PhonesMTN Xtracash: How To Borrow Real Money From MTN by Globallords(op): 4:01pm On Apr 21, 2018
How to Borrow Money From MTN and Pay Later Using MTN XtraCash

MTN Nigeria has added another value added service to their existing platform. You can now borrow money from MTN using MTN XtraCash service; I mean real Money just the way you borrow airtime and pay later.
MTN XtraCash is a new service that allows eligible customers to access short-term Micro Credit loans via a USSD platform from their mobile phones.

How to Apply for MTN XtraCash Service?
Eligible customers can request for XtraCash by dialing the USSD code *606# and select XtraCash on the menu. You will then be taken to the next stage where you will choose the option to apply for the load and thereafter know the tune of amount that you are allowed to borrow. Once your application is successful, your MTN Yello account would be credited in due time.

How Much Can I Borrow From MTN?
You can borrow N5,000 or N10,000 based on eligibility but this is applicable to only MTN customers.

How Do I Receive The Cash?
The Xtracash Loan amount would be credited into customers’ Diamond Yello Account. The MTN Xtracash loan maturity period is 30 days at an interest rate of 15%.

What if I Don’t Have Diamond Yello Account?
Well, the only eligibility is to have MTN Diamond Yello Account which you can easily open by dialing *710#.
Now you can borrow data from MTN using xtrabyte, borrow airtime using xtratime and now borrow money using the xtracash platform.

Christianity EtcHow Jesus Disciples Died by Globallords(op): 7:40am On Apr 08, 2018
HOW THE APOSTLES DIED

1. Matthew
Suffered martyrdom in Ethiopia, Killed by a sword wound.

2. Mark
Died in Alexandria, Egypt , after being dragged by Horses through the streets until he was dead.

3. Luke
Was hanged in Greece as a result of his tremendous Preaching to the lost.

4. John
Faced martyrdom when he was boiled in huge Basin of boiling oil during a wave of persecution In Rome. However, he was miraculously delivered From death.
John was then sentenced to the mines on the prison Island of Patmos. He wrote his prophetic Book of Revelation on Patmos . The apostle John was later freed and returned to serve As Bishop of Edessa in modern Turkey . He died as an old man, the only apostle to die peacefully

5. Peter
He was crucified upside down on an x-shaped cross.
According to church tradition it was because he told his tormentors that he felt unworthy to die In the same way that Jesus Christ had died.

6. James
The leader of the church in Jerusalem , was thrown over a hundred feet down from the southeast pinnacle of the Temple when he refused to deny his faith in Christ. When they discovered that he survived the fall, his
enemies beat James to death with a fuller's club.
* This was the same pinnacle where Satan had taken Jesus during the Temptation.

7. James the Son of Zebedee
Was a fisherman by trade when Jesus Called him to a lifetime of ministry. As a strong leader of the church, James was beheaded at Jerusalem. The Roman officer who guarded James watched amazed as James defended his faith at his trial. Later, the officer Walked beside James to the place of execution. Overcome by conviction, he declared his new faith to the judge and Knelt beside James to accept beheading as a Christian.

8. Bartholomew
Also known as Nathaniel Was a missionary to Asia. He witnessed for our Lord in present day Turkey. Bartholomew was martyred for his preaching in Armenia where he was flayed to death by a whip.

9. Andrew
Was crucified on an x-shaped cross in Patras, Greece. After being whipped severely by seven soldiers they tied his body to the cross with cords to prolong his agony. His followers reported that, when he was led toward the cross, Andrew saluted it in these words: 'I have long desired and expected this happy hour. The cross has been consecrated by the body of Christ hanging on it.' He continued to preach to his tormentors For two days until he expired.

10. Thomas
Was stabbed with a spear in India during one of his missionary trips to establish the church in the Sub-continent.

11. Jude
Was killed with arrows when he refused to deny his faith in Christ.

12. Matthias
The apostle chosen to replace the traitor Judas Iscariot, was stoned and then beheaded.

13. Paul
Was tortured and then beheaded by the evil Emperor Nero at Rome in A.D. 67. Paul endured a lengthy imprisonment, which allowed him to write his many
epistles to the churches he had formed throughout the Roman Empire. These letters, which taught many of the foundational Doctrines of Christianity, form a large portion of the New Testament.

Perhaps this is a reminder to us that our sufferings here are indeed minor compared to the intense persecution and cold cruelty faced by the apostles and disciples during their times For the sake of the Faith. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: But he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Pass on to encourage other Christians
Why Do we feel sleepy in Prayer,
But stay awake through a 3 hour movie?
Why are we so bored when we look at the HOLY BOOK,
But find it easy to read other books?
Why is it so easy to ignore a msg about God,
Yet we forward the nasty ones?
Why are Prayers getting smaller,
But bars and clubs are expanding
Why is it so easy to worship a celebrity,
But very difficult to engage with God?
Think about it, are you going to forward this?
Are you going to ignore it, cause you think you will get laughed at?
When one door closes, God opens two: If God has opened doors for you, send this message to everyone on your contact list.
Make this message your contribution to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ

Fashion5 Best Colours For Aso Ebi Styles by Globallords(op): 11:48am On Mar 21, 2018
A Nigerian wedding today cannot be imagined without a variety of stunning Aso Ebi styles. Aso Ebi is worn by brides, bridesmaids, and female wedding guests of all ages.
Every woman has her own taste in Aso Ebi, but there are also some universal rules for choosing your ideal look. Find out which 5 colours work best in Aso Ebi and shop gorgeous, high quality Aso Ebi styles in Nigeria.

1. Teal green
Teal green is a fantastic choice of an Aso Ebi colour for a summer wedding. It’s a shade that instantly reminds everyone about the cool summer days, ocean water, and endless fun. At the same time teal looks solemn enough for even the most important occasion like your own wedding. If you’re looking for an unusual shade to rock in your Aso Ebi look, you should definitely consider teal green.

2. Silver
There is no better way to make sure everyone’s attention is drawn to you all night than to wear a silver Aso Ebi. Silver fabric looks expensive and festive, which is a great combination for a fabulous wedding look.
Plus, silver is pretty easy to pair with other shades, which means that your choices of accessories are nearly unlimited. You can even go all in and pick a total-silver Aso Ebi look.

3. Burgundy
Burgundy is a favourite colour for millions of Nigerian fashionistas for a reason: it’s one of the few shades that is simply perfect for special occasion styles, even though you rarely see it in everyday fashion.
Burgundy is considered to be a royal shade and it pairs really well with gold - you can often see bridesmaid parties dressed head to toe in burgundy and gold. Many believe burgundy to be a mature colour, but the truth is that is works for any age!

4. Peach
Peach is, perhaps, one of the most versatile colours when it comes to Aso Ebi. Peach looks youthful and fresh on its own, but it can also be successfully paired with dozens of other shades. The most popular colors to combine with peach are teal, mint green, gold, white, and even purple. Thanks to that versatility you can create different Aso Ebi looks for the bridesmaids while also easily keeping to the theme of the wedding.

5. Sapphire blue
Another regal choice of colour for an Aso Ebi look is sapphire blue. This colour is beloved by the rich and famous of the world thanks to being flattering and simply a pleasure to look at.
Sapphire blue pairs truly well with gold and silver, especially if you’re combining silver or gold shoes and purse with a blue Aso Ebi outfit.

Education2018 UTME: JAMB Withheld 111,981 Results by Globallords(op): 7:57am On Mar 21, 2018
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board on Tuesday said the results of 111,981 candidates who sat for the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination had been withheld for “further screening” while it had released 1,502,978 results.

The JAMB’s Head of Public Affairs, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, who stated this in a press release, noted that the results of the 350 blind candidates, who took the 2018 UTME, had yet to be released.
The PUNCH had exclusively reported on Monday that the board would release the results of 1.3 million candidates on Monday nationwide, after they had gone through all security checks and found to be without malpractice.
The JAMB spokesperson said on Tuesday that 1.5 million results had been released while 111,981 were withheld for further screening.

Benjamin said, “After viewing all CCTV footages during the conduct of the 2018 UTME and considering reports from our supervisors, monitors and other independent Nigerians, JAMB has released the results of 1,502,978 candidates.
“1,652,825 candidates had indicated interest in the examination by registering for the 2018 UTME. Also, 112,331 results are yet to be released out of which 350 are the results of the blind candidates which would be released soon and 111,981 results withheld for further screening.

HealthMust Read: Side Effects Of Getting Tattoo On Your Skin by Globallords(op): 9:19am On Feb 18, 2018
Its everywhere, people love it and are fascinated and so you made the visit to a tattoo parlor and either have your hand or leg or perhaps neck crested with a tattoo. You feel highly impressed at the designers work of art and can’t wait to show your friends.
Its never a doubt that tattoos are in fact beautiful and pleasing, but it is the long term effects that bothers me.
Over 2 million people alone in Argentina, ranging from celebrities, sport stars and even the common man on the street has a tattoo.Tattoo Ink can endanger the health than you could ever imagine. So, before you get a tattoo, here are some side effects that you are likely to encounter as time goes on.

Side Effects/Danger Of Having Tattoo On Your Skin

1. It Is Permanent, It Makes You Feel Uncomfortable
Tattoos are made by puncturing your outer skin with ink filled needles; this primarily affects the inner layer of the skin. This causes the outer layer to wear out as you grow older but the ink remains permanent on the inner layer.
This means that you tamper with the complexion of your skin and makes it nearly impossible to get back the original color and texture of your skin after tattooing on it.
Well, unless you opt for laser treatment, an external therapy which is so painful and extremely expensive, you might want to consider a rethink before you regret it in the future.

2. Its Chemicals Can Cause Negative Effects
Toxic chemicals like lead, mercury are used in preparing tattoo ink and when these chemicals are injected into your skin via needles, could trigger adverse effects which turns out to be quite detrimental for your skin as it can result to skin cancer and also permeation of major important organs. You should also be aware that tattoo ink is exactly the same as the ones used to paint automobiles and used for printers.

3. It Aggravates Allergies
Because the tattoo ink is composed of strong and toxic chemicals, there are chances of developing a major skin allergy or a break out just after you get a tattoo made on your body. And this is true especially if a person is already allergic or has tendency to catch bacterial infections. You could get red rashes which are although common in appearance, can cause extreme discomfort through itchy and irritable skin.
Hence, get an allergy test done before you go to get that tattoo carved. Common allergies that you might develop are Dermatitis, Psoriasis, Scarring and Eczema.

4. It Cause Life Threatening Diseases
One of the most significant and often neglected aspects of getting a tattoo on your skin is that it can cause life endangering diseases like Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV and AIDS. Mainly due to infected needles and maintaining poor hygiene of the entire tattoo carving process. Giving into pleasure in an attempt to look unconventional and stand out from the crowd sounds cool as long as it does not affect your life.
There is no fun in indulging into something that could bring your life to an irrevocable end.

5. Stigma To Your Personality
While tattoos are a beautiful way to express creativity and art, many people in the society are still not very open in their perception about it. Tattoos can attach a stigma to your personality which can make you look rebellious or belonging to a certain genre. This can alter your image when you are out amongst other people.
Sometimes it does serve to boost your social image among friends or people thinking “out of the box” especially painters, musicians, stage performers etc.
At the same time, it could also lead to adverse effects on situations where a more conventional and formal approach is required. So choose wisely and envision the repercussions it would have on your image.

HealthRe: 10 Ways To Prevent Heart Infection by Globallords(op): 3:19pm On Dec 28, 2017
Globallords:
10 Ways To Keep Your Heart Healthy

1. Eat a Low-fat Diet
A heart-healthy diet is low in total fat, saturated fats and trans fats that raise blood cholesterol levels. To cut saturated fat, choose lean cuts of meat and remove skin from poultry before eating. Choose low-fat and fat-free dairy products. To avoid trans fats, check the ingredient list on all commercially processed food products, especially baked goods and crackers, and avoid any that contain partially hydrogenated vegetable oils.

2. Eat More Fiber
Fiber helps lower blood cholesterol levels and helps you feel full, so you are less likely to overeat. A high-fiber diet contains nutrient-packed foods, such as fruits and vegetables, whole-grain cereals and breads and legumes, such as black beans, lima beans, chickpeas and lentils.

3. Avoid Stress
The way you handle both personal and professional stress may affect your heart directly, or it may affect other risk factors that lead to heart disease, such as blood pressure and cholesterol levels, physical activity levels and eating, drinking and smoking habits. If you feel overwhelmed by stressful events or respond to stress with poor lifestyle choices, speak to a health care practitioner about healthier ways to cope.

4. Adopt Regular Medical Checkups
See your doctor for an annual physical that includes blood pressure and cholesterol testing and monitoring. Take any medications prescribed to control blood pressure and cholesterol levels as directed or speak to your doctor about alternatives.

5. Reduce Cholesterol Intake
Cholesterol is found only in animal products, such as meat, poultry, dairy products and eggs. Lean and low-fat foods can still be high in cholesterol. Check Nutrition Facts labels to keep track of the cholesterol in your food and consume no more than 300mg daily.

6. Eat Fish
Eat fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel, sardines and albacore tuna at least twice a week. Omega-3 fatty acids, found in fatty fish and in fish oil supplements, can lower blood triglycerides (fats), slow the buildup of plaque in the arteries, lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of sudden death from heart attack, according to the American Heart Association.

7. Reduce Weight
Being overweight increases your risk of developing high blood pressure, high blood triglycerides (fats), low levels of healthful HDL cholesterol and heart disease. Losing weight decreases your risk of these and other health conditions that affect your heart, such as diabetes and sleep apnea (obstructed breathing).

8. Regular Exercise
Get at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise every day, or at least on most days. Regular aerobic exercise such as brisk walking, bike riding, stair climbing, swimming, jumping rope, circuit training and dancing keeps your heart fit, raises your levels of protective HDL cholesterol and can help you lose weight or maintain a healthy weight. Being active at home and at work rather than just sitting for most of the day also contributes to heart fitness.

9. Drink Moderately
Although a glass of red wine contains antioxidants that may help reduce the risk of heart disease and alcohol can cause a slight raise in HDL cholesterol levels, drinking too much alcohol can increase your blood pressure, your triglycerides and your calorie count. Moderate drinking is defined as up to one average-sized drink daily for women and two for men.

10. Quit Smoking
Many different chemicals found in tobacco smoke can damage your heart, according to experts at the Mayo Clinic. Smoking decreases your body's supply of oxygen and causes blood vessels to constrict. Simply cutting back or switching to low-tar and low-nicotine brands of cigarettes is not enough to significantly reduce your risk of heart disease. When you quit smoking, your risk of developing heart disease starts to drop immediately and decreases dramatically within the the first year.

PhonesWhatsapp To Stop Working On Blackberry And Windows Phone On December 31 by Globallords(op): 11:49am On Dec 26, 2017
Top messaging app, WhatsApp will stop support for a number of mobile devices after December 31, 2017. The messaging app will end support for ‘BlackBerry OS’, ‘BlackBerry 10’ , ‘Windows Phone 8.0’ and older platforms from December 31, 2017.

WhatsApp says in a blog post that users on these particular mobile devices will not be able to create new accounts, nor re-verify existing accounts once the company ends support.
WhatsApp had earlier announced it will stop support for many of these older platforms. End of support does not mean a user will lose access to their WhatsApp account. WhatsApp says users can continue using the app on their phone, but should not expect any future security updates or new features.

While Windows 8 will be axed down once 2018 begins; WhatsApp will continue support for Windows 8.1 version and higher devices, even though Microsoft itself has admitted that Windows Mobile is dead.

To recall, WhatsApp had extended support for both platforms in June this year. At the time, WhatsApp had also revealed that the app will stop working for phones running Nokia S40 will be stopped from December 31, 2018. The app will stop working on phones running Android 2.3.7 and older (Gingerbread) will be stopped from February 1, 2020. The messaging app became unavailable on Nokia phones running Symbian S60, from June 30, 2017.

In BlackBerry’s case, the company has itself confirmed it will no longer be manufacturing or launching new smartphones, and the BlackBerry 10 and BlackBerry OS have been abandoned.

Following the recent scarcity of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) also known as petrol across the country, the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) has assured the public that it would sanction depots and stations selling above the recommended price.

The DPR had earlier accused petroleum marketers of hoarding and diversion of petrol, thereby fuelling the scarcity of the commodity across the country.
The task force further noted that some filling stations had being sealed for selling petrol above N145 per litre pump price.
In this light, the agency has released emergency contact numbers to the public to call officers for complaints or observations of stations hoarding fuel or selling above the official pump price.

It was previously reported that Tayo Aboyeji, the southwest chairman of Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), on Monday confirmed that massive loading of petrol was ongoing at different depots in Lagos.
Aboyeji made the confirmation in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, assuring Nigerians that the current scarcity of fuel would end in the next two days.
According to the chairman: “I am glad to tell you that the product is now available and today, being Christmas holiday, tanker drivers are waiting to collect the product.
“Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is now making use of Major Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) tank farms to distribute petrol."

HealthHow To Maintain A Healthy Lifestyle by Globallords(op): 5:14pm On Dec 22, 2017
Being healthy should be part of your overall lifestyle, not just a New Year’s resolution. Living a healthy lifestyle can help prevent chronic diseases and long-term illnesses. Feeling good about yourself and taking care of your health are important for your self-esteem and self-image. Maintain a healthy lifestyle by doing what is right for your body.

STEPS TO MAINTAIN A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

1. Maintain A Healthy Weight
Determine whether you are overweight by checking your body mass index. If you are overweight, it can lead to a higher risk of chronic disease such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, stroke and certain cancers.

2. Adopt A Healthy Feeding Pattern
This means staying away from food high in saturated fats, sodium and added sugars. Eat more whole grains, lean proteins such as chicken or legumes and beans, low-fat or non-fat dairy, and increase your fruits and vegetables.

3. Ensure A Regular Medical Check-up
Depending on your age, certain medical tests and screenings, such as mammograms, colonoscopies and heart tests, are necessary. Stay up to date on your health screenings to identify whether there are medical problems to address.

4. Make A Positive And Healthy Relationship
Surround yourself with people who support you and who you feel good around. Your partner in life, friends and others who are in your life should respect you. If you find yourself in an unhealthy relationship, take steps to improve it or move on.

5. Engage In Physical Activities

Take an exercise class, join the gym or just take a brisk walk outside. Making the time for physical activity is a necessity and not a luxury.

6. Know When And How To De-stress
Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health. Make sure that you have positive ways of dealing with stressors in your life. This might be exercising, meditating, yoga or just doing deep-breathing exercises. If stress becomes so severe that it is interfering with your sleep or ability to cope, talk to your doctor or a counselor.

7. Avoid Smoking And Taking Alcohol
Smoking can cause preventable diseases such as lung cancer and other cancers. Stay away from second-hand smoke, since this can also be hazardous to your health.
Excessive intake of alcoholic drinks may be dangerous to you internal organs, control it intake.

CelebritiesOLAMIDE: I Am Not Competing With Phyno by Globallords(op): 1:20pm On Dec 16, 2017
The change of venue from the Convention Centre of Eko hotel and Suites to the main bowl of Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, for the 4th edition of Olamide’s annual music concert, OLIC, has since generated series of controversies which has gone viral since its announcement on all media platforms.

The most prominent of all is that Olamide’s decision on changing the venue was borne out of the quest to surpass his fellow artiste and friend, Phyno, who has held two successful, sold out editions of his Phyno Fest concert at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, in Enugu.
However, in an exclusive chat with Showtime, Olamide explained the major reason for the change of venue.

“I’m not competing with Phyno, everybody is entitled to their own opinion, and I’m just living my own dream. I’m 100% excited because this is something I’ve been looking forward to for over three years now; it’s always been about doing it big, something beyond the ordinary, giving back to the people and spreading love.
Eko hotel is good, we’ve done a lot of stuff there but bringing OLIC4 to Teslim Balogun Stadium is about telling people out there that this is Lagos and Lagos cannot be limited, we can achieve whatever we set out to achieve”, he said.

EducationHow A 100 Level OAU Student Commits Suicide Over Poor Grade by Globallords(op): 10:54pm On Oct 29, 2017
A young 100 level student of Obafemi Awolowo University has taken her own life due a poor grade she recorded in a core course.

A 16-year old 100-level student of Microbiology department at the Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife in Osun State – Mercy Afolaranmi, has killed herself.
Miss Afolaranmi took ‘Sniper’ days after she wrote on Facebook that she wanted to see God’s face and speak with him face to face.

Obafemi Awolowo University’s Chief Security Officer, Babatunde Oyatokun, said, “We got a call that one of our students took poison. We got to hospital to realise that she mixed rat poison. She gave us the contact of her parents but before they arrived, she already gave up due to the effect of the poison she took,” he told Premium Times.

Her fellow students and a neighbour also revealed that Mercy killed herself due to poor grade.
A neighbour, Bimpe Oni, said the student, who lived off-campus at Sabo area of Ile-Ife, died on Thursday, after she took “rat poison mixed with battery extract.”

Oni said the late student committed suicide because of “emotional pressure.”
Aisha, Miss Afolaranmi’s colleague in the Faculty of Science, said the deceased had ‘E’ in CHM101 (Chemistry for first year students), a reportedly dreaded course for year one students in the science and technology related faculties.
She disclosed, “Mercy often isolated herself in class and looked depressed. She told me she had ‘E’ in CHM101 and has been going around unhappy before this incident.”
