobia. While South African companies like MTN, DSTV,Shoprite and a host of them are work in and doing well in Nigeria, with millions of South Africam nationals,Nigerians going about their legitimate business in South Africa are daily being murdered and thrown in the mug. Something must be done now. Goggle 'Murder in South African Train' for the story as posted in the scocial media.
