The supporters of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, today grounded economic activities in Benin, the capital of Edo State following the despicable decision of Godwin Obaseki to scuttle the campaign in the state.

Man arrested with money stolen from church offering box. The suspect, Opeyemi Olufemi, was riding on a motorcycle with a school bag when he was intercepted by policemen on stop and search duties along Igbara Odo/Akure Road. When his bag was searched, different denominations of Naira notes amounting to NGN 620,115 were found in the bag. Papers with prayer requests were also found in the bag. Popular Nigerian music star Davido has again been warned against a future danger by the prophet who predicted the death of his son 10 months ago.



The prophet identified as Samuel King had in a prophecy he shared on January 7, 2022, asked Davido and his family to pray against evil occurrences, including the death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

King shared the prophecy in a Facebook post.

“PRAY FOR DAVID ADELEKE aka Davido. In a vision, I saw 2022 with so many opportunities for him, rewards, and awards! This is the biggest year for him even until 2023! But let’s pray Against any arrow of death ESPECIALLY against his son! Any close loved ones. God revealed to me that it will happen if prayers are not MADE. I see T and Y as a very significant clue to this prophecy as well,” the prophet wrote.


Ifeanyi Adeleke died on Monday, about 11 days after he celebrated his third birthday.

According to reports, Ifeanyi drowned in a swimming pool at his father’s house in Banana Island on Monday and was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead on arrival.

Reacting, Prophet King commiserated with the Adeleke family in a video he posted via his Facebook page on Tuesday.

He recalled his prophecy and further warned that “there is something he (Davido) needs to know” to avert other dangers ahead of him.

According to King, he made efforts to reach the Adelekes after his prophecy without success because “I’m not among the so-called names of the big men of God in Nigeria who probably can speak to some celebrities.”

LASEMA recovers waste truck from Lagos Lagoon

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency on Sunday recovered a Private Sector Participant truck that plunged into the lagoon at the Iyana-Oworo area of the state.

Journalist had reported that two occupants of the truck were rescued after the incident occurred on Tuesday, October 19, 2022.

At least a car and three trucks, conveying goods said to be worth over ₦500million, were set abl@ze by the hoodlums.

Spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, who confirmed the incident to newsmen said: “It is a case of armed r@bbery and arson. It was reported in the early hours of today.

The hoodlums blocked the Onitsha-Owerri road expresssway by Ekwusigo-Ozubulu. Police quickly went to the scene. Before we got there, the armed r@bbers had already made away with personal belongings of the victims who were on transit and when they couldn't get what they wanted, they set the trucks carrying tomatoes on fire.”
