Ifu Ennada pleaded for redemption as she narrated a scenario that played out in her head after she saw a 'shirtless hot guy' from her balcony.

The reality show star revealed that she suffered a variety of abuse in the hands of relatives, a former employer, people she trusted and also grew up in an environment where men beat their wives for no reason just to prove a point. All these took a toll on her and left thinking that men were monsters while growing up.

Ifu Ennada also revealed that sometimes she imagines herself having kids through a surrogate just so she won't disrupt her life and future with the problems that come with being in a relationship with a man.

She wrote;

My people I think I legit need redemption. So this just happened - From my balcony I saw a shirtless hot guy and went "oh my goodness, this guy is sweet..." I started thinking of the things that could be, but in that same breath I quickly said "abeg nothing dey there jare, dis one go be like the rest."

When I went back inside I reflected on my actions and just marveled at how far I've come in blocking men out of my life. Do you know that sometimes I imagine myself having kids through a surrogate just so that I don't disrupt my life and future with the problems that come with being in a relationship with a man?

But can anyone really blame me? I grew to watching and hearing countless news of 72 year old men raping 3yrs old girls and getting away with it. Sadly, this is still a norm in my country. I grew up in an environment where men beat their wives for no reason just to prove a point - I still can't tell what the point is. I have suffered a variety of abuse in the hands of relatives, a former employer and even people I trusted. As a young child everywhere I looked, the society made it seem like only men had the power to make wealth and even the women didn't help... So how can anyone even blame me for the way that I am? --

Growing up I felt men were monsters, it also didn't help that the government was/is run by mostly men who have eveything but good thoughts for Nigeria, so I was a very f*cked up kid even though I was/am a bright Star. I was a Rebel. --

The Kaduna State Police Command on Wednesday paraded 79 suspected kidnappers, armed bandits and other criminals suspects at Rijana, along Kaduna-Abuja highway.

Commissioner of Police, Ali Aji Janga who paraded the suspects before newsmen said, 35 guns and 439 cattle were recovered from the suspects.

The CP said, all the suspects were arrested from different locations within the state in July.

According to CP Janga, “the gallant determination of our crack operatives such as SARS, AKU, IRT, and other units have again recorded some successes with the apprehension of 79 suspects for various crimes which include.

“Criminal Conspiracy, Armed Robbery, Kidnapping, Cattle Rustling, Culpable Homicide, Shop Breaking and Theft, Impersonation and Receiving Stolen Property.

“Pursuant to our collective resolve, high sense of commitment and relentless determination, the Command has sustained a serious manhunt on bandits and other perpetrators of crime within the State with a view to arresting and bringing them to book.

“I am also glad to inform the general public that, we are currently reviewing our structural deployment along Kaduna-Abuja Road, Kaduna-Zaria Road and Kaduna-Birnin Gwari Road with a view to make the highways more safer for commuters while the efforts to rid the Command off banditry and other violent crimes continue.” He said

The Police boss also disclosed that exhibits recovered include, nine Ak47 Rifle, one Unserviceable LAR Rifle and 11 Locally Made Rifles and Pistols.

“Also one Pump Action, three Dane guns, 954 Rounds of Live Ammunition of different Calibre and 24 Live Cartridges, one knife, one hacksaw, the sum N30,000, two handsets, one face mask, two pair of canvass, four and half (41/2) Bundle of Brocade (Shadda) Materials and eleven Caps.

“We also recovered one KIA Serato Motor Vehicle with Reg. No TT 547 AA Black in colour, one Toyota Corolla S Ash in colour with Reg. No. GWA 872 FM, one unregistered Mercedes Benz C350 Ash in colour.

“439 Cattles,18 Sheep, eight Donkeys, one tricycle with Reg. No. MKA 248 WY, six motorcycles, eight Plasma Television, one HP Laptop, One Tiger Generator and four cutlasses were also recovered.

“I am calling on the good people of Kaduna state to feel free and go about their normal businesses as the Command has appreciably reduced the rate of crime within the state.

“I remain grateful to the media for being our window and supportive in the fight against criminality in State.” He said.

The CP also commend the gallant efforts of officers and men of the Command for their selfless determination and professional manner in the handling of the violent protests by members of the proscribed IMN in the Command.

Two women, Blessing Asugwa and Joy Ogbu, who allegedly defrauded a housewife of N21 million, were on Wednesday brought before an Ebute-Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.

Asugwa, 23, and Ogbu, 24, were arraigned by the police on a three-count charge of obtaining under false pretence, fraud and theft.

Prosecuting Inspector Oladele Adebayo alleged that the defendants committed the offences between 2015 and 2017 at the Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos.

The court heard that the defendants collected N21m from the complainant, Mrs Amaka Joel, with a promise to help her invest in a business but failed to do so.

They allegedly failed to return the money.

The prosecutor said the offences contravened sections 287, 314 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

Asugwa and Ogbu pleaded not guilty.

Chief Magistrate O.O. Olatunji granted each defendant N5 million bail with two sureties in the like sum, among other conditions.

The case continues on September 3.

Barely 25 minutes after a gang of unknown gunmen ambushed and murdered Reverend Father Paul Offu, on Thursday, August 1, 2019, in Enugu State, his bank account was emptied by an unidentified person, DailyTrust is reporting.

According to a source working in the bank where the late cleric operated an account, the person was said to have made frantic and frequent withdrawals until the last money was withdrawn. .

The source informed Daily Trust that considering the time of Offu’s murder and when the withdrawal was made, “it makes one to wonder how fast the killers (assuming they actually made the withdrawal) were able to rush to the bank and withdrew all the cash,” asking rather angrily: “Who was, indeed, responsible for disclosing the pin number of the priest ATM?” .

The source, who argued that, while she was not holding brief for those that killed the priest, “there was need for the security operatives to look inward and ascertain who actually did the withdrawals shortly after he was killed.” .

Before his death, Fr Offu was the Parish priest of St James the Greater Parish, Ugbowka. The State police spokesman, SP Ebere Amaraizu has said that the police will fish out his killers.

Belgian professional cyclist, Bjorg Lambrecht has died after crashing during the third stage of the Tour of Poland.

The young cyclist died on Monday, August 5, 2019, at the age of 22.

Lambrecht went down in a crash near the town of Zory during heavy rainfall and struck a culvert. He was immediately treated by the race’s medical staff, and required emergency resuscitation.

The Belgian rider crashed into a concrete culvert around 60 miles from the finish line of the third stage from Chorzow to Zabrze during heavy rainfall.

According to The Sun, he was immediately treated on the scene then taken to a nearby hospital in Rybnik by ambulance, but died during surgery.

“We tried to give a heart massage just afterwards, then we called for a helicopter but his condition was so serious it wasn’t able to transport him,” race doctor Ryszard Wisniewski said. Lambrecht was taken to a hospital in an ambulance, where he did not survive emergency surgery.

Lambrecht was regarded as one of Belgium's most promising riders and in 2017, won the Under-23 version of the prestigious Liege-Bastogne-Liege race.

He also won the Best Young Rider competition at the Criterium de Dauphine in June.

Alibaba served an 'Inspiration' Monday post while recounting how far he has come and also narrating how he got disowned by his father.

The ace comedian said his father disowned him after he started doing stand-up comedy in 1988, because he never saw a future in what he took up as a career. Alibaba also disclosed that he got discouraged by people who thought the ladder to success was exclusively by climbing as a Doctor, Lawyer, Engineer, Banker, Architect, Accountant and Civil Servant.


He wrote;

In 1988, when I started doing stand up comedy, there many told me that much. My father disowned me. His reason? He could not see any future in what I did.

Many people are limited by history of things and what they already know. Those who create the future get triggered by things that can be seen in the future.

How futuristic are your dreams? What is it that needs to be developed? Who will benefit from it? What are the things that will make it happen?

I look back now and think about how many people tried to discourage me. Those who thought the ladder to success, was exclusively by climbing as a Doctor, Lawyer, Engineer, Banker, Architect, Accountant, Civil Servant...

Today, there are comedians who are worth 3 billion (more or less) in assets and liquid cash. There are comedians, whose social impact and economic value, has empowered many who are in those core walks of life mentioned above.

The housemates will now play in their groups. Big Brother will provide games and task which they will have to participate in including their wager. Also they will have to participate in the VETO Power challenge. Big Brother has not explained the dynamics surrounding the VETO card.

We will have to wait till Sunday to know what Team will be up for eviction.

An aggrieved Nigerian man took to Twitter to call out his friend for allegedly duping his junior colleague of N650k.

@AdannaPapa alleged that the man who relocated to Canada after carrying out the fraudulent act, pushed him into introducing and convincing his junior colleague to start a relationship with him which he (fraudster) claimed the endgame was marriage. He tweeted;

The Police in Enugu State have arrested a 200 level student at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Asogwa Nnamdi, for alleged murder of a 400 level student at the same institution, Chukwudi Mba.

Nnamdi reportedly stabbed Mba to death during an argument over the payment of an electricity bill issued to their lodge.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Ebere Amaraizu, said in a statement on Friday that the Command had arrested the suspect and had also commenced investigation into the incident.

He, however, said the Police had yet to establish the circumstances surrounding the murder, which happened on Wednesday.

He said, “The Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has commenced a full-scale investigation into the alleged murder of a 400 level student of Public Administration of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, by a co-student in 200 level.

“On that day, the suspect, later identified as one Asogwa Nnamdi, alias Tiny, of about 23 years old, a 200 level student at UNN, stabbed one Chukwudi Mba to death with a knife at their lodge, Alfred’s Lodge, Nsukka, over a yet-to-be established issue.

“The suspect stabbed the deceased Mba in the back. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was later confirmed dead. The suspect has been arrested and is already helping with Police investigation.”

Amaraizu stated that the state Commissioner of Police, Suleiman Balarabe, had called for thorough investigation into the cause of the incident, adding that the body of the deceased had been deposited in a mortuary.

The veteran actress also expressed her disgust to a video of Senator Elisha who recently bagged an Icon award allegedly defending and trying to justify the assault. Stella Damasus wondered if the Senator representing Adamama North Senatorial district has been let off the hook even with a video evidence, and further stated that it will be shameful if Nigeria tolerates and accept it.

Nigerian musician, Burna Boy, has hinted that he would love to raise a child with UK rapper, Stefflon Don without attracting public attention.

In a recent interview on a radio show, Beats1, on Hot 97 FM in the United States of America. Burna Boy expressed his feelings for the British rapper and singer and how he hopes to raise the kid(s) they will have together.

Burna Boy also stressed that their relationship isn’t a publicity stunt and it means so much to both of them.

He said, “It’s not the business part of us, it’s our life. I’m trying to make it right because I don’t want to bring no kid into this life and everyone is disturbing the kid and looking or wondering what’s Steflon Don and Burna Boy’s kid doing. I want to raise a kid the way I was raised.”

“It’s lovely (being with Stefflon Don) I don’t know how to explain it. It’s just that I try to now kind of like keep it between us. I don’t want to be putting our thing out there in front of everybody anymore. Like you’d be there and you can see it but I don’t want to put it out there for everyone”.

On his reign as one of the biggest exports from Nigeria at the moment, Burna Boy says he feels as God prepared him for everything .

“I don’t know how to explain this but it’s like God won’t give you more than you can handle. So, for me, I feel it’s all being like preparation, there’s never a right time, it’s only a divine time. I don’t know but it’s as if all the years have prepared me for all that is happening at the moment.

I fell if I had just come through and all these are happening, I won’t know how to navigate myself through things but now, it’s like learning so many things and growing so much and experiencing so much, you know good and bad, kind of prepared me for everything”.
