I had this experience 3years ago .I was travelling back from ado ekiti to Lagos .so I made a decision I was going to stop over at ibadan to eat amala at a favorite spot that is well known (amala sky) was a bit boxed up then .my transport arrived at ibadan at past 4pm not minding the time I still insisted on accomplish ing what I stopped I stopped at ib for .I got to the famous road side amala/abula spot had the best amala of my life then .I spent bout 2000 naira just to eat a food I rarely eat at a road side canteen.at about pass 5pm I started my journey back to Lagos so I stopped a bike from the canteen to take me to toll gate where I would get a cheap fare to Lagos .I was feeling reluctant to pay more than 500 naira for the bus fare to Lagos even if I had about 6k still left with me then ..while on the bike down to toll gate then I saw a betnaija shop and then I had this gambling addiction I was trying to curb then .so I told to bike man to stop me at shop as I saw the bet shop sign post ahead .I was greedy with my self then I wanted to make more money to chill with in lag .I got in the shop and I started playing the virtual bet .at first I won 1500 upfront to the 6k I had on me .I felt then I needed to make more so I could purchase a power bank when I got to Lagos and still have flex change on me ..I continued playing the bet hoping I would make a 5k upfront and then continue my journey back to lag .then I started losing .first I lost all the money I won ,I still didn't leave feeling it would be a worthless leaving the bet shop without a win .then I was even like if if fit chop 2k ontop my 6k I go do go ,na so betnaija chop me too 7hundred .then I could feel my self being freightened .I became a anxious and started to panic .Note I had an option. To leave then with the 700hundred left on me atleast that could still take me to Lagos with the normal way I planned on moving .but I kept on being ignorant till I was down to 50naira and then night don dey reach finish ..I was soaked in anxiety and panic then coz I didn't have any source of money and the bet shop was soon going to close ..
Other gamblers around could see the panick in me ,I was fucking scared and I knew ib was so like that for an outsider .at about 20 minutes to 9pm another gambler in the store came to me and see make we JFK play one game .means joining money together ,in my mind I was like shey this one dey craze no shey hin no see wetin sup with me for here coz it was obvious I was a Traveller I was with my bag.I only had 100 left on me .I had no option then than to give it my last try since the 100 naira seem worthless anyways I can't even play a bet with 100 the least amount for the virtual bet is 150nair a..we played the game and fortunately for me we won .we had 650 .we had to split it since we JFK play the game .I had 350 of the money .them the shop was about closing but 350 still can't get me to my destination.i had to beg bet attendant to give a last chance to play one more bet I used 200 of the money to book a bet and luckily I won the bet .I then had 950 on me . immediately nobody tell me I picked up my bags and zoomed off to the bus park at bout past 9pm .I got to toll gate bought bottle water and entered a bus to Lagos .not minding the late hour journey I was so relaxed and grateful through out the journey and that day upward .months after I got over my habit of betting and am still grateful ..do what matters and in tough situations apply your brain and faith .
