Politics / Will There Ever Be A Revolution In Nigeria? by ginuwine: 10:13am On Sep 23, 2013
This topic is not in any way intended to insult anybody or a group of person,
but to understand that d above may be jst a pipe dream for us nigerians, going
by the way the country is been run by the '' ogas @ d top''.
Often times, i've seen on dis forum ppl wishing for a revolution in dis country.
personally, i think it will ''never'' happen, for the following reasons i shall put fort.

1. [b]COMPLEXITY OF THE NIGERIAN NATION:
Nigeria as a country is a multi-cultural & ethnic entity. Within a region, we may
have a pletora of mother tongues. One thing i've come to understand, d language
is/can be a determining factor in the revolt process.

2. TRUST:
do nigerians trust themselves enough to tell themselves their inner thought,
with no attendant fear of sell-out by other?

3. THE FEEL GOOD FACTOR:
For an average nigerian who is comfortable, he wldn't want anytin to disrupt that
comfort. This brings up the question " if all of u wishing for a revolution, where given
an office where u get to make 5k daily, wld u still want a revolution?

NB: all of dis are entirely my personal thought. ur views as well as criticism are welcome.

Family / Re: Names Given To Children In Nigeria Lately by ginuwine: 1:34pm On Jan 14, 2013
in Edo dialect/language, the phrase 'the lord answer me' is OSAHENRUMWEN, 'it is well' in Esan dialect/language is OFURE. why give names dat wld make d child feel embarrassed, remember the child is suppose to be proud of u and nothing less.

Religion / Re: Is Speaking In Tongue Learnt Or Received? by ginuwine: 1:25pm On Oct 08, 2012
the real reason the holy spirit blessed the early disciples with speaking in tongues, was cos they wld need it in spreading the Good news. The mumble jumble we hear this days is just not it (imo). Not speaking in tongues doesn't make u less a child of God. besides i guess as christians we shld focus on attitudes dat will take us to heaven and forget about showboating, for that is what we have dis days among d christian folks. may God help us.
