The organisers of the Miss Afikpo 2026 pageant have officially unveiled the crown for the forthcoming edition, setting the tone for a competition rooted in culture, leadership and service. Unveiled as more than a decorative piece, the 2026 crown reflects Afikpo’s long-standing belief that beauty is defined by strength, character and legacy rather than glamour alone. Organisers explained that the crown was intentionally crafted to return to tradition, symbolising responsibility and purposeful leadership. Adorned with over 200 carefully placed blue bead stones, the crown represents wisdom, truth, calm leadership and Afikpo’s deep cultural identity. Each bead, they noted, was designed with meaning, reinforcing the idea that the crown is a call to service rather than a symbol for display. According to the organisers, while previous queens upheld the honour of the title with pride, the 2026 edition seeks a new kind of queen — one who is bold, grounded and ready to actively serve as an ambassador of Afikpo. The crown reveal also signalled the countdown to the grand finale of Miss Afikpo 2026, scheduled to hold on January 1, 2026, at Davito Lounge, Afikpo, Ebonyi State. The event will feature a red carpet reception from 4:30pm, followed by the main event at 6:00pm. Attendance to the event is free for regular guests, while VIP access is priced at ₦30,000, and couples’ tickets are available for ₦10,000. Organisers described the pageant as more than a competition, calling it a platform through which Afikpo chooses a cultural ambassador who embodies heritage, leadership and destiny. Members of the public are encouraged to follow updates on Instagram and TikTok via @wne_missafikpoevent as preparations continue toward the historic night.

Like a force that cannot be easily stopped, the tireless and immeasurable efforts by the iconic AFROEUROPA 2022 Culture Ambassador - Ayan de First - Mr Culture, is unmatched. On his list of entertained guests, are royal families from home and abroad and their guests (including the late Queen of United Kingdom Elizabeth II, King Charles III of United Kingdom), and the society’s elite in Africa and the diaspora. Mr Culture recently welcomed a change in his show business dynamics when he honoured an invitation from the Comrades' to perform on a sea trip to Santorini in Greece for a double celebration of Wale Adetoro’s fiftieth milestone, and Princess Iyunade Tiaraoluwa's second birthday. The sailing time lasted about five hours, long enough for Mr Culture to present his usual mind-blowing performance to the excited guests, which brought smiles to their faces and stirred up emotions that would last long in their memories. It was an awesome experience for everyone on board with Ayan de First enlarging his entertainment coast, setting another record of being the first African Talking Drummer to perform on the Mediterranean Sea. According to the culture ambassador whose face lights up at the mention of the word culture, the fact of the matter is simple - “when it relates to African culture, I will continue to set new records”. “I believe strongly in creativity and innovation, hence, why I try to introduce new and interesting ideas to my presentation whenever I have the opportunity to showcase the richness, vibrancy and beauty of the African culture.” Although, on this particular occasion due to unforeseen circumstances, Mr Culture had to cut short his trip to the Greek Islands, he still affirms that he enjoyed the sailing experience and feel blessed by the opportunity it availed him.
