Tecno Mobile, manufacturers of mobile devices, has shifted its market positioning with the introduction of Boom J7. Known as music box, it is the first in a series of mobile devices that the company is set to roll out before the year closes.

At the recent launch in Lagos, the Marketing Director, Techno Mobile, Vane Ni, said the innovation was to satisfy the cravings of Nigerians who are music lovers.

He said, “Nigerians love music, especially those between the ages 15 and 35.

The fact that Nigerians love music is well established but not fully exploited.

“It therefore takes an innovative market penetration strategy to develop the right product that meets market expectation on quality music delivered from the next generation of smart entertainment mobile devices.

According to Tecno, the Boom J7 is a smartphone with all the functions of a premium mobile device but brings more to the table with noise cancellation technology.

This is interesting. Animals have a really good way of adapting to their habitat. These goats don't have any form of fear for heights anymore, but one would be curious to think "What do they eat?" seeing as mountains aren't a regular breeding ground for plants or grasses that are a delicacy to Goats.

Amaechi stole billions of rivers state money. Workers in rivers state are being owed various degree of salaries and nobody is saying anything. Osun state is not the only state owing workers,I wonder why osun state is the Center of attraction in this salary issue. All governors owing workers are supposed to be in jail, had it been Nigeria is a sane society.

Any solution that doesn't start with impeaching the Aregbe dude is a waste of time.

When they were dancing Shoki, sold their future for cups of rice and voted on.sentiment instead of substance, they never imagined it could get this.

Must you bring hate speech into everything? Why shouldn't Muslims help Muslims? Even if they will extend to people of other faiths it should be after they have satisfied their own people. That should be the benefit of belonging to that group.

PoliticsOsun: Varsity Mosque Aids Unpaid Muslim Workers by Giyerte(op): 6:49am On Jun 22, 2015
The Obafemi Awolowo University Central Mosque has asked teachers and civil servants in Osun State, who are Muslims to proceed to the mosque for assistance.

The Chief Imam of the mosque, Prof. Abubakar Sanusi, made the announcement after the weekly Jumaat prayer at the university mosque.

According to him, the move is necessitated by the current economic hardship faced by workers in the state.

He further appealed to the fasting Muslims to pray for God’s intervention in the issue of unpaid salaries in the state.

He said, “This is to inform public school teachers and civil servants that the mosque will be offering assistance to them. We realise that you have not been paid for so long. As part of our concerns, we will be providing assistance to you. All you need to do is to submit your name, phone number, your school and the name of your school principal.”

Meanwhile, the Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders has blamed the challenge of unpaid salaries on misplacement of priority by the state government.

The Executive Chairman of CACOL, Debo Adeniran, in a statement on Saturday, faulted the state government for not carrying workers’ union along in the execution of its capital projects despite its dwindling allocation from the Federation Account.

He said, “As things stand now in Osun State, what needs to be done is for the labour unions to sit down with the governor and fashion out the most appropriate and acceptable means of resolving the crisis rocking the state. If Osun people think that the governor’s projects and programmes are not in tandem with what their expectations, they should speak out.

“Our coalition is however against the removal of the one-meal-a-day for the primary school pupils in the state because many of the pupils that are not performing well academically are discovered to be lacking in adequate nutritious food.

“We would rather advise that the government, in order to reduce cost, should look into the direction of the elitist projects e.g. the International Airport and roads. Government should also look into the area of agriculture and get most of the civil servants engaged in the sector.”

The coalition, however, appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to also consider a bailout plan for the states that owe salaries until they could get back to their feet.

EducationAfrican Proverb Of The Day. by Giyerte(op): 6:36am On Jun 22, 2015
Proverbs are an integral part of African culture. Passed on from generation to generation for centuries, they are still in wide use today and are very much part of everyday speech.
Proverbs are used to illustrate ideas, reinforce arguments and deliver messages of inspiration, consolation, celebration and advice.

The great Nigerian author Chinua Achebe once wrote: "Proverbs are the palm oil with which words are eaten."
