Frpm the way events are unfolding, cersei is currently leading Daenerys in remaining on the iron throne. GRR Martin is a great writer he knows how to let we(the viewers or readers) keep guessing with his pen and paper. Cersei wont win the war to come.

Remember that casterly rock has been taken by the unsullied whih is the stongest hold of the lannistes. Was that Euron's fleet burning the ship of the unsullied?? I didnt quite get that scene well.

Ellaria deserves whatever purnishment given to her by cersei just that cersei would do it in a brutal and unwomanly way.

Littlefinger is up to something for sure but ithink Bran will discover whatever plan littlefinger is cooking up. Remember Bran is the thtee eyed raven.

The meeting between daenerys and jon snow didnt turn out bad. I knew jon will never bend the knee just for bending sake.

Who heard wat mellisandre told varys?? It seems varys will die soon just like her, although i dont trust the prophesy of that woman.

Episode 4 will be very bad.
The unsullied were led into a trap.

They will starve and die in casterly rock

Impressed with the onion knight. Best deal broker in GOT.

Was expecting Arya's arrival before Bran.

Ser Jorah healed too fast.

I dont think Olena will leave her gold for cersei to repay iron bank.

Cersie's punishment for Ellaria meaningless.
Healed too fast how?

It could have been months tho and the injuries were not even Healed yet.

Episode 3 has been aired. if you haven't watched it, please stay out of this thread. Episode 3 spoilers will be permitted from this point.

. . . . .
. . . . .

SPOILERS BELOW!

. . . . .
. . . . .

The Queen's justice was not as bad as I expected. Ellaria and Tyene killed many innocent people, so I think their punishment was well deserved.

Dany's invasion plan is falling apart. She lost her navy (the Iron fleet), her Unsullied army, and her Dornish and Tyrell allies. This was a great day for Cersei. Dany only has the Dothraki army and dragons, which means she can't beat Cersei without fire and blood. Westeros is bleeped. sad

It also means that she absolutely needs Jon's support. Perhaps he will promise to bend the knee to her if she helps him to defeat the night king.

Missandei and the Onion Knight seemed to be flirting. That was nice. He doesn't have Grey Worm's bum, but his frontalpackage is intact.

Littlefinger's advice to Sansa doesn't seem that bad. What exactly is he up to? huh

Sophie (Sansa) is of the best young actresses on the show. She really sold her first scene with Bran. No wonder she got the X-Men role. Respect.

Bran seems to be ridiculously overpowered. It is difficult to make sense of his abilities. Omniscience and time travel are problematic in stories.
Little finger scares me a lot.

What is he planning? Surely, all his punchlines have an endgame

Then i guess what the Walder Frey's kinsmen did killing her brother, mother and most of Starks men was not horrible?

They damn deserve what Arya did to them.

The only HORRIBLE thing she could have done was to kill their wives and children with them, but she only killed those damn butchers.
They both did horrible things.

It's not mutually exclusive

You know Daenerys is Jon's aunt right?
So?
TV/MoviesRe: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by gj22(m): 11:33am On Jul 26, 2017
Izen:
I think the whole point of game of thrones is the "song of fire and ice". At the end both Daernys and Jon are going to have to compromise to rule together and fight the night king. Jon is the ice and Daernys is the fire. Fire kills white walkers just like Davos noted to Jon. They're both Targaryens. Daernys is Jon's aunt. They can both legitimately lay claim to the throne.
Jon doesn't care about ruling though.

He has been made ruler twice despite not wanting it.

adegeye38:
Cersei is as good as dead, she is surrounded by enemies, she stands no chance

But the main war is between the living and the dead cos winter is here,

The wall is made up of Ice, stone and magic but white walkers will scale the wall, cos the magic protecting the wall against the walkers must have been affected by the night king touching bran due to the fact that bran might have been involved in building the wall (the magical part), through his time travelling sojourns

I think if Bran can somehow kill the Night king , the battle is won, the rest walkers will die immediately,
cos he turned them all, and the children of the forested only created one walker (the night king) to protect them from the first men untill he got out of their control
Oga, nothing is affecting anything until it is said and done.

It's just a theory until the show runners confirm

What are you saying?

They had a choice to disobey the order if they think what Walder Frey ordered is not right. But they did anyways, they killed their visitors under their roof.

No regrets bro.

She didn't even kill their wives and their children only the people that took part in the butchering.
Lol. Disobey orders and die.

Is that really a choice?

Don't defend arya, what she did was horrible but understandable

I have been following this Theon/Reek argument.

I support the fact that he reeked out, why? Because he saw as Euron's men were torturing his sister's soldiers and he doesn't want to get captured and be tortured again like Ramsey did to him.

Another reason he ran off is because like you said, there is nothing he could have done except he wants to die. Because if he decides to fight Euron, Euron will definitely kill him.

But the look on Yara's face was terrific, Yara wished her little brother could grow some balls one last time even if it means he will die. But her little brother reeked out.

Its yet to be seen if Theon have any other purpose in the series again, and yes i think he does. I saw a picture online of him, Jon, Gendry and Deanerys. I think he will be the one to find Gendry.
The main reason was he was triggered.

That is why the show runners showed him looking round at people being tortured.

He didn't want to go through the same shit again. But who can blame him?

Death is a nice place compared to where he has been.

I don't.

His father was disgusted by him and always showed it. Basically, he considered killing him as a child. He almost doesn't consider Tyrion as his child. Meanwhile the other two are adored. He almost enjoyed watching Tyrion be humiliated at the Purple Wedding.

He got a chance and took it.
Physical and emotional abuse.

I don't understand how someone can think tyrion is bad just because he killed someone that treated him like hell.

We can see from all his other interactions that he is a good man.

Zero guys
I don't think the movie is concerned about feminism or anything related

Guess its all just coincidence... Like Seun said... How come euron(male) defeated the sand snakes.... huh
It's just overanalysus.

Women are raped, beaten, treated like shit all through the show.

Men suffer a different kind of horror from their fellow men

But women suffer in the hands of men.

The writers are telling a story. I am a guy but I don't really care for this whole sex divide.

euron doesn't see him as an important figute...

He sees him as a cockless coward
Also, euron is king of the iron islands, all the yara loyalists are dead.

Theon can't reclaim the throne. He is useless
TV/MoviesRe: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by gj22(m): 6:23pm On Jul 25, 2017
Seun:
Is he actually going to escape by simply swimming away, though? It seems unrealistic that they couldn't send a few swimmers (or a couple of arrows) after such an important target.
Important? He held yara captive, decimated the yara army.

Theon isn't important, euron is king of the iron born.

Like you said, he will die out there, he can't swim from there.

It's so irritating when they try to make women like men and kill all the men. Looking at it carefully, it's not hard to see that the males alive are not men in every sense of the the word.

1. Tyrion may be a wise crack and all but he's not a 'man' as he is a dwarf.

2. Theon greyjoy has no d-ick. Enough said.

3. Varys has no dick.

4. Jamie lannister keeps f.vcking his sister and now he has no options. He's been played out by cersei. Whoever marries her will be king and not him. Also, he has no kids.

5. Jorah the andal is diseased and a supplicating b=itch! I can't stand him.

In short eh, the show is soooooo irritating now, I almost stopped when that tiny queen started talking at the northmen meeting.
"Men in every sense of the word"

Lol.

Laughable statement .

So, a dwarf now is no longer a man just because he is short?

Eunuchs are no longer men?

This is the 21st century oga, stop thinking like you were born in the 10th century

There are still story arcs that haven't been adapted yet.

What will make Jamie kill Cersie is jealousy I guess, the Episode one (Dragonstone) shows how he despise every of her sister move with the Savage comment by Greyjoy.
Jealousy? I doubt.

Jaimie is reasonable and seriously disapproves of cersei's methods.

But jealousy isn't his way.

If he will kill her, he will kill her for a more reasonable reason such as she spiralling out of control.

No one is saying they will hold the castle for Stannis, but another Lord should have claimed it after news of Stannis fall.

Even if no Lord claim it, there should be people living there.

Someone is even said Dragonstone is just a war planning site, Dragonstone is a city. There should be people inhabiting the edifice.
Dragonstone is the castle on an island.

It's not a city.

You expect citizens to go and leave there? Then how do they eat or feed? They won't even have army to protect themselves when or if a Lord or the crown comes for the place. Sounds like more trouble than its worth.

Dragonstone is a castle located on the island of the same name at the entrance to Blackwater Bay. Located below the Dragonmont and shaped from stone to look like dragons, Dragonstone was the original seat of House Targaryen in Westeros, and had been colonized and fortified as the westernmost outpost of the Valyrian Freehold. The castle has a dark reputation

What if the garrison is hidden beneath Dragonstone where there's a mountain of Dragon glass?

Maybe when they heard Stannis fell in the war of the five kings, they took to hiding. I mean we don't really know if Dragonstone was really abandoned. . . .we saw it for a total of 5 minutes in episode 1.
It's abandoned.

Stannis men deserted him.

Santino1:
I have tried, albeit unsuccessfully, to make the same point. Perhaps, you'll be luckier.

A case in point is Harrenhal. In season 2, we saw that when Gregor Clegane arrived, he was putting the people that held the castle (including the household staff and bandits the rounded up on the road) to the sword until Lord Tywin arrived and asked him to put the able bodied men to use not to the sword. Now the question is: If a sh*thole like Harrenhal was being guarded (and we don't for whom, like everyone is asking in case of Dragonstone), then it makes no sense that a more important Dragonstone would be left fallow.
Stannis lost respect from his men.

He has no heir, no family.

They all deserted him. They lost faith in him

Who will hold a castle for him for over 2 years when he is dead and has no heir?

Even jaimie told cersei that no one wants to fight for the losing side let alone a side that has already lost.

His men being there could be branded as traitors of the crown especially when there is no stannis to defend them.

Everything doesn't have to be told the audience word for word.

Those points are pretty clear in the show.

I don't understand how you can't deduce this. This is not a book where there is exposition in every sentence
