The EKSU lecturer who was caught pants down with a student, is attached to the accounting department of the institution.

In the video making rounds online, the lecturer who was seen nude was dragged out of the room by some female students who were believed to have laid siege to the residence of the female student.

A three-day old baby has allegedly been stolen from Plateau State Specialists Hospital, Jos, the state capital, from her mother.

The suspected baby thief was said to have disguised as a hospital worker and claimed to be acting on the instruction of the doctor to bring the infant.

The 30-year-old mother, Mary Chukwuebuka, who addressed reporters on Wednesday in Jos, said the baby was taken away from her on Friday, May 31, three days after birth, by a lady who disguised as a hospital medical worker.

She said: “The lady who took my baby dressed in a laboratory coat, just like the hospital worker, came straight to my bed in the hospital and requested to carry the baby to the children’s ward for blood sample.

“At first, I resisted and said a doctor just left here after a cross-examination but she did not mention that the baby was sick or there was need to run a task.

“The lady insisted that she was directed by the doctor to carry the child to children’s ward for blood sample. I willingly released my baby to her, believing that she was a medical personnel working in the hospital.”

Mrs. Chukwuebuka said she came to the hospital on May 28 and gave birth the following day at 4:47 a.m while the baby was stolen on May 31.

“I went through all the antenatal care in this same hospital and I delivered in this hospital. I was just waiting to be discharged when this happened.

A 19-year-old boy, Prince Chikere, and four other kidnappers have been paraded by Imo State Police Command in Owerri for allegedly beheading three persons.

Others paraded alongside Chikere after their arrest at Obitti in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area by operatives of the Special Anti-robbery Squad, SARS, are Chibuike Oyiwara, Amuzie Uchenna and Odunze Azunna.
Also arrested in connection with the kidnap and murder case are Chibuike Oyiwara, Amuzie Uchenna and Odunze Azunna, Vanguard reports.

The state Police Commissioner, Rabiu Ladodo, has said that the arrest of the suspects alongside 94 others were the achievements of Operation Puff Adder, launched in the state.
He said: “The above named suspects were arrested by Operatives of SARS Imo State. They were arrested in connection with the beheading of three boys at Obitti in 2018.

“One of the suspects, Desmond Alozie, sustained gunshot injury on his right leg in a gun battle with operatives. He was rushed to hospital for medication where he was treated and discharged.

“One of the suspects, Chikere Prince, has confessed he belongs to Iceland cult that killed the boys.

“One locally-made double-barrelled gun with four live unexpended cartridges, 20 wraps of marijuana, large quantity of Indian hemp wrappers/paper, five roll bond used for cocaine, five lighters, two cutlasses and one black motorcycle were recovered from them.”

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) says its helicopter crashed in the process of landing while returning from an anti-banditry combat mission in the Northwest Theatre under Operation HADARAN DAJI.

A statement on Wednesday in Abuja by NAF’s spokesman, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, said that details of the cause of the incident, which occurred at the Katsina Airport at about 3.30pm, were still scanty.

“However, there was no loss of life, either of persons on board the helicopter or on the ground,” he said.

Daramola said that the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, immediately directed the constitution of a Board of Inquiry to determine the exact cause of the incident.

“NAF continues to solicit the understanding and support of the general public as it daily strives to ensure the security of Nigeria and Nigerians,” he said.

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) says its registration portal for the 2019 Batch ‘B’ Stream ‘II’ mobilization exercise will be officially open for prospective corps members (PCMs) from June 19.

In a statement released on the scheme’s social media account on Tuesday, the NYSC also informed the 2019 Batch ‘B’ Stream ‘I’ PCMs that they will no longer have access to the portal as their registration comes to an end on June 12.

“This is to inform 2019 Batch ‘B’ Stream I PCMs that Online Registration ends tomorrow 12th June, 2019. The portal will be open for Stream II on Wednesday 19th June, 2019,” it said via its official Twitter account.

The scheme had in March commenced registration for the 2019 Batch ‘A’ mobilization exercise while that of Batch ‘B’ stream ‘I’ was opened on June 1.

The NYSC had earlier announced that the portal will also be accessible to part-time graduates, adding that exclusion and call-up letters will be available on the platform.

“The portal is also open for part-time graduates, register online so as to be able to print your Exclusion Letter on your dashboard when PCMs are enabled to print their Call-up Letters,” the scheme wrote.
