Pretty Dr. Patience Tsavnande is one of the casualties recorded in the Benue Links fatal accident that occured yesterday September 15th. Patience was among the passengers in the 18-seater commercial bus that had a headon collission with a trailer in Angwan chiyawa, along Akwanga-Lafia road yesterday. Only one woman survived the accident.

May her soul rest in peace, Amen. Her friends have taken to social media to mourn her.

A lady was, last week, beaten to within an inch of her life by her boyfriend, over suspicion of infidelity. According to reports, the incident happened at Flat 266, Tosam building, Jakande Estate, Lagos. .

The jobless boy was said to have instructed the victim to quit her job because he felt she’s dating her supervisor. The lady’s refusal angered him and he decided to assault her.

A man has committed suicide by hanging on a tree, overnight, in Umuoba Uratta, Imo state.

His dead body was discovered this morning. It was gathered that the deceased, a laborer, took the drastic action over his inability to pay the sum of N90k medical bills.

His wife was said to have been delivered of a baby on Friday and he was expected to clear the bills incurred

The South African embassy in Lagos has been forced to temporarily shut its doors. It joins local businesses in Nigeria, MTN and Shoprite, which have come under attack.

The acting High Commissioner, Amb. Bobby Moroe explained that the reported attacks on South Africans in parts of the country informed the decision to close down the Mission.

He stated, “I directed that the Mission should be closed until the situation improves. We heard that South Africans were being pulled out of vehicles and attacked. We feel unsafe and that is why I directed that the mission should close down until further notice.”

Recall that hundreds of Zambian students dressed mostly in black and chanting 'No Violence', protested and burnt down the signpost of South African Embassy in Lusaka in response to ongoing xenophobic attacks on Nigerians and other African migrants in South Africa.

A distraught Nigerian lady has narrated her ordeal in the hands of some hoodlums who attacked her during the anti-xenophobic protest which went sour in Lagos.

According to the lady, her car was not tinted and those that attacked them could clearly see they were everyday people like them. She further revealed that the first person to wield a stick in her direction was a woman, which was followed up with a vicious attack by the men.

She disclosed that blood trickling was trickling from her face, arms and leg after her car's front and rear screen was shattered by stones thrown at her by her attackers.

Nofisat Adetutu Ibrahim, a staff with an old generation bank in Akure, Ondo state, has been murdered by some suspected assassins. Ibrahim was killed on Wednesday, August 28, at the Oke Ogba area of Akure South local government area of the state around 7:30 pm.

It was gathered that late Nofisat was in charge of 'Point Of Sale' (POS) in the bank branch located in Oja Oba.
