Politics / Re: 11 Presidential Candidates..apc AND PDP Not A Do Or Die Affair by gifttracy(f): 7:03am On May 12, 2015 |
mziceberry: What beat me is the fact that while having 11 presidential candidate, *rational nigerians stil decide to choose between two failed individuals..Before uu castigate me, ask urself Why Them..Why not the rest..why keep dashing our vote out to people we know are giving us LIPSERVICE..mere words and promises The media keep fooling us that our choice lies between a Large River(Buhari and an enormous mountain(Jonathan) APC and PDP has nothing new to offer us..haven't you thought of the fact there is a corrupt motive behind bringing a man in his senile days as the Presidential candidate even while APC has a better suited candidate like the likes of Fashola and the rest You might be thinking who would I vote for if not BUhari or Jonathan why not Professor OluRemi SOnaiya Majority of Nigerians will be like no no no, a woman can't be the president of this country and I ask myself why not..this is not because am a female as many will points out. not even close! please let us open our eyes the male folks have failed us with their cluelessness and ineptitudes..a change wouldn't happen without a change in our mindset Some northerners and some other group of people might not want to hear of a Female leader cause of certain norms or traditions ..But brother I tell you that's a shallow way of thinking, this is not the time to start discriminating this is the time to take control of our future..Ruling has nothing to do with gender,it lies on people's Compassion, capabilities and focus which so far isn't evident in our President and his counterparts SHE is not a better candidate you may say..but where is the better candidate..is it Jonathan with his transformation agenda..this man already wasted our six years without transforming anything only if you will count the outdated railway system..tell me how many people think of going out to work via Train..the era of Train Transportation is gone, this is the 21st century for crying out loud except you are seeking adventure Or Buhari who want to change Nigeria in six months..is that even possible..Nigeria is not Fairytopia where you wave your magic wand and everything disappears...let's be realistic..we need a change but not from the same network of corrupt old men Professor Remi Sonaiya is the only one capable of bringing it for us..she has what it takes, she is not sugarcoating anything Nigeria is like a dilapidated building it needs reconstruction and its not going to happen just by mere wishing,it takes steps from disciplined individuals Don't vote because majority are voting for Buhari and Jonathan, vote because you want a better nigeria. And these two people no matter how sweet dey'vd package their propanganda..they can't reconstruct Nigeria Prof. Remi is a professor of French and Applied Linguistics and a former lecturer at the Obafemi Awolowo University..in 2008, she was named international ambassador scientist of the alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the first nigerian to be appointed in the position she occupied btw 2008 sand 2014..until recently, she was the National Public Relations Officer of her party..like she said she is running' based on the conviction that somebody need to do this, somebody ordinary, a true representative of the people for the betterment of Nigeria which she is'..she has shown it all by her courage, she can do it only if we let her! Many people would stil say a man is the Head, even the Holy Books confirmed it..Yes, a man is the head and would always be,but where are the men,is it Jonathan who cannot control even his own uncultured wife with her uncultured rants, stepping on people's toes, bringing disgrace to the Nigerian Society..He is a failed man and Buhari?? Only sentiments would make one vote 4 him..what are his achievements?? Have uu seen any school built in his name?? Have uu seen him use his popularity to canvass for any charitable work or any humanitarian effort, not even at the height of Polio Scourge where other purposeful and prominent leaders lead the campaign for immunization No book written,no memoirs,no lectures,NOTHIN G.,this guy has not improve himself ever since leaving office..The only thing we can point to are his numerous interviews on the BBC Hausa Station and the only time any known form, body or human assemblage ever chose him to do anything for them was when the Boko Haram terrorist Sect nominated him as their spokesperson in the Proposed talks with the Federal Govt. I beseech..let's wake up and vote for someone bside these two, someone worthy and focused, even in the bible DEBORAH led the israelites into victory,Prof Remi can do it, Better than these two. To the females, please the era of CheerLeading is over, this woman can do it,support her with your votes..Secure your generations future. To the males, please this is not about being superior, this is not about taking your right from You,Have a rethink, Buhari and Jonathan can't bring about the needed change Even if it mean Standing alone and voting for her, Please let's do it OBISANYA OBASHOLA ELIZABETH

Romance / Re: Compromise: Where Do We Draw The Line by gifttracy(f): 10:20pm On May 07, 2015 |
hello goodevening add me to the camapigngroup.08030848527 kinglekan:
For anyone seeking a serious relationship, the major goal is to find that "Special Someone" who completes you. That person who brings out the best in you, one who complements you like a missing piece of a jigsaw puzzle, one who accepts you and isn't overly critical of you.
In such healthy relationships, both partners can freely express themselves and also meet each others needs. Although I have found out that most relationships are often self centered, where a partner demands that the other change in a deep and meaningful way to meet their own needs or their acceptable standards.
Yess!!! little compromises are natural and essential ingredients in any serious relationship, but how do we draw that thin line so as not to give up too much of what is really important to us for the sake of a relationship that should rather affirm who you already are?
So let's assume you found someone you truly call special and they had to make certain compromises just because you stated them as your ground rules.
These things your partner had to let go off are not necessarily bad, but they are just simple issues that have formed the major part of your decision to take the relationship to the next level.
So you get married after years of courtship and a day after your wedding, your partner opens up. He/She let's you know how hard it has been compromising and they drop the bomb "You would have to accept me for who I really am to make this union work"
What do you do? Do you jump ship or rather set sail with your partner for what might turn out to be a very stormy voyage, hoping you wouldn't encounter ice bergs just like the titanic.
Let's discuss within context

Politics / Re: Girls Rescued From Boko Haram- PREGNANT! by gifttracy(f): 10:14pm On May 07, 2015 |
Lala247: This is so so sad
At least upto 214 young girls and women after being rescued from nigeria's terrorist group where found pregnant! Amongst resuced where children and mothers too ..women Living in harsh conditions as sex slaves ( raping them 15 times a day, one of the victims that escaped has said.)
Osotimehin, while giving update of the response to the rehabilitation of the rescued women and children, said the organization, in anticipation of the magnitude of the problem on hand, had put in place a formidable team in collaboration with the Federal and state governments, to first restore the dignity of the girls, who, he said, are facing severe psychosocial trauma.
“UNFPA is providing dignity for women. In conflict and disasters, most people would only think of water and sanitation, provision of tents and housing, and food, which are all important. But women and girls have specific needs that nobody else looks after; it is only UNFPA that is doing this. We are giving psychosocial counselling.
Beyond that, in the growing young people, we will always have pregnant women, but nobody segregates the needs of the pregnant women which are very important and different from the needs of the average community. We look after them, and ensure they get antenatal care and that they deliver properly and that they even get Caesarean Section when necessary.
Our leaders n people in power should do something about this !!

Romance / Re: How Far Can She Push You? by gifttracy(f): 10:04pm On May 07, 2015 |
Twaci: Okay, this just happened in St. Michaels, Aba. I was just jejely on my own, asking the phone-engineer why on earth he charged N7500 for my phone (na just screen probelm fa!), when a very beautiful young girl ran out from a building close to the one I was in and started calling for Keke. I didn't really pay her any attention until a guy ran out from the same building calling her name.
He walked close to her and started pleading with her in Igbo, asking her to come back with him. She told him to let her be but then he held her arm and continued begging. Next thing we knew, she slapped him and pulled her arm from his grip.
Now the guys around me (including the yeye theif of a phone-eng.) shouted and started ranting about how stupid the girl was and how if it was them in the guy's situation, they would have beaten the babe black and blue.
But then the guy held her close and kissed her. I could feel the aura of shock around me. The babe started crying, broke away from the kiss and allowed the guy take her back inside.
I almost started clapping but then the awareness of the haters around me stopped me. So I decided to bring this here.
If u were in the guy's shoes, what would u do? If your babe hits u (in public or private) would u hit her back? How far can she push u to get that reaction?
Opinions pls.
fink i wanna support u.how do i join ur campaign group cos d are doin a good job |
