As the presidential election gets closer, Nigeria students under the aegis of Tinubu/Shettima Students Vanguard set to unveil a massive students Vanguard across the country to ensure the All Progressive Congress Presidential and Vice Presidential candidate emerge in the forthcoming general election.

The students group has promised to ensure they add value to the already established campaign council of the party haven realised that there are thousands of polling booths across campuses in the country, they emphatically made it known that Tinubu/Shettima deserves students support in other to lead the country due to their contributions to the educational sector, both of them introduced free education in their state when they served as Governors.

They Students Vanguard also rejoice with Nigerian Students as they go back to their classes, the Group specially appreciate Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila the Speaker Federal House Of Representatives for his intervention on the issue of the prolonged ASUU strike.

According to the National Coordinator of the Group who is also the immediate past NANS President Comrade Asefon Sunday Dayo, he said the students Vanguard is ready to ensure the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidate of APC emerge come 2023, he also affirmed that all hands are on deck. The group is currently recruiting students independent volunteers across all polling units in the country, to serve as canvassers during the election, he submitted.

Sunday Asefon said that the mandate of the group will be to mobilise Nigerian students across the country, the students vanguard will sterm the influence of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other opposition parties ahead of the general election and the movement would as well deploy all machineries and everything possible to ensure that Tinubu wins the election, as he remains the candidate with the best chance of winning.

Speaking Further, the National Publicity Secretary Students Vanguard Comrade Giwa Murtala Omotola-Moore made it known that, the group will start with a Press conference at Ado Ekiti on Monday 17th of October then do the official unveiling on 26th of October at Federal Capital Territory.

A youth group under the aegis of the Asiwaju National Students Support Organization (ANSSO), has applauded the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), noting that the development will bring final hope for Nigerian students.

The group said that the victory of Tinubu remains a win for justice, equity, reserved character, competence and national unity at bay to the historical fact of being the only Governor who recruited Nigerians across all divides devoid of tribe, religion and geographical placement to serve under his administration as executive Governor of Lagos.

When Bola Ahmed Tinubu became Governor in 1999, he initiated and began the era of reform, rehabilitation, and rebuilding of the education sector in the state with the goal of making public schools, particularly at the primary level, appealing to the populace; he would go on to invest 1 billion Naira in Lagos State University in 2006, making him the only Governor to do so.

The Asiwaju National Students Support Organization (ANSSO), under the leadership of Comrade Giwa Murtala Omotola - Moore, has officially backed their idol's declaration to run for President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, in the 2023 General Elections, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja today.

ANSSO, has a National Executive Council (NEC), with a cross spread cut across the 6 geo political zones, zonal structures, state and ward co-ordinators, made up dedicated student leaders who believe in the Asiwaju dream, placing Nigeria on the league of Developed countries as he did to Lagos 14 years ago.

Senator Tokunbo Abiru joined the 9th National Assembly, Upper chamber on the 15th of December 2020 through the bye election that was conducted by Independent National Electoral Commission across all the 98 wards of the 16 Local council ares in the Lagos East Senatorial District after the demise of a patriotic leader cum unifier, the late Senator Bayo Osinowo, who was known for peace making, political stability and progress throughout his lifetime.

The financial assistance scheme expanded every month to accommodate more vulnerable people in the district, the programme kicked off in January, 2021 to fulfill the promise made by the people's Senator during the campaign period to provide succour to the poorest of the poor across the Senatorial District. The beneficiaries of the COVID-19 financial support include physically-challenged persons, unemployed youth, widows and other vulnerable people in the senatorial district.

Senator Tokunbo Abiru launches bursary scheme for indigent students and traders assistance scheme, immediately after the launch, he then setup advisory board for the programme, the day the programme was unveiled, he charged the bursary advisory board to be fair, transparent in the selection process of the beneficiaries. Senator Abiru is also very much concerned about the plight of constituents and other road users plying Ikorodu/Sagamu Road and Ikorodu/Itoikin/Epe Road, the distinguished Senator moved a motion calling on the Federal Government to urgently intervene on the two critical roads. In the motion titled, “Motion On The Urgent Need For The Rehabilitation Of The Ikorodu-Shagamu And Ikorodu-Itoikin- Epe Roads To Further Bridge The Infrastructure Gap And Enhance Economic Growth In Nigeria”.

He urged that the critical roads connecting the Ikorodu and other areas under the Lagos East Senatorial District to other parts of the country should be rehabilitated without any further delay. You will agree with me that the motion on the deplorable roads is a response to one of the major requests by Lagos East constituents in the NEEDS ASSESMENT that was conducted by Abiru during the electioneering last year.

Senator Abiru facilitated four blocks of 24 classrooms to Aga Primary School in Ikorodu. The construction is currently underway about to be completed. The four blocks have six classrooms each and 16 toilets. Senator Abiru also donated 150,000 facemasks to Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, LASUBUB for onward distribution to school pupils in the district, its indeed a clear demonstration of love and solidarity for primary pupils in the Lagos East District.

He facilitated a N30,000 Federal Government Survival Fund for 370 transporters and artisans in our district. Similarly, under the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, he as well facilitated disbursements of N20,000 to 100 rural women across the Lagos East Senatorial district in February. The disbursement exercise was held at Police College Ground, Ikeja Lagos.
