The Police in Ogun State have discovered the decomposing remains of a farm worker, who was allegedly murdered by his boss, over allegation of stealing.

The family of Isamaila Mukaila had called on the Police to carry out a thorough investigation into the alleged murder.

The Nation gathered that the boy was murdered on August 11 in a farm along Adejunrin road Owode Egba area of Abeokuta in Ogun state and his remains kept in sitting position on a branch of a mango tree within the farm.

The boy, who is said to be a farm worker, was allegedly killed by one Adekoya believed to be owner of Offshore Agro Limited situated along Adejunrin Road, Owode Egba

A member of the deceased’s family that craved anonymity, alleged that the owner of the farm lured Isamaila to see him at the farm on Sunday 11 August 2019.

He alleged the boy did not return home and after a search was carried out, his decomposing body was found on the 15 August on top of a mango tree in the farm.

It was learnt that the bicycle the boy rode to the farm before his mysterious death, was also found at the entrance to the farm.

The Police Public Relations Office of the Ogun State police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident, saying the matter is being investigated.

He admitted that some suspects have also been arrested in connection with the alleged murder.

The killing of a Nigerian Pastor by Chinese security operatives has led to calls for a probe by the Nigerian Government.

The Chairman of Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa confirmed the 'murder' of Pastor Joseph Nwajueze and further stated that culpable Chinese security operatives must be punished.

Condoling the family of the Anambra-born cleric, Abike revealed that the deceased was allegedly killed by security operatives while trying to escape arrest for alleged visa violations. Nwajueze was living with his wife, Chinwe and four children in China at the time of the incident.

Also condemning the alleged stigmatization of Nigerians living in China, the NIDCOM boss appealed to angry Nigerians in the country to be patient and not take laws into their hands as the Federal government will ensure that justice is served.

The Chairman, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Dr Ibrahim Kana, has said the number of Nigerian pilgrims who have died while performing the 2019 Hajj in Saudi Arabia has risen to nine.

Kana disclosed this in Muna on Monday while briefing journalists on the activities of the medical team of NAHCON for the pilgrims.

Kana said, “The deceased, a Lagos State pilgrim, collapsed at Jamrat and was brought to hospital in Muna but died, she was hypertensive.”

Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria in Muna, Kana said the leader of the Lagos State team in Saudi for the Hajj, Alhaji AbdulLateef Abdulkarim, had identified the deceased as Alhaja Folashade Lawal.

He said the deceased hailed from Oshodi Local Government Area of the state, saying she slumped at 3am while heading for Jamrat to throw stones at the devil.

Throwing stones at the ‘devil’ is one of the Islamic rites towards an acceptable Hajj.


Kana said NAHCON opened 21 field offices in Muna with adequate drugs and ambulances.

A NAN correspondent, who visited the Nigerian camp in Muna, reported that many pilgrims, mostly women, were seen buying women’s wear and other gift items they claimed were meant for their families and friends at home.

The pilgrims, who will spend three days to accomplish religious rites in Muna, are expected to move to the Grand Mosque, Makkah on Tuesday to complete the remaining rites to ensure an acceptable hajj.

General Officer Commanding, 7 Division, Nigerian Army, Maiduguri, Bulama Biu, on Monday rocked the dance floor with wounded troops in the hospital to celebrate Eid-el-kabir with them

Mr Biu, a major general, took to the dance floor after the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, represented by the Chief of Training and Operations, Enobong Udoh, and other senior officers served the troops with sallah meal.

He said the army authorities decided to celebrate the 2019 Eid-el-Kabir with both the troops in the theatre of operations and those in the hospital in order to encourage them to recuperate fast.

The GOC said the division had on Sunday feasted with the troops at the battle field at the Mulei super camp.

He said the celebration was primarily to encourage the officers that were for one reason or the other not completely on their feet but recuperating fast at the 7 Division Medical Services and Hospital, Maiduguri.

We intend to come and join them here so that we conduct this celebration here together.

“I want to assure that our presence here is to encourage you, motivate you and for you to believe in yourself that your contributions today are well acknowledged,” he said.

Mr Biu commended the chief of army staff for what he described as motivational leadership and concern for troops welfare, adding that Mr Buratai had led by example.

“His drive for professionalism, his unwavering commitment to the successful prosecution of the war against Boko Haram terrorism.

“The chief of army staff has remained committed that his desire for peace, security and total restoration of the dignity of the people of the Northeast and indeed Nigeria at large is realised very quickly,” he said.

Mr Albert Andinam, Chairman, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Cross River Chapter, said on Monday that 30 years after the demise of the football legend, Samuel Okwaraji, the nation still mourned him.

Andinam, who made the disclosure in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Calabar, said Okwaraji died for his fatherland.

He called for better medical attention for the nations sportsmen adding that the medical teams and team managers should be up and doing to avoid fielding players that had any form of medical challenge.

According to him, Nigerians will not have suffered such a monumental loss which they still remember if Okwaraji was properly and medically certified fit to play the match in which he slumped.

He opined that the right people should be put in sports administration in the nation adding that the families of late sports heroes were not treated fairly.

This, he said, should be corrected.

“Okwaraji exhibited selfless service and sacrifice which many of our sportsmen today are still exhibiting but these sportsmen need to be encouraged.

“Nigeria has been battered at all fronts but whenever their is a football match, every facet becomes united and when we lose, the disappointment spreads across.

“President Mohamadu Buhari should ensure that square pegs are put in square holes by giving the Minister of Sports to someone who is interested and seen to be contributing to sports development in the nation,” he said.


Okwaraji: 30 Unforgettable Years Down the Line
Similarly, a Senior Correspondent of the Sun Newspapers in Calabar, Mr Jude Okoro, said Nigeria ran a system where many people who had served the nation meritoriously were not recognised.

Okoro said the nation has not learnt any lesson from the death of Okwaraji and many other fallen heroes in trying to reform the sports sector and make it more productive.

He said Nigerian Sportsmen no longer had the spirit of selflessness and sacrifice because they knew that if something happened to them in active service nothing would be done for their families.

“The story has not changed after 30 years; we saw how Stephen Keshi died and Samson Siasia’s mother was abducted and up till now no one is talking about them.

“Things like these have made our sportsmen to over commercialise sports.

“They simply say if you need us, you pay but if you don’t need us, allow us to go play for other nations,” he said.

He added that attitudinal change was required in the nation and the Nigerian leadership must imbibe the culture of a reward system for those who had served the country diligently.

NAN reports that Samuel Okwaraji was a Nigerian footballer and doctorate degree student of law from the University of Rome before his death.

Born on May 19, 1964, Okwaraji slumped during a World Cup qualifying match in Lagos between Nigeria and Angola on Aug. 12, 1989 and later died in the hospital.

A 49-year old man, Oyewale Ogunleye, reportedly stripped himself naked at the Police Station in Lagos in order to use his dick to pacify a female Police officer, Sergeant Blessing Familokun, who he had offended.

Source reports that the incident happened at Alakuko Police Division where the female officer, Sgt. Blessing Familokun, is attached as an officer.

It was gathered that Ogunleye had an altercation with the officer, Blessing, at Ajegunle Bus Stop in the area to the extent that he reportedly assaulted her and he was taken to the Police Station for the alleged offence.

At the station, Ogunleye was said to have pleaded with Blessing to forgive him but she insisted that he had committed a serious criminal offence by assaulting a Police officer on duty and he was liable for prosecution.

At that point, the suspect, Ogunleye, was said to have removed his trouser, stripped naked and brought out his dick to show Blessing in order to pacify her over the matter.

However, the Divisional Police Officer did not take his action lightly and he directed that Ogunleye should be charged to Court for such conduct.
He was later charged before the Ogba Magistrates for assault and stripping naked before the female officer, Blessing at the station.
He pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor did not object to his being granted bail. Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A Akinde, granted him bail in the sum N50,000 with one surety in like sum.

He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions. The matter was then adjourned till 19th August, 2019.

The Police in Lagos have arrested a 30-year man, who reportedly specialised in engaging and impregnating mad ladies on the streets, after he allegedly took a pregnant mad woman into an uncompleted building to have sex.

The suspect, Laminu Alli, was apprehended by the Lagos residents after he was reportedly caught inside the uncompleted building, where he went to have sex with victim simply identified as Christiana.

The incident happened at Isheri Olofin along Igando-LASU Expressway to Iyana Iba area of Lagos.

Correspondent gathered that it was not the first the suspect, Alli, had reportedly been caught with mad women inside uncompleted building but the residents decided to confirm their suspicion over a period of time.
Alli was said to have taken the mad victim, Christiana, into the building and pulled his trouser in order to penetrate her before he was caught and accused of armed robbery.

However, he denied being an armed robber but only took the victim into the building in order to have sex with her despite the fact that the victim was pregnant and not mentally balanced.

He was handed over to the Police at Idimu Division. After interrogation, the Police found him culpable and later arraigned him before the Ejigbo Magistrates Court for attempting to rape a mad woman by force with the knife found on him.

He pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Supol Kenneth Asibor, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove the matter.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. T.O Shomade, granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.

He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail. The matter was adjourned till 12th August, 2019.

Popular cross dresser, Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky, has distanced himself from a suspect in Rivers State, also nicknamed Bobrisky, who is wanted for alleged notorious crimes.

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, had declared the criminal wanted, placing a N30 million bounty on his head.

Nyesom urged anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the wanted Bobrisky, who is from the Gokana Local Government Area in the state, to come forward.

The governor expressed regret over cultists’ takeover of youth groups across the state while calling for information about the killers of a director with the state government, who was killed during the Choba community crisis.

Okuneye, in a post on his official Instagram page, however, stressed that he was not the one who was declared wanted.

The cross-dresser said he had been a woman for two years, adding that his self-proclaimed womanhood had saved him from being apprehended as a suspect.

He said, “So, a notorious criminal in Rivers state is bearing my stage name, Bobrisky. Thank God I have turned to a woman before the useless criminal committed the crimes. If not, I would have become a suspect by now.

“And why are bloggers placing my picture together with Governor Nyesom Wike’s. Please, it is not my Bobrisky he is looking for o. I have turned to a woman since two years ago.”
