Infohelp:
APC Presidential Aspirant, Atiku Abubakar has made known to the public that his salary will be nothing but N1million if Elected as the President on Nigeria come 2015 Election.
His decision, according to a source from The Guardian, is predicated on the avowed commitment of the leading APC presidential to “give back to Nigeria for all that the country has done for him.”
Atiku had at the declaration of his intent to contest the 2015 presidential election said he would continue to give back to Nigeria for as long as he is able and capable to do so.
The source confided in The Guardian that the balance of the salary that would have accrued to Atiku Abubakar should he emerge as President will be deployed to people-oriented charities of his choice.
“I believe that Turaki may be considering taking a token salary of N1 not because he is endowed like so many others but to underscore his preparedness to make personal sacrifices in the quest to rebuild and reinvent our dear country and by so doing engender a culture of sacrifice in his envisaged administration,” the source said.

PoliticsRe: Military Recaptures Abadam & Kills Dozens Of Insurgents by ghost1718(m): 9:54am On Oct 27, 2014
Rikidony:
Dozens of Boko Haram insurgents were reportedly killed early Saturday morning in the fight for Abadam, Borno State, between Multi National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) and the terrorists.

Leadership recalls that town was captured last week despite the previously reached ceasefire agreement . At least 40 people were killed and many residents fled to the border communities in Niger Republic in fear for their lives.

However today, October 26, it was learnt from witnesses and security sources that no fewer than 24 insurgents were killed around Abadam as MNJTF soldiers had managed to reclaim Abadam.

The operation was successful due to the combined effort of the air and ground troops, the sources said. In the course of the air attack the most occupied Boko Haram spots of the town were shelled, following which the terrorists scampered into the bushes where they ran into the ambush of the ground troops.

The military source, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed the recapture saying: “We have triumphed against the terrorists and more progress is being made towards liberating towns and villages; I can guarantee you that Abadam is now secured.”

One of Abadam residents identified as Aliyu Goni also confirmed the information in a phone interview with the journalists:

“I saw many dead bodies as we were returning back to Abadam after the soldiers encouraged us to go back home. There were many corpses of the Boko Haram members in Arge ward where the leader of the Boko Haram that led the insurgents into Abadam was seen issuing orders.”

Nairaland GeneralRe: 15 Things Typical Nigerians Do by ghost1718(m): 8:37am On Oct 27, 2014
dlex21:
Having the Nigerian green passport alone does not make you a Nigerian, there are other things that add up to it. We Nigerian have very peculiar stuffs in common irrespective of our diverse culture and differences in religion.
Here are 15 things that shows you’re a typical Nigerian:

1.You Shout Up NEPA: Power is still a big problem in Nigeria,if you've lived or still living in Nigeria you know what I am talking about. So you get excited and scream Up Nepa when the electricity comes on? My friend you’re a Nigerian.

2.You wear Special Outfit for Sundays or Fridays. We Nigerians are very Religious people and very few of us are Godly, sad truth. We don’t joke with our Religious activities. Most Nigerians reserve the best of the best clothes for Sundays (for the Christians) and Fridays(for the Muslims). In fact offering time in churches are like fashion shows with everyone trying to cat walk and show off their beautiful dresses.

3.You don’t ask people their age and you don’t like to tell people your age.
Except it’s something official we don’t like to tell or ask people their age. We Nigerians see asking someone’s age, especially if the person is older than you very disrespectful.

4.You’re boisterous and always Speak loud in Public. Nigerians are very noisy and energetic people,it’s not difficult to identify a Nigerian when you find yourself at International airports .We speak loud with confidence ,you hear phrases like “Do you know who I am?” “My friend I will get you locked up!”

5.You call people you are not familiar with names like: Chairman,Oga,Uncle,Aunty,Bros,Sister etc.

6.You have two Phones to yourself alone. Most Nigerians living in Nigeria own two phones, not just to show off but because of the unstable power and mobile network services, you can’t just rely on one network or phone. If mtn doesn't have network you quickly pick up your etisalat sim card. It's mostly a smartphone and a Nokia phone.

7.You’re materialistic and like to flaunt your wealth at the slightest opportunity given. The Rich Nigerians are really really rich. We buy things we don’t need just solely to fit in with everyone else. Your Facebook updates are things like “lekkibeach chilling”,”Dubai things”,”Money on mind”then just know you’re a Typical Nigerian etc

8.You’re always extremely security conscious and watchful. A Typical Nigerian person is always watching for safety. He doesn't trust anyone around him, everyone is a suspect. He doesn't keep his phone carelessly ‘cos he knows someone is
waiting for such opportunity to steal it. I once traveled somewhere abroad, and the guy who came for me at the airport was telling me how unsafe the place was and why I should keep my belongings safe, I just looked at him and smiled, wish he knew how security conscious we Nigerians are by default.

9.You have relatives that you can’t even explain in simple terms how they are related to you. I hear things like, Hmm Mayo here is my relative Kemi, she is my Fathers brother’s wife cousin’s friend’s Husband. I am like WTH!!

10.You always like to cook Jollof Rice when you have Big Occasions. Party rice grin

11.You use very often phrases like: Eh wo, Ehen, Chineke, Che, Ah-Ah, Yepa! God forbid, by God’s Grace, Nawa o!Wetin sef!No worry, Go joor! etc

12.You know what chin chin, puff puff, or moin moin are.

13. You've never or rarely visit the dentist because you don’t see any reason for that and consider it waste of money.
Nigerians only visit a dentist office when there is no other remedy. Visiting a dentist for normal check-up is not an everyday thing in Nigeria.

14.You like to add “O” to a lot of your talk. e.g Na wa o,Leave me o,O boy!,Na Now o!

15.You read all the above 14 signs and smiled in between

Please add urs grin grin cheesy

As a brief introduction, my name is emmanuel and i have been making money on the internet

since i left secondary school. I always come to this forum to search for new ideas owing to

the fact that no man is an island of its own but i must confess that i have really found

nothing that has beaten the way i have been using over the years.

It just dawned on me to let this idea out to my fellow Nigerians so that we can all

benefit from it and i also have this dream of making Nigeria a better place and i have to

start from somewhere in writing my name on the sands of time.I realise that some people are

poor whilw\e few people are rich in Nigeria and this is because some peolple in this

country do not have enough information on how to make money with little capital while few

people are always looking for adequate information on how to get rich in Nigeria, some

people in this country dont belive that they can be rich through online investment but i am

introducing you to this great financial opportunity that can make you be rich in short

period of time. This is an investment that pays returns just after 20 days. You will get

double of your funds after investing with them.I wouldn't want to be telling stories so if

SportsRe: FIFA Set To Ban Nigeria On Monday by ghost1718(m): 8:50pm On Oct 26, 2014
AdexAbbey:
Nigeria football looks to be, unfortunately, heading into a long, dark night as world football –governing body is set to wield the big stick on Monday (27th October, 2014) against the most populous black nation on earth.
Even as the Super Eagles still have a chance of qualifying for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations to defend their crown, despite a poor start in the race; even with the Golden Eaglets, the reiging champions of the world, ready to compete at the African Championship to be eligible to travel to Chile to defend their world title next year, and with the Super Falcons reclaiming their continental title in Namibia on Saturday, non –conformity to simple football rules and regulations has put Nigeria at the danger of a big slam.
On Saturday in Windhoek, Namibia, CAF President Issa Hayatou told Nigeria’s Sports Minister, Tammy Danagogo in clear terms that the world was fed up with Nigeria’s incorrigibility in the area of football administration.
Hayatou’s words: “I had to plead passionately with FIFA President, Mr. Sepp Blatter not to take action on Nigeria on Friday, because Nigeria was in the final of the African Women Championship and a ban on your country would have been bad for the competition and our sponsors. We all heard the news of the court ruling on Thursday, and the football world is angry with Nigeria. That is the truth.
“The FIFA letter that came to your Federation before the elections of September 30 was very clear about an automatic suspension should there be any interference with the political process, and after the elections went ahead, we all thought you had settled your issues.”
The CAF supremo, at a meeting that had Nigeria’s Sports Minister, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, Nigeria’s High Commissioner to Namibia, Ambassador Biodun Olorunfemi, Nigeria’s Deputy President of the CAF Appeal Board, Mazi Amanze Uchegbulam, CAF General Coordinator, Mr. Paul Bassey and CAF Media Committee Member, Aisha Falode in attendance, said there was no going back on suspension of Nigeria this week if football matters are not withdrawn from civil courts.
“I appealed to FIFA to give until Monday for Nigeria to put its act together. After that, there is absolutely nothing I can do. It is all very disappointing because we have over 50 National Associations in Africa, but a big country like Nigeria is the one always giving us the biggest headache.
“Nigeria signed to be part of the football world by joining FIFA, and opted to abide by the FIFA –approved Statutes that you have. How many times do we have to tell your country that football matters are not taken to civil courts? If Nigeria no longer wants to be part of the football world, then so be it,” an obviously exasperated Hayatou said. His French words were translated to the rest of the Nigeria delegation by the multi-lingual Paul Bassey.
It would be recalled that FIFA President Blatter and CAF President Hayatou, as well as several National Associations and NFF’s partners and political leaders around the world, congratulated Amaju Pinnick following his victory at the September 30 elections.

Hazard has got almost every quality but a cutting edge for goal and a strong hunger for goals. But, i believe he knows this and wants to improve on it. If he can improve on this, there is nothing that will stop him from making the list for FIFA best three players.
