Doti: No update from my end, however since today is bank holiday here, Irish Embassy in Abuja won’t be working today. List of last week’s decisions is likely to be released tomorrow instead of today. I was thinking the same aswell. |

I submitted around September and I am yet to hear from the embassy. Probably the move to the new location is delaying the process. |

Strydermanz: Is it advisable to get accommodation before applying for Visa ? No, I don't think it's compulsory to get the accommodation, because you don't know the outcome of the visa yet. |

Radarada08: Hello, I sent you a DM some months ago, wanted to ask you some questions. Please, I'll like to find out something. I intend sending my application for postgraduate studies at TCD before the end of the month, but I'll like to find out what the initial deposit is.
I noticed that it was mentioned severally even on the scholarship page, that unless an applicant pays the deposit, his/her placement may be withdrawn, basically, after getting an offer, one has to make the initial deposit to secure their placement. But I'm yet to find the actual amount. Can you help me with this information, if you don't mind. I just want to know, so I can prepare myself.
Thanks. Sorry for the late response I didn't receive any mail. However, you can reach me on thesamuelpops@gmail.com. |

The engineering sector I will say is booming right now because I work in the engineering field and it's part of the critical skill list. engrrozay: Greetings Everyone.
Please i need some clarification on the prospect for civil Engineering (Structural Engineering) in Ireland after studies. I have 5 Years working experience in structural Engineering and am hoping to go for Masters in Civil Engineering (university of Limerick). Please i would appreciate if someone can answer this as there is no much online in this area of specialization as per prospects after studies.
Many Thanks |

codedentwickler: Yes my work permit is critical skills and I think the embassy in Abuja processing study visas only at the moment. That is what is stated on the website here (https://www.dfa.ie/irish-embassy/nigeria/our-services/visas/weeklydecisionreports).
I think all employment visas are processed in Dublin. The embassy is currently processing student visa I'll say, because I currently work in Dublin and my company applied the critical skill visa for me, though it has been approved but I cant get the residence permit card till now and I contacted immigration and they said it mostly student visa now. |

Dwebb55: So, I got my Visa approved today. I applied last year and was rejected but was told I could appeal. I did this and with the help of Icas and most especially God, I appealed the decision and today, my visa was one of those on the approved list.
I am awaiting the reopening of our international flights and will be in Ireland when school resumes in September. My advice is to put God first and seek the counsel of experienced people on the forum. I pray that we are all favoured in the coming weeks Congratulations and we are waiting to see you in Ireland soon... |
