Richtaiwo: So despite all these diatribe and tirades by ipobidients, people are not defecting to Labour Party? And on the contrary, they rather defect from the party to APC.
From the way things are going, Labour Party will soon go into extinction. E be like na wetin Peter Obi want go tidy up with Tinubu for Italy be dat.
Because from the picture below, it seems Peter Obi has been begging Fayemi to introduce him to Tinubu, which seems to be playing out right now. Labour Party is so weak right now |

FreeStuffsNG: It is not archaic. It's funny how most you think this way because you are made to believe such transportation system has been phased out anywhere in the world. Smh
They exist side by side with others and most times are restricted to the suburbs even in Western world.
We don't even have enough public transport vehicles and our alternatives are just emerging and developing so if you understand how policy works and other considerations you will appreciate the role these guys play. As I type here, they are the largest group that can provide service in state wide logistics like during elections and census. If government keeps them in business while ensuring that the buses are safe and functionally road worthy then jobs created in that sector can help reduce crimes.
To run government is serious business and you need a bird eye view to understand.
Many of you typing here can't even afford appropriately-priced mode of transportation with AC and perfect-road worthy vehicles if government chooses to swallow hook, line and sinker the idea that danfo be phased out.
Many will now be crying that public fare has gone beyond what you can afford and it will now become another problem as companies may struggle to hire and fill job positions because most employees will not be able to afford transportation cost to and from home. You don't know me and yet you're saying all these to and about me |
Car Talk › Re: How Do Lagos Commercial Buses Obtain Road Worthiness Certificates? by Globad(op): 3:05pm On May 17, 2025 |
ZaddyJ: Road worthiness for commercial vehicles is for 6 months and not a year , I’m most likely sure this is the reason why they won’t show up No. Isn't this also applicable to private vehicles? Commercial buses don't have the same expiry dates, just like private vehicles. |

FreeStuffsNG: Korope was used as transition vehicle for last mile journey to replace Okada and stop the Okada armed robbers crime that was prevalent then ma. It was a brilliant and successful move. There's a strategic thinking in the way we do things in Lagos. I don't see it as strategic What I would see as strategic is a quick transition to modern buses and a total phase out of those yellow buses Lagos, and even other states are overipe for this Let's stop rationalising archaic methods of transportation |

SmartPolician: Every government needs money to function. So, asking Nigerians in diaspora to pay only $50 for a new BVN isn't a big deal. They should have their own NIN too.
Foreigners should have their own BVN and NIN too. That way, we know the actual population both in Nigeria and outside Nigeria. In fact, government should start arresting people who don't have NIN! I support compulsory registration for NIN |

FreeStuffsNG: They are not usually perfectly road worthy but most of them are road worthy but lack the anesthetics because of prolonged wear and tear. Gone are the days that you have the horrible ones besides you now have many alternatives.
If you ban them in a blanket way and you will see how Yoruba radio programs will be buzzing with curses on the Rich & Powerful, accusing them of wanting to kill the poor but should not complain if crime surges. This even became a serious political issue at some point. What LASG is doing is phasing them out slowly and gradually in a humane and sustainable way. Hmmmm Are you sure they're phasing them out? There were no koropes a few years ago, now they are everywhere |

NaijaNaWaa: Not only Lagos. 95% of commercial vehicles in Abuja are in utter state of disrepair. No break, no lights, no horn, disfigured body, wobbling tires, smokey, zero regard for traffic rules and other road users… all driven by a bunch of mad men high on cheap and adulterated drugs. The most annoying part is that the Road Safety, regular and traffic police would see them and look away. Nigeria is a matured jungle. A whole federal capital |

Iretii0511: In Africa, we mixed our culture with religion. That’s why when a Yoruba person wants to reference God with the second person pronoun, he/she uses “ẹ”. It’s how a lot of our religion dogma in Africa is formed. Where did you get this wrong notion from? |
