I was in my friend's place that uses Qsat sometimes early last year and he did blind scanning on nilesat I was like... wow, this is awesome. The blind scanning was done within one minute. Emmaachile is right...

Actually my work schedule has made me become conservative. More so, the provision of Dst* by my co. has made me spoil-rotten.
For argument purposes, I'll find this Qsat and try it for 3days to draw my conclusions. Thanks to Emmaachile, Odilebe and Dlee for sharing your experiences

I always recommend decoders like Qsat because of the speed of blindscanning. It will take a Qsat decoder about 1 minute to blindscan nilesat Frequencies while a strong 4669xii and 4992a will scan the same frequency even with 8th Blindscan frequency for about 10 minutes.

So you recommend Qsat over 4922A? Then you are ill-advising people. On what basis is Qsat better than 4922A apart from the first being used for illegal activities?

Blindscaning with strong decoder is never slow. just change the default STEP value(4) to 32 and see the power of strong decoder.

The inverted dish technique is one of the possible ways to go. First of all, attach a fairly long metal plate on which you will fix the second LNBF holder. drill a small hole @ the bottom of this metal plate.

fix it to the same bolt and nut which tightens the primary LNBF holder to the arm. Do it in such a way that this pliable metal plate which houses the second LNBF will be able to bend over and above the primary LNBF.

Now turn the whole dish upside down( together with both primary and secondary LNBF) in this case, the primary LNBF will now come to the top and the secondary LNBF will be hanging on the face of the dish.

Use the Primary lnbf which is now on top to track the Yamal. Then use the secondary LNBF for multi tv. This is something we experimented long ago(68.5E and Multi tv) so I can't find you the picture of it.

Since I'm not in the installation business too, I may not know whether there is an easy modern way of doing this. I will find a picture of the inverted dish and upload same here

In order of quality and user friendly, 4922A>4922D>4950H. In terms of tracking, 4669 series have no challenger. I'll post in detail to compare and contrast the features of these 3 decoders.

@ Pofolo, well spoken. In fact, if Irib was from any country other than Iran, by now it would have cut-off sub-sahara Africa from accessing their channels. You know, Iran is a rogue Nation and doesn't give a damn about international laws! Lets not forget that this Irib package was hosted by an European Satellite but because of sanctions, they forced them out of that satellite which is why Irib moved to Arabsat Satellite in 2012. This move has been a blessing to Africans though, let's not be overly excited and be carried away by posting too much of Irib info everyday. My advice to those Ds*v spies around is that they should tell their pay masters to concentrate on fighting their piracy battle and leave FTA alone!

For those asking of 7W NWA The signal is stable on 1M dish 66/67% MBC night /day .Strong Lnb HD Short Neck.

Arabsat 20e (Irib Package) on 1M dish has long gone at my end [Accra ] but can work on 110M/115M dish if you are technically gifted on how to go about it for lack of space or better still go for 1.8M dish if you have enough space.

I'v been watching with dismay and anger, @ how some guys will out of gaining cheap popularity, want to answer every post thrown in here by every passerby. Don't blame the newbies. Put the blame squarely on the so-called gurus who rush to answer every recycled question! I just don't know whether some old guys are in here for fame or what. Since the site came back from hack attack, about 95% of the posts so far have been nothing less than annoying. B4 the the server went down, some newbies were provided answers on how to combine amos5 & multi tv, yet still, these same people keep on asking how to combine multi tv & Amos5.

Metal dish is better than Fibre dish. When magnetic waves hit the Metal dish non passes through. The same can't be said of Fibre dish.

Dishtech: Pls can somebody in the answer! 1.8m fiber dish and 1.8m metal dish, which one is batter in terms of signal quality?
