Religion / Signs And Wonders Galore As TB Joshua’s Protege, Evangelist Joseph David Conque by GlobalNews2020: 6:05pm On Dec 06, 2022
Signs and Wonders Galore As TB Joshua’s protege, Evangelist Joseph David Conquers Mexico For Christ! (Video)

The Bible declares, “Those who know the God they serve shall be strong, and do exploits." This scripture is being fulfilled in the life of God's anointed servant and late Prophet T.B Joshua’s protege, Evangelist Joseph David as God wrought signs and wonders through him in faraway Mexico.

Like when David went to the battlefield to check on his brothers and he beheld Goliath roaring against the army of Israel, He made inquiries to confront him but his brothers questioned him. And he said, is there not a reason why I am here? The beginning of Evangelist Joseph David’s ministration in Mexico City to continue with TB Joshua’s mandate is a confirmation of why the great Prophet included him among the SCOAN Board of Trustees as diverse deliverance occurred during his ministration.

We reliably gathered that akin to the tutelage he received under TB Joshua, Evangelist David has been waiting on the Holy Spirit in prayers for divine direction.

And by divine instruction, he and some other disciple colleagues moved to Mexico. In his words, "Our coming to Mexico was by a divine revelation. One of the friends of TB Joshua’s Ministry said shortly after the Prophet passed on, he saw the Prophet in a vision, and he told him to invite his disciples to Mexico to continue the work he started in the nation of Mexico beginning with Mexico For Christ Crusade in 2016.

To confirm his words, in the first service the Evangelist conducted, he started with a message titled, THE STATE OF OUR HEARTS. Everyone was overwhelmed as they saw the same grace and move of God upon TB Joshua manifesting through him effortlessly.

Immediately after the message, he began mass prayer and people started vomiting and manifesting with massive testimonies backing it up.

Ms Martha, the lady who interpreted for him in Spanish was the first to share a testimony that same day. The lady said immediately she got home and narrated the to her aged mother the message the old woman packed all the idols she had worshipped all her life and threw them into the refuse bin. Martha said that for over 5 years she has urged her mother to do away with those same idols but she bluntly refused, she vowed to serve them all her life. According to Martha, "Sunday 4th of December will remain a memorable day in her life."

Interestingly, All those who vomited poisonous substances testified to their healing.

Politics / Infanticide: I Disagree With Reuters, Says Kpf’s Ummu Kalthum by GlobalNews2020: 2:26pm On Dec 03, 2022
Infanticide: I disagree with Reuters, says KPF’s Ummu Kalthum

The founder and CEO of the Maiduguri-based NGO, Kalthum Foundation for Peace, Amb Ummu Kalthum Muhammad Rabiu has expressed sadness over a purported report by Reuters to dent the image of the Nigerian military

According to the alleged report, the Nigerian military planned and carried out forced abortions on over 12,000 women and girls. In their investigation, the military was also charged with murdering children in northeast Nigeria starting in 2013.

Top Nigerian Army figures like Lt. General TY Buratai Rtd, late Lt. General Ibrahim Attahiru, General LEO Irabor, and current Army head Lt. General Faruk Yahaya were named in the fictitious Reuters story as the perpetrators of the terrible atrocities. The founder and CEO of the Maiduguri-based NGO Kalthum Foundation for Peace, Ummu Kalthum, expressed her shock and dismay over the serious allegations made by Reuters about the Nigerian military. Kalthum has been actively involved in crisis negotiations, peace-building initiatives, and conciliatory efforts between the government, terrorists, and locals.

Politics / REUTERS’ MERCENARY Journalism………efforts By Reuters To Blackmail The Nigerian.... by GlobalNews2020: 10:49pm On Dec 02, 2022
REUTERS’ MERCENARY JOURNALISM………Efforts by Reuters to Blackmail the Nigerian Military Through Mercenary Journalism Fails

Reuters, an international news agency, now part of Thomson Reuters, wrote that it was working on a series of stories about purported actions of the Nigerian military during the government’s 13-year war against Islamist insurgents in the country’s North East. To them, they were committed to producing an accurate, fair and complete report hence, their request to arrange a time to discuss before their reporting. The supposed stories were purported to focus on 2 specific areas: First, supposed military-run programme of forced abortions performed on women and girls who were held captive and impregnated by Islamist militants and second, a supposed killing of children by the military as part of counterinsurgency operations.

The Reuters report was to also allege that, since 2013, Nigeria’s military had run a secret, systematic and illegal abortion programme in the country’s North East terminating at least 12,000 pregnancies among women and girls. That, many children were shot, poisoned, suffocated or run down by vehicles in army-led actions. Furthermore, the report was to allege that soldiers selected babies and toddlers for killing after rescuing them and their mothers from Islamist militants, amongst other weighty concocted allegations. The key motive for supposedly carrying out the abortions was allegedly the notion that the children of Islamist militants, because of the blood in their veins, would one day follow in their father’s footsteps and take up arm against the Nigerian Government and society.

Hmmm! Wickedness really runs in the veins of some people and it surely runs deep in the veins of the Reuters team that concocted such evil for interrogation. The fictitious series of stories actually constitute a body of insults on the Nigerian peoples and culture for, no people or culture in Nigeria practices such evil as dreamt up by the Reuters team. Irrespective of the security challenges we face as a nation, Nigerian peoples and cultures still cherish life. Hence, Nigerian military personnel have been raised, bred and further trained to protect lives, even at their own risk especially, when it concerns the lives of children, women and the elderly. This much is reflected in Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs), Concepts of Operations, Rules of Engagements (ROEs) and other documents that guide military operations. Hence, nowhere has the Nigerian military operated (Congo, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Rwanda, Yugoslavia, [Darfur] Sudan, Gambia and Guinea Bissau, amongst others) that, there has been any trace or allegation of infanticide. The Nigerian military will not therefore, contemplate such evil of running a systematic and illegal abortion programme anywhere and anytime, and surely not on our own soil. The Nigerian military will not also deliberately plan to target children during its counterinsurgency operations or other operations, both within and outside Nigeria.

The Reuters team must have been schooled in, and have now become proponents of scorched-earth and inhuman policies employed by colonialists during the colonial era and during the battles for independence in Indo-China, Malaysia, Algeria and other places. Villages and crops were burnt. Children, women, elderly, the innocent were killed in systematic and inhuman programmes. Nigerians, and by extension Nigerian military, are not made in such wicked mould, and the Reuters team cannot appropriate the evil of infanticide to the Armed Forces of Nigeria and the Nigerian peoples.

But, let’s interrogate the issues. It took Reuters 13 solid years to craft an allegation of infanticide against the Nigerian military and the Nigerian nation. This shows that a news agency as ‘renown’ as Reuters is itself complicit for failing in its mandate to draw attention, to inform the publics about supposed occurrences that offend not only the laws of armed conflict but also international humanitarian law.

Let us analyze the period from July 2021 till November 2022. A total of 82,064 Boko Haram fighters with members of their families have surrendered to troops of Op HADIN KAI. Out of this number, 16,553 were active male fighters, 24,446 were women while 41,065 were children. The Borno State Government is camping and accommodating them family-by-family, as per households, without having to separate the children from their parents. In the same camp are thousands of pregnant women and nursing mothers. A total of 262 babies were born within a period of 4 months (94 in July, 98 in August, 60 in September and 11 in October 2022). This figure comprises 150 female and 112 male children. The children were neither aborted nor yanked from their mothers and killed, as may have been the joy of Reuters.

Let us now spotlight the rescued Chibok girls who were kidnapped from their school by Boko Haram Terrorists in 2014. A total of 11 of the Chibok girls were rescued this year 2022. Hauwa Joseph with her child, Mary Dauda with her child, and Ruth Bitrus were rescued in June 2022. Troops also rescued Kauna Luka with her child and Hanatu Musa with her 2 children in July 2022. In the same vein, Aisha Grema with her 4 year-old child and Falmata Lawal were rescued in August 2022. Furthermore, Asabe Ali with her child, Jinkai Yama with her 3 children, Yana Pogu with her 4 children and Rejoice Senki with her 2 children were rescued in September and November this year. The names of the rescued girls are in Serials 18, 46, 41, 38, 7, 11, 3, 12, 20, 19 and 70 respectively (in the order of rescue) in the list of the abducted Chibok School girls. The rescued girls were handed over to the Borno State government after their rescue.

A visit to the Rehabilitation Centre accommodating the Chibok girls on 29 November 2022 revealed that, there were 2 other Chibok girls (with their children) recued earlier, making the number of the Chibok girls in the Centre to be 13. Other residents in the facility were children who were rescued by troops unaccompanied (by any adult) or who separated from their parents/relatives due to fog of war. The welfare of the Chibok girls with their children and the unaccompanied children, is a major priority of the Borno State Government. UNICEF is assisting the Centre in tracing the relatives of the Chibok girls as well as those of the unaccompanied/separated children to facilitate reintegration with their communities. If there was any evil, illegal programme to systematically kill the children of Boko Haram terrorists, then the children that the terrorists begat through the Chibok girls would have been prime targets.

The Joint Investigation Centre (JIC) is where captured terrorists (men and women) are being processed, to determine their level of complicity in the heinous crimes committed by the Boko Haram Terrorist group. There were 1,952 persons in the facility, which included 23 women with 11 children who remain attached to their mothers as at 30 November 2022. There is also a medical facility being run by the Centre in collaboration with medical staff of ICRC. The welfare of all the occupants at the JIC is thus highly prioritised, including basic education for the children, tailoring and hat-making skills acquisition for the adults as well as provision of recreational and sporting facilities for all the occupants.

Since July 2021 when the Boko Haram terrorists started surrendering with their families in droves, a community-based reintegration process is evolving, involving local traditional leaderships, town councils and family members. The process is made easier due to the fact that most of the surrendered terrorists were actually conscripted from their villages by the core terrorists, whose ranks have been degraded by more than 95 percent. Accordingly, a total of 4,933 recued civilians/surrendered persons (including 1,977 children, 1,423 women and 1,533 men) have been reintegrated with their communities from the camp housing the Chibok girls alone. The children were not taken from their parents and killed; unaccompanied ones were not also rounded up and killed.

A crucial point to note is the fact that, more than 245 United Nations agencies, International NGOs and local NGOs operate in the North East, who are active in the IDP camps and other concentrations of vulnerable peoples. They provide food, medical care and other services in collaboration with the Nigerian and Borno State Governments. But the wickedness of the Reuters team members must have blinded them, shutting them off from the humanitarian realities in the North East of Nigeria. UNICEF, Girl Child Concern, International Medical Corps, Save the Children International, Girl Effect, Concern For Women and Children Development Foundation, International Federation of Women Lawyers, Women and Children’s Right and Peace Building Awareness Initiative, Medicin Sans Frontiers (France, Switzerland, Belgium and Spain) as well as Centre for Protection of Women and Girls are some of the humanitarian organizations operating in the North East. These have direct responsibilities for the welfare of children and/or women in the crisis area. Could the humanitarian community operating in the North East of Nigeria be equally complicit in condoning or supporting infanticide as thought of by Reuters? Could the United Nations Secretary General have commended troops of OP HADIN KAI when he visited Maiduguri recently? Or, is he, himself also complicit for failure to address an organized infanticide in the North East, which exists only in the warped, wicked imagination of the Reuters team?

The history of the Nigerian military dates back to 1863, especially with respect to the Nigerian Army that conducts land operations either as a single Service or in joint operations with other Services or security agencies. So, what metamorphosed into the Nigerian military actually passed through several processes and experiences through the First and Second World Wars as well as a Nigerian Civil War. Contingents of the Nigerian military have also taken part in several UN or regional peace keeping or peace enforcement missions abroad, with honours as mentioned in previous paragraphs. To participate in such missions, Pre-Induction Training and In-Theatre Training are usually carried out vigorously. The protection of civilians especially women, children and the elderly, always formed a major plank of such training sessions.

Military training institutions in Nigeria also focus extensively on Laws of Armed Combat and International Humanitarian Law. Aside all these, Nigerians and the Nigerian military are lovers of children. Nigerian military personnel have thus constantly denied themselves ration, supplies, transport and medicine in order to cater for rescued civilians especially children, women and the elderly. The Nigerian military have grown in leaps and bounds in experience and stature in humanizing operations, even in the most confused and intense operational environment. Hence, it offends the pedigree of the Nigerian military, it offends the Nigerian culture, and it offends honour for Reuters to postulate that the Nigerian military had routinely carried out both small-scale and mass killings of children in its counter-insurgency/counter-terrorism efforts in the North-East of Nigeria.

The Reuters condemnable series of stories can only have arisen from a mentality of “media or Press-bullying”. Reuters is a media company with world-wide reach that sells news to print, electronic and online media outlets. The so-called News Editor for Sub-Saharan Africa, Alexandra Zavis, remains in South Africa and concoct evil lies to insult Nigerian peoples and cultures with allegations of infanticide purportedly being sponsored and carried out by the military and civilian leaderships in North East of Nigeria.

The Reuters’ series of stories are akin to telling the world that Nigerians still live on top of trees. It now seems that the new stock in trade for Reuters is, ‘mining’ and selling lies to demonize Nigerian military, Nigerian institutions and Nigerian leaderships. This new vocation of Reuters is worse than illegal arms trade, worse than hard-drug trafficking, and actually worse than terrorism. The so-called Reuters’ News Editor for Sub-Saharan Africa, Alexandra Zavis, should better retrace her steps, before the founder, Paul Julius Reuter, starts to regret the demonic journalism being practiced by the journalists that he left behind!

Politics / Why Borno Former LG Chairmen Forum Visited Buratai by GlobalNews2020: 7:36pm On Nov 23, 2022
Why Borno Former LG Chairmen Forum Visited Buratai

John Quincy Adams once said, "If your actions inspire others to dream, learn, do more, and become more, you are a leader. "This aptly described the growing influence of the legendary acts of Ambassador Lt Gen. Tukur Yusufu Buratai (CFR) as members of the forum of all Ex-Local Government chairmen of Borno state paid him a visit at his prestigious Tukur and Tukur’s farm Located at Gora in Karu local government area in Nasarawa State, about 40 kilometers from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) along the Abuja-Keffi expressway on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2022.

The forum led by their leader, Mallam Bulin Maumeri, stated that their mission was to appreciate Buratai for his immense effort in taming the insurgency in North East, especially Borno state under his leadership when he was the Chief of Army Staff.

According to the Forum, they confessed that before his emergence, the local governments in Borno became nonfunctional due to the fear of Boko Haram. But now all the local governments have become fully functional because of his giant strides in terminating the threat.

Mallam Balin in his speech stated that the entire people of Borno state and particularly the forum are proud of him. They noted with great pleasure his numerous achievements in the course of his career as a GENERAL in the Nigerian Army and his selfless service to humanity.

“The Forum warmly welcomes your resolve and entry into the political arena of Nigeria with your widely acknowledged sterling qualities and experience, more so, pitching your tent with our great party, APC. Our visit is to pledge our support and willingness to align with your political aspirations now and in the nearest future. We have very strong grips of the grassroots not just in Borno state but across the 774 LGAs in Nigeria. We, therefore, identify with you and offer our platform to build a Buratai Political Dynasty due to your outstanding honesty, humility, sagacity, intellectual capacity, and astuteness.”

Buratai in his speech appreciated them for honouring him. He called on the people of Borno and the Forum to support the APC candidates in the forthcoming election in 2023 with all available resources.

It would be recalled that the emergence of Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusufu Buratai as Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and leader of the counter-insurgency operations was the turning point in the war against the insurgents who have literarily occupied large chunks of the Northern part of Nigeria. His colleagues in the Military celebrated his appointment because they knew he had the nerve, courage, and capacity to give Boko Haram terrorists a bloody nose.

And Buratai flaunts enviable credentials in such warfare. Sequel to his leadership of counter-insurgency operations, Gen. Buratai had carved a niche for himself as Commander of various military operations in the dreadful days of the Niger Delta militants and elsewhere. He also piloted affairs of the Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF). He came to lead the counter-insurgency operations loaded like a volcano waiting to explode in the battle turf against terrorists.

Quite sensibly, the former Army Chief realized that he needed to raise a strong and professional Army from the decrepit soldiers he inherited. A philosopher, Confucius once cautioned that “To lead an untrained people to war is to throw them away.”

Therefore, Gen. Buratai quickly reformed the Nigerian and adequately prepared them through special trainings for the arduous national assignment. Sooner than later, the Nigerian Army was as fit as a fiddle to chivalrously face terrorists on the war front.

In a fresh and renewed confrontation with Boko Haram terrorists in the Northeast battlefields by the last quarter of 2015, the Nigerian troops led by Gen. Buratai rapidly began demolishing and consuming Boko Haram insurgents. Nigerian troops speedily gained ground against terrorists through astounding military exploits.

It manifested in the sustained scampering of Boko Haram terrorists through unwinding labyrinths and bush paths in the face of the mightier Nigerian troops. The rough, unmotorable and almost inaccessible terrain of the Northeast was a natural defense bulwark for the scared and fleeing terrorists. Insurgents resorted to the use of motorcycles to escape the wrath of soldiers.

The astute strategist, Buratai discovered that insurgents used motorcycles to shield themselves against a conclusive chase to their hideouts by Nigerian forces. He, therefore, countered the barrier, by introducing the squad by the name, “Motorbike Battalion.” He flooded the Northeast region with troops on motorbikes and escaping insurgents were chased by troops to their remotest hideouts and neutralized.

It took the General no time to decimate the formerly rampaging terrorists. Insurgents ostensibly became enfeebled by the strength and pressure mounted on them by Nigerian troops.

The leader of the counter-insurgency operations is an embodiment of innumerable war strategies and tactics. The nightmare of insurgents was further compounded with Buratai’s launch of the Special Strike Teams. He sometimes, joined his subordinate Commanders to train them personally. He unleashed the Special Strike Teams in different parts of the Northeast who were under strict orders to proactively assail insurgents.

Unrelenting, LT Gen. Buratai started expanding its military presence in the troubled Northeast region. He established a dozen Army Battalions and Forward Bases to make it easier for troops to respond to distress calls or emergencies in a flash.

And determined to make insurgents uncomfortable and protect the most vulnerable communities, he expediently established the 8 Division, Nigerian Army at Monguno to make coordination of smaller operational units of the “Operation Lafia Dole” more convenient and effective.

In order to frighten terrorists, Buratai personally led troops into the trenches fighting and howling out directives in the heat of battle. Buratai’s physical presence in the trenches and frontlines was a big blow to the psyche of terrorists whose plans were instantly dissolved at the frontlines during fierce battles with troops. It was a psychological wreck on insurgents and their warfare plans. But it boosted the morale of troops and all Nigerian territories seized and occupied by insurgents were reclaimed in a jiffy.

The fall of the Sambisa forest in 2016, was a new dawn in counter-insurgency operations. The remnants of terrorists rather became too scared of their shadows. They took to hiding to escape the viciousness of the Nigerian Army. It was daybreak for Boko Haram factional leader, Abubakar Shekau who had to disguise himself as a woman, dressed in a black hijab to escape the Northeast into Cameroon.

Politics / Commendations Trail Launch Of The Animated Narration Of The Legend Of Buratai by GlobalNews2020: 8:09pm On Nov 22, 2022
Commendations Trail launch Of The Animated Narration Of The Legend Of Buratai

“A lot of legends, a lot of people, have come before me. But this is my time”- Usain Bolt

It was glitz and glamour as the much anticipated public presentation of the Legend of Buratai, a fictional book and animated narration of the heroic deeds and exemplary life Of Ambassador Lt Gen. Tukur Yusufu Buratai (CFR) was launched on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022 in a well-attended ceremony by top-notch dignitaries across the board in Nigeria who unanimously commended the book.

The Legend of Buratai is the enthralling life story of Buratai, the former Chief of Staff of the Nigerian Army, who rose to legendary status by dint of hard work, bravery, diligence, excellence, and honesty. His journey through life is presented as an exemplary story for all who would aspire to follow his path.

The author of the book, Dr. Abubakar Mohammed Sani stated that the book which also came with an animated presentation was written in honor of the former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Tukur Buratai (CFR). He disclosed that the edition targets younger Nigerians and teaches them the principle of leadership. He reiterated that the book focuses more on pre-documentation of history and encourages the younger generation to join the Army.

While reviewing the book, Dr. Liz Ben- Iheanachio, the award-winning author of Children’s Literature, Critic and Folklorist described the book as a beautifully illustrated narrative of the biography of an officer, a gentleman, a philosopher, a soldier, and indeed a very brave soldier. She said the book meets the requirement targeted at young readers.

“This theme of courage, bravery, adventures, environmental security consciousness, patriotism, and romance is the stuff the youth connect with in Nigeria. The narrative purpose is appropriate for the audience. The action is fast-paced with fascinating use of flashbacks that connect history, folklore, and the immediate reality of the populace”

She also appraised the quality of the book. According to her, the qualities required to build a great nation lie in each individual.

“ By sharing the values and ethics that propel him into becoming one of Nigeria’s authentic heroes and making it available in formats and templates and resonate with the owners of tomorrow's leadership, Buratai who played the role of an omniscient narrator is not only shedding light and passing it on but investing in our youths by upholding the professionalism of those who have sworn to defend Nigeria’s territory. The book is an adaptive recreation of the prayers in our national anthem which says, the labor of our heroes past shall never be in vain. I urged that this book be stocked in all government-own secondary schools nationwide. I also called for an endowment of lt general Buratai’s national awards for young adults under the auspices of the Association of Nigerian authors”.

The celebrant, Buratai in his remarks appreciated the dignitaries who graced the occasion. He reiterated the fact that the book is being launched for the second time. The first volume was in prose type while the adaptation of the Legend of Buratai volume 1 with the animated version. He stated that the idea was solely initiated by the author. While addressing the school children he maintained that he is an ordinary boy who excelled through diligence, perseverance, hard work, loyalty, respect for parents, and religious piety. He said he has realized that anyone can become extraordinary if he or she can embrace the aforementioned virtues. Buratai also admonished them to be mindful of the types of friends they associate with. He appreciated his friend Dr. Manzo Ahmed who is a good friend that never influenced him negatively.

The colorful book launch was chaired by co-chaired by Hia Excellency, Rt, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, former Minister of Transportation, was ably represented by Sen, Ayogu Eze, while the chief launcher was Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, APC Chieftain and presidential candidate who was also represented by the Chairman of the house committee on defense, Honourable Babajimi Benson, while the unveiling was done by Alh. (Dr) Abubakar Muhammed Sani ( Sarkin Shanun Yamaitu). Other dignitaries included all service chiefs who were ably represented.

In truth, the legend of Buratai has garnered good reviews across the globe. According to Susan Keillor, LSW, MBA, freelance editor, and writer. The book is, “A fascinating book with a nice mix of military tactics and important life lessons from the mind of one of Nigeria’s most notable military strategists”. In his own words, Moses A. Uyang, author and humanitarian claimed that its“An unbelievable masterpiece, rich in history… children who read this will wish they had met General Buratai in person. This book is capable of reawakening patriotism to our fatherland.”

MAUREEN BADEJO SET FOR BANKCRUPTCY OVER INABILITY TO PAY JUDGMENT DEBT

Forwarned is forearmed! The first shot towards commencing Bankruptcy proceedings against Maureen Badejo, a UK based Vlogger has been fired by the Solicitors to Dr, & Pastor (Mrs.) Olukoya via a Statutory Demand served on her on 17th November 2022 to pay up the judgment sum of £60,000.

Under the judgment enforcement rules of the United Kingdom, is certain to have bankruptcy proeedings commenced against her unless she pays the judgment sum before the time limited under the Statutory Demand.

Recall that all efforts by Maureen to appeal against the judgment were truncated and dismissed by the appellate Judge who described her proposed grounds of Appeal as hopeless and pointless .

Harvest time is now here for Maureen and it would be interesting to see how true is her several boasts of tremendous personal wealth and how liberal her misguided supports have been towards donating to her several fund-me litigation accounts.

As usual I will keep you posted as this satirical event unfolds.

Business / Good Deeds: How Businessman, Dr Ernest Azudialu Obiejesi's Donation Of Ultra-mod by GlobalNews2020: 7:03am On Nov 15, 2022
Good Deeds: How Businessman, Dr Ernest Azudialu Obiejesi's Donation of Ultra-modern Building Brought Peace and Unity To Okija

It’s often said, the people we get along with, trust and feel simpatico with are the strongest links in our networks. Indeed,in a conscious and deliberate quest to institutionalize that culture of philanthropy that spurs him to do good deeds, Dr. Ernest Azudialu-Obiejesi, would rather spend his fortune on improving lives. He knows, however, that the world cannot be healed hurriedly on the knee. Thus, he eschews impatience and quick-fix solutions to societal problems. He desires neither typhoon nor tempest. He is content in his harbour to listen to the storm upon the rocks, if now and then by a lucky chance he can shelter someone from the wreck.

Interestingly, however, noiseless but impactful philanthropy is the watchword of Dr Ernest Azudialu Obiejesi, Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NESTOIL Group. He has mastered the art of spreading his wealth among kith and kin, and the next needy family on the block. His philanthropy is innate, a voluntary act that cannot be manufactured. He provides a wide range of social welfare programs with the intent to be the voice of those who desperately need help.

For his fellow Okija brethren straddling about 31 villages in Anambra State who used to move from one location to the other to have their town hall meetings, Dr Azudialu has stepped in once again to resolve that. Days back, he declared open the ultra-modern Obijackson Centre Lagos (Okija Town Union Building), Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.

The well-appointed building, which will henceforth serve as the meeting point for all Okija people and would bring peace and unity to them, was declared open by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. According to the governor, “In Lagos, our strength lies in our diversity, and that is what sets us apart. We have created an enabling environment for people and businesses from all walks of life to thrive. Therefore, it was a pleasure to attend the commissioning of the OBIJACKSON CENTER (Okija Town Union Building) in Amuwo Odofin LGA.

This center was built by my dear friend, Dr Ernest Nnaemeka Azudialu-Obiejesi OFR, Chairman/CEO of Obijackson Group and Foundation.”

The donation of the building is coming barely a year after the billionaire businessman and his wife founded a school called Gonzaga Jesuit College in Okija, a co-educational institution whose goal is not just to educate, but to form people of depth – intellectually, spiritually, and psychologically; and form people who are open to change, who exercise aptitude for personal conversion and social transformation.

Azudialu does all these under the auspices of the Obijackson Foundation established to tackle the issues of extreme poverty, illiteracy, hunger, and poor healthcare and make a real and measurable change in Eastern Nigeria and beyond. “The organisation is dedicated to improving the socio-economic well-being of the nation’s people through improved access to good quality education and healthcare in addition to cultural enrichment. Our intervention areas range from community development initiatives to food programmes to health schemes, the gemstone of which is the Obijackson Children’s Hospital in Okija, Anambra State,” he said.

It was also under the foundation that he built the the Obijackson Women and Children’s Hospital in Okija, which he has evolved into the foremost women & paediatric healthcare institution – the first of its kind in eastern Nigeria. The hospital, with state-of-the-art diagnostic, surgical and other equipment, has delivered hundreds of women. Patients who have no funds to pay for treatment are catered for by the Obijackson Foundation. Nobody has turned away from this hospital on account of their inability to pay their bills. Dr Azudialu says the sheer profile of the hospital and the impact in saving the lives of women and children across eastern Nigeria makes this project extremely humbling and fulfilling for him. The hospital directly employs about 100 locals. Hundreds more are indirect employees in the form of contractors and other service providers.

In his early 60s, Dr Azudialu’s Nestoil Group is a reference point in the oil and gas industry for its exceptional services in Pipeline Construction, Repairs and Maintenance, Fabrication and Pressure Vessel Manufacturing; Detailed Engineering Design and consultancy; Civil Construction Works as well as Dredging and Shoreline protection.

Joshua Iginla Condoles with Slain families, condemns the Vicious Attack on Apostle Suleman

Internationally acclaimed Prophet and shepherd in charge of Champions Royal Assembly, Joshua Iginla has condoled with families of the slain victims during the vicious attack against Apostle Johnson Suleman.

Iginla in an emotional laden voice during the sunday service today raised a prayer for the family of the seven slain victims. He also condemend the vicious attack against Apostle Suleman labelling it as barbaric and satanic. He also enjoined the security to rise to the occassion by arresting, prosecuting the culprits and their sponsors.

Furthermore, he challenged christian leaders to embrace the love of God and be united against. He reiterated the fact that true revival cannot occur until they relate as one body. Iginla also appealed to Nigerians to forgive the fathers of faith and stop attacking them. Accprding to hi,, they are not responsib, for the current state of the country:

“Last week an unfortunate incident occurred to one of our brothers in Christ and ministry, Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministries. It was a sad event. I gave him a call on Friday and he narrated the unfortunate incident to me.

I want to first say that our heart goes to the family of the policemen and ministry members who lost their lives In the sad event. There was an attempt on the life of the man of God and it was a narrow escape through the help of God.

I know people will say whatever they like. If you sat bulletproof or car proof but I want you to know there were people who ride in bulletproof cars, yet were accosted and killed. There were presidents who were heavily guarded yet assassinated.

In things like this we are not here to argue with men but say the act of trying to take somebody's life no matter the reason is barbaric, satanic, and devilish not to talk about it being against a man of God. We have come to a point in our time where hatred had filled our lives. We no longer understand what it means to have the fear of God.

I just want to register my voice by condemning this act. It is satanic and barbaric. I have confidence in the Nigerian Police. When they want to do their job, they will do it thoroughly. I have seen them moving swiftly on many occasions to incidents like this and bring out the truth. We hope the Nigerian police will not fold their hands and that the culprits and their sponsors will be arrested, prosecuted, and dealt with lawfully”

To the church and the body of Christ, we no longer know who is our enemy or friends. One of the scary set of people to deal with are pastors. Until we come to the point where we are united, we are just deceiving ourselves for the prayer of revival. Do you know the reason we don't have revival in the land? Do you think you can cause revival alone? No! You need me and I need you. We need one another. Also if we have offended you forgive us.

The attack on the Men of God is too much. If you don't talk about Papa Adeboye, you talk about Bishop Oyedepo. To you, everyone of us is not good. Forgive us. We are men before we became men of God. We are not the government of Nigeria, we are not the ones handling the political positions in Nigeria. The present predicament of Nigeria is not caused by us. Kindly vent your anger in the right direction and choose a new leader that can lead Nigeria right. We will never be politicians.

We are men of God. Also, men of God once they criticized you, consider the constructive criticism they appoint to you and turn a new leaf. The voice of the people sometimes can be the voice of God. But taking somebody's life is so dangerous. Watch my track record, even if I don't know you once you received a bullet as clergy I will come out to defend you. When senior prophet TB Joshua was alive I did the same thing in his lifetime and after his lifetime. If not for timely intervention... how much did they give you to take somebody's life? What a wicked world we live in..

Religion / Attack On Apostle Suleman, My Take On Christian Leaders By Femi Oyewale (opinion by GlobalNews2020: 11:13am On Oct 22, 2022
Attack On Apostle Suleman, My Take On Christian Leaders By Femi Oyewale (Opinion)

"Turning and turning in the widening gyre

The falcon cannot hear the falconer;

Things fall apart; the center cannot hold;

Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,

The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere

The ceremony of innocence is drowned;

The best lack all conviction, while the worst

Are full of passionate intensity"

It's no longer news that the shepherd in charge of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman escaped an assassination attempt on his life on Friday afternoon which sadly left seven innocent lives dead along Benin-Auchi road. My fear is that when attackers no longer respect the "anointing' or 'oil' on religious leaders ( be it Muslims or Christians) in a nation, such a country is heading toward anarchy.

Sadly, this attack on Apostle Suleman has once again revealed the cracks, disunity, selfishness, and hypocrisy in Christendom in Nigeria. I give it to my Muslim brothers, by now they would have issued statements standing by their own, condemning the attack and giving an ultimatum to security operatives to investigate, expose and arrest the perpetrators and their sponsors…

Sadly, till now I have not seen any comment or statement openly by any Christian association or leadership over this barbaric act. My concern is not majorly about the Apostle who survived the ordeal because as a man of God I am sure he is always ready for the uneventful, but the unlucky seven souls and the psychological trauma of the Apostle's family members who according to some reports were with him in the car.

However, I might be wrong this time or maybe I am in a rush. Still, time will tell to see the reactions of Christian leaders and their association on the spate of insecurities plaguing this country which sadly almost claimed one of their very own, Apostle Suleman.

However, I will give it to the security operatives who responded swiftly to the attacks which according to reports led to the death or arrest of one of the perpetrators. Nonetheless, until we begin to focus attention on the security sectors, and pump more money into the branding, upgrading, and acquisition of the latest software on security rather than on politics and politicians, the falcon won't be able to hear the falconer, things will fall apart and the center won't be able to hold it again.

Religion / T.B Joshua's Protégé, Evangelist Frank Harvey Logan, Calms Raging Hurricane Ian by GlobalNews2020: 9:21pm On Sep 30, 2022
T.B Joshua's Protégé, Evangelist Frank Harvey Logan, Calms Raging Hurricane Ian

Against the frightening forecast of meteorologists who had warned that Hurricane Ian would ruthlessly hit the Tampa Bay region of the state of Florida, God, through His servant, Evangelist Frank Harvey Logan, commanded the raging storm to recede, in the mighty name of Jesus!

Residents of Tampa had nursed the fears of coming under the catastrophic rage of one of nature’s most violent storms until God’s servant, evangelist Frank, was moved by the Holy Spirit to forestall what would have been a disastrous experience for them in 100 years.

Equipped with God’s anointing and the omniscient unction of the Holy Spirit, evangelist Frank dared the frightening odds and went straight to the water in the Tampa Bay region, taking the fight to the storm and commanding it to flee the region, in the mighty name of Jesus! Quoting from the book of Mark 4:13, he said: “Jesus arose and rebuked the wind and spoke peace to the sea and said, ‘Peace, be still’ and the winds ceased and there was a great calm.

Right now, I stand on the same authority, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and I speak to the storm of Ian, peace, be still, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. You are not welcome to Tampa. You are not here to steal, kill and destroy. Therefore, every assignment of darkness over this land is cancelled, in the mighty name of Jesus! I cover this land with the precious blood of Jesus! I cover it with the fire of the Holy Ghost!

Testifying to the great miracle, residents of Tampa, including the Mayor, Jane Castor, thanked God for sparing them from the wrath of Hurricane Ian. “We don’t have any report of death in the direct path of Hurricane Ian”, she told the media.

Other residents who spoke also expressed their gratitude to God for saving their city from Hurricane Ian after the prayer of evangelist Frank. A resident, by name Nissi, said:
“Tampa is so lucky; we got spared from major damage from the hurricane.” For Teresa Gee, another resident, she said: “We thank God. Tampa was actually spared from a direct hit by Hurricane Ian.”

Evangelist Frank, a protégé of the late world-famous Prophet TB Joshua, has maintained that his ministry, Faith Hope & Love Ministries, Tampa, Florida, will continue to depend on God’s direction and power to answer the fundamental questions of life. For him, God, through His son, Jesus Christ, and the instrumentality of the Holy Spirit, remains the ultimate solution to the problems of this troubled world.

Testimony galore in Oneness In Christ ministry

Testimonies are proof of the power of God. Here are a number of testimonies out of many, of what God has done for his people through his servant, Prophet Kingsley Oladapo Aitafo, The shepherd of Oneness in Christ.

Number 1:  We were in a live video session on Instagram and the lady called and the spirit of Jesus Christ said tell her to get water and pray for her , I did and told her for three Friday and one Sunday go to any church and ask them to give you water with bell , so after one month she came and said pastor I was the one you prayed for , I called you from India that day , after I drank the water I started seeing stains of blood and it didn’t stop and I had to go to the hospital to do full abdominal scan , and I was told that miraculously that the fibroid I have been battling with since three years dissolved by itself .

The lady complained to her friend in the Uk , that there is this abnormal growth in her throat and it’s shameful and she has tried all her best nothing change and she called me and I said go and buy anointing oil and call me , she bought and called me around 10pm and I was tired and I said open the bottle and leave it beside your bed and call me in the morning, she said why , I said Jesus Christ will visit in the midnight, so the next morning she called me and I said it is sanctified. She drank and after 1 week she called her friend , she said thank God I bought the oil myself , each time I drink it , I feel pepper at that spot and since then it reduced finally .

He called and said they have loaded the vessel ready for destination but all they could feel is that something is holding it down and it can’t move , and he said they have got engineers to check but nothing , I said humorously the Bible said it clear , underneath are the everlasting arms of God ,in 1hr go there it will have move by it

Jesus Christ did it .

Number 19: The young boy came and said somebody gave me your number to call you , what is the problem , he said if he sleep even if it’s 10 minutes, he will have release in his body , he said even if he sleep at night , he must have release in his body twice and it has been happening for three months , I started to laugh , this boy you have slept with a spirit , I prayed for him and reconciled him to Jesus Christ and that was the end . Jesus Christ delivered him .

Let us rest assured, a myriad of God’s Heavenly angels are already stationed in every corner of the Stadium ready to deliver that package of blessings to each and everyone who attends the Botswana for Christ with Wiseman Daniel.

Business / Final Part On The Other Side By Roli Hazel Oburoh by GlobalNews2020: 2:57pm On Sep 01, 2022
Second part.
I would have said I missed you but you wouldn’t believe me. How has it been?. Really, how is everything?. How is your dad?. I hear he was terribly sick. So sorry. It’s sad you know, to hear this from other people considering how close we used to be. I was thinking about it the other day and I caught myself smiling. Thinking about us is never pleasant still I smile. It strange, we shared so much. And there’s so much to laugh about, but there’s always “this” one. The guy with the dirty “fair”. I’m certain his light complexion wasn’t honestly unattractive. Our bias was sentimental. Hidden love is hatred after all. He was all you talked about then. And there was one I talked about too. And on one day, the two of us, sitting on the books we brought to night class to read, talking about them, they passed us. The two of them. One with his “dirty fair”, the other looking like dragon fly. It’s not the way it happened that makes me still smile, it’s the speed at which my “Gala” wrap and your “naked bread” found their way to your bag. We laughed for almost two hours after. Or was it when, you remember that guy, what was his name again? with his upside down triangle head that said we acted like lesbians only because you constantly used me as an excuse to get away from his mouth odour. That I’m sure was not sentiment. It’s okay, I forgive you. He detested the hold I had over you. He told me himself. He liked me and thought I was funny, he also told me that himself. He was probably telling me those things to get on my good book and in turn yours. He knew I had your ears. But that was in the past, I doubt you’d be able to sit through a ten minutes conversation now. So much has happened. Intensity. Bad blood. It’s unrecognizable what has become of our friendship.
You must be wondering why I decided to write this now. To make amends you imagine, or a sort of justification for my conscience. Honestly, No. I’m just curious. Usually people are curious for answers, because of unresolved emotions, despite unanswered questions and maybe too much doubt, too much fear and far too many people. But not me. I’m curious for how this meets you. Your reaction when you read this, when you see me again through this pages. That is what makes me curious, for even my own feelings, my expectations, my relief and hope when this is over. I hear you’re seeing someone now. I’m impressed honestly. You were by far one of the most beautiful girls in our class, still I was sure you would never like anyone, being called into full time ministry and all. Lord, no one seemed to catch your fancy. Not a rich lawyer, an average PhD student, our classmates, even the pastors on the vineyard of the lord which you served. It was another funny memory. But what was most funny was when someone did. Or did he?.
You were terrified and you called me, your words were difficult to “follow”. I mostly heard prophecy, threats, future husband and church. So I put them together. Oh how I laughed and even injured myself which you took as “another sign” from the lord. I’m glad that is all in the past. So you’re dating someone? I hear he’s a fine man in his thirties and quite tenacious in catching them young for the Lord. I hope you’re happy. But please, permit my curiousity to extend a bit to the topic I vowed not to bring up.The only question I think I’m curious to get an answer to. Why him?. Why did you fancy him above the numerous advances you get. Why did you decide it would be him?. I guess in reality what I’m really asking Is why you do the things you do. Why you did some things my mind has refused to accept but don’t worry I wouldn’t stretch that far. I’ll take it your answer, if any, if you choose to reply this letter, would give me a clue so as to satisfy all other curiousity. My emotions are all over the place, another curious thing but, what really did he do to get you to like him. Of all the guys you met, we met, Destiny would have been a good match. I was certain. There’s nothing he didn’t do to get you to recipocrate his affection. Almost threatened you and your friends, me. You refused and you were adamant, swearing by the God of heaven and a few others that you did not and could never like him. So in our fourth year in the university, we sat to talk. It’s strange through, him and I, talking. But it was one thing that led to the other. First, suya that he bought, boredom that never departed from law Faculty and curiousity to hear what the other had to say. There was a moment. He was candid and vulnerable and I could see his heart for you. He didn’t deny his affection for you. Personally I believe him the most noble man, decency you would never admit exists in him. It’s fine. But there’s something between us. I can’t explain it. I believe him. If anything, when he talked about you, he was glowing.
My emotions are still all over the place. So I’m no longer big on movies. I find them too predictable these days. Still, I saw one recently, it reminded me of the time we went to the cinema close to school and had to go back to the hostel almost midnight. How stupid. To pass that “bank” road. And more stupid because I was the only one wearing a penciled skirt. If “anything” had happened, you would have had another testimony of the faithfulness of God to have escaped yet another molestation. Thankfully, nothing happened. But something about the movie and the thought of molestation made me nostalgic. It reminded me of Destiny and the notorious molestation episode. Notorious because it wasn’t the first but something about it stood out. How could he molest you?, was the version we heard. He had his own version too, not many people heard it. It was not too different from yours, just some extra details that did not include you running for dear life with hints of you enjoying it. Otherwise how did you relate the story to a few others that same night and not too far from the spot?. It’s all good, was his conclusion . All is fair in love and war. But you, you told your truth you said, God will vindicate his own, you said.
In the midst of “all the whole” back and forth I came to understand that the story never quite made its way to your church. Your esteemed church leaders never heard anything. The fear of the loss of purity may have driven you far from them but did it also drive you far from me?, from telling me the truth?. He never got over it or it seemed he would never get over it, but he did, but he “didn’t”. That’s all in the past now, you should see his babe, you would trip. She’s exactly right for him, I wish them the very best. I saw them once, wearing something like matching outfit. I believe his happy. I believe him, still. What’s that thing people have in their eyes when they are in love?. Glitters. I think I saw some.
It still makes me worry. Why you did the things you did. Why you bothered lying and on someone who meant nothing to you. Why I was a late comer to your sexual escaped. Seeing our second year which was a pact (an oath really the way you handled it) to sanctification was also a season of love and self discovery for you, with Ben. I wasn’t hurt you lied to me, you were lying to me or that I heard from Ben three years later. It made me wonder why you did the things you did. But that wasn’t all. How you saw prophecies about being the next “Mummy GO” in your fellowship and ‘married’ that with sharing a bed ( pun intended) with Ben. Also in the month of our fasting and sanctification. It’s just something. But a second part of my decision to write you aside projecting my hurt to you and trivializing things as important as rape, because that is what you would say. I know it’s how you think. And like the next chapter I’m about to bring in, you also think I’m presumptuous. So yes, you would say, has my struggle with depression brought me this low as to project. No it’s not that I think like you. It’s not that I think it’s true or that there’s even a nagging feeling or any feeling at all that makes me think so. It’s that I know how you think.
For the next chapter, I wrote him again. Angry, aggressive messages I shouldn’t even think of but I did and wrote him. Him, the one you didn’t like and didn’t see what people saw in him despite his obvious charms and conspicuous academic achievements being the only first class graduate in final year. But Jesus, what did people see in him?. You were genuinely concerned and disturbed and you hated him, you said so yourself. I tried to make you see him differently. I wasn’t paid but I tried. I understood, did not understand, but understood your irritation. So I pacified. I was only mildly surprised you kissed him the first chance you got. The literal first time you spoke with him alone. This, after you hated him, you said so yourself. This, after, I loved him, you said so yourself. I wasn’t upset, I just wondered why you did the things you did.
So I wrote him and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. After he did me a solid by letting me be. And it really had nothing to do with you, the hate messages but I thought of you. It maybe had something to do with me making my message public for the first thing and spotting a comment you made twenty five minutes earlier which he noticeably ignored. That’s beside the point. I had hopes writing you would help me stop sending hate messages. He did do me a favour anyway. It’s been seven months and I still think about him. It’s been almost nine month and you’re still everywhere on his Instagram. Your feelings are all over the place and so am I. And I thought to reconnect.

ON THE OTHER SIDE

A short story by Roli Hazel Oburoh

It's been a hard year for everyone, so you're told. You're told because you hardly keep in "check" with the outside world anymore. You used to write in journals, like two years ago. Always wanted to keep everything on record. Then you just stopped. It didn't seem worth it anymore. You filled in every blank page of that overly decorated pink book and one day you set it ablaze, literally.

You felt like you were scribbling down those "wildered" experiences because you needed an outlet, you needed to make sense to your senses what you were experiencing. You were in reality trying to put the bits you could "see" together.

It wasn't clear then what you were really doing. Between the pain filled incomprehensible letters to God and the solitary campaigns you drafted for yourself; your self discovery freedom speech and the endless autobiographies met for no one in particular, you "was" trying to fill up a hunger.
At first, you pressed endlessly into Yahweh thinking your hunger came from a need to commune closely with the creator. Then with the hate, anger and feeling of betrayal that followed, you pressed into your career. When it became unbearable, the void, you pressed for love. You thought that had to be it. That hunger, it was always there. No conversation long enough, no food tasty enough, no song sad enough could reach in deep.

There was a time, you tried, not too well to bury it in. You could wear neat clothes, brush your hair, maybe teeth and walk on like you had you all in control. That didn't last very long. When the darkness tore you apart from inside, suppressing made it more difficult, it surfaced. It was everywhere. The pain, the tears glued to your eyelid in broad day light, the unkept look, the unkempt hair, it didn't take more to give you away.

It wasn't just Satan's blow; the literal feeling of being feast for a pack of hungry demons, the hurtful assertions of Jesus's hate, the massive weight of depression, the conscious fight to retain your faith, your sincerity, your heart. It was hard. The change could slip in and out without will, the suicidal thoughts. No it wasn't just that.

It also wasn't just the mockery, the pity and betrayal you felt from friends, the attacks and set-up you didn't even realise were there. What wasn't clear about it? The conversations with, the experiences with, and the hate adding up to the same thing? Was that bleak? No.

It was that you were too blind to see, too wrapped up in being a lost cause that you didn't notice you were the very center of an epic Hollywood movie. Finally, your cherished illusions and delusions and presumptions have caught up with you and you are finally almost mad.

And one day you just got tired. Tired of feeling sorry for yourself, tired of wanting to be seen, tired of being asked what your fucking problem was? . Babe, you have everything. If I had half what you had, you'll only see me through show-glass, they would say. So you stopped running and started fighting.
It wasn't easy at first. Very miserable first attempts if you might add. Still, you tried. You stopped waiting "for" Jesus to come down and pick you up, you started looking to be strong.
Let's say, you started with the looks. Early two hours morning inconveniences, endless grooming on YouTube and the relatives you made on Instagram who didn't even know you.

And then, with the renewed excitement for life and what the future held, you did it. You were ready. Ready to step into the world and conquer. If it got too hard, well, you had a new circle of friends to pull you through. It was follow come with the glam just in case you were wondering how

that happened. That was it, you thought.
See, in this narrative from zero to hero, you sometimes forget to chip in that a huge part of your "elevation" is credited, I'm sure you meant inspired, by your encounter with a certain person. The thing about being played is that you don't realise how deep you are in the story line. Every

plot twist, every angle, every line even recess time is determined by the players. And this certain someone was the player. The beginning of a new chapter you could never have seen. A different kind of scheme, an era of a different kind of misery, pun intended. And a higher quality of pain, if you prefer.
You could accredit this to life or nature or truth or the compensation of goodness or the consolidation prize of sadness or whatever. In reality, it is really just Yahweh. Satan might be an excellent manipulator and "that" was meant to destroy you but you see, God is a perfect strategist.
Pain is cruel but what is more cruel is not realising you're in pain. And while you struggled with the long suffering of unrecipocrated love, the diversions he brought into your life, the more vivid interruptions that was him and him alone and the ever abiding gut feeling that something just wasn't right about him, you convinced yourself it was okay. It was afterall, he was afterall, better than a perpetual feeling of defeat that wasn't lacking in your "earlier" oppression. At least, this rat could blow your feet while he fed on you.

So you started to prepare for him to tell you how much you were a waste of space, he told you were beautiful, intelligent and even stupid you, manipulative. Aren't you the queen of hearts now. For him to tell you he was in love with someone that could never look like you because they were better, he told you he saw only you. He didn't really say that to be sincere, but he stayed six hours with you on that cold white faculty bench and laughed at all your biting boring jokes. So your friends enforced your cherished illusions again but now you were no longer almost mad. You were happy. "You think a guy would spend so much time with you if he didn't love you. He doesn't have other things to do? It's just, he can't help it. He wants to be with you" they would say, sounding stupid and smiling silly. But you were happy. And they were happy for you.

So you waited and he didn't do any of the things you expected, again, you grew tired. Tired of waiting for doom. Tired of not growing tired with him. Tired of knowing you were halfway under and still not feeling subdued because it was him. Tired of knowing you were in an arena but too crippled by love to fight. And this new "captor" grew weary with the futile resistance, mine obviously not his. He restrategized. And one Monday morning you wake up and you realise you're surrounded by enemies and traitors.

Politics / Ambassador Buratai, A Certified Peace Expert, Offers Anecdotes To End Global C by GlobalNews2020: 1:57pm On Aug 30, 2022
Ambassador Buratai, A Certified Peace Expert, Offers Anecdotes To End Global Crises {Full Speech}

Decades of incongruous beliefs amongst humanity have birthed different shades of subversive and counter militant forces across the globe. In some important respects, these anti human forces have formed lives of their own.
According to the Council on Foreign Relations's Global Conflict Tracker, the world was groping with at Least 27 Live Conflicts as of the last count, precisely in April, 2022.
In each case, nuclear arsenals are swelling. Millions are displaced. International law is disregarded with impunity, as criminal and terrorist networks profit from the division and violence.
In Nigeria, for instance, a terrorist group, Boko Haram, spearheaded by Mohammed Yusuf began the group in the year 2002, with a view of opposing western education with his followers. Though Yusuf is dead, Boko Haram, one of the largest Islamist militant groups in Africa has, since 2011, conducted terrorist attacks on religious and political groups, local police, and the military, as well as indiscriminately attacking civilians in busy markets and villages.
In the process, when things appeared to be getting out of control, a Kanuri born Army General, Tukur Yusuf Buratai, with shy mien, mounted the Nigeria’s defence soap box as Chief of Army Staff in 2015 with unmistakable message to the terrorists to quit or get destroyed.
Within a short period, Buratai reclaimed all the territories hitherto occupied by the insurgents. Peace unfolded and investors’ confidence restored.
However, it is not yet Uhuru. Security challenges across the world are unprecedented. Fierce armed gangs of sundry identities have besieged the world from nearly every corner The Nigerian state has a fair share of this tottering institutional embrace of the dark hour.
Against this back drop, the former Army boss now Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Benin, last week, offered anecdotes on how to achieve peace.
His speech, which he personally delivered at a World Peace Symposium in Lagos, where he was honoured as the first title holder of Bearer of Security Torch, is reproduced below:

I want to sincerely appreciate the World Institute for Peace and the organizers of this symposium for identifying me to be its torch bearer. It is humbling on one hand, and gratifying on the other; truly it is an evidence that the efforts of our dear nation and it’s various actors to achieve peace in these tumultuous times have not gone unnoticed, and are appreciated by your esteemed organization. Particularly, being the past Chief of the Army Staff, Nigerian Army which has been at the vanguard of almost all physical efforts at ensuring peace, I am grateful to the institute for this recognition, it is by extension a recognition of the role of the officers and soldiers of our esteemed military in the development of our nation.
From the day the Institute contacted me, I have gone through a moment of reflection on my early days as a young military officer up until my time at the helm of the Army, this has led to several mixed emotions. On one hand, I feel nostalgic for the moments in our history uncharacterized by terrorism and insecurity; on the other, sadness for the victims of insecurity, comrades in arms lost in the battle against insecurity, and their dependents left bereft of their loved ones. However, I am not deterred as I believe peace will be achieved, and we will keep striving. We must always strive to contribute to peace in our societies in whatever capacity we find ourselves. You must contribute either as a medical doctor, a nurse, an engineer, a trader, a barber, a farmer, or a labourer etc.
Following the evergreen words of Robert McNamara which says; “Development means security and without security, there is no development”. This, means that peace is at the heart of national development and advancement, thus highlighting the importance of the core values of the World Institute for Peace and by extension, the relevance of this symposium. The efforts of this organization, and all other organizations that promote peace, are germane to global peace and security.
Peace is not a notion that can be defined in a single sentence. It signifies many things to different people and may be perceived through different lenses; yet, there is a common acceptance that peace denotes the absence of violent conflict. In my years of service as a military officer up until my position as the Chief of Army staff, I have had the privilege of being an genuine participant in the quest for peace in Africa and Nigeria- from insurgency, terrorism, farmer-herder clashes, militancy, riots, Angola civil war, and the Bakasi War… to mention but a few. The Nigerian constitution recognises the Police Force as the primary institution tasked with the responsibility of handling internal security. However, the rise of Boko Haram in 2009 signaled a shift in the nature of internal strife in Nigeria, necessitating a shift in strategy. As a result, the military, particularly the Army, was thrown into the spotlight, and this has progressively become the norm, with the military increasingly playing a role in internal security management. My contributions to the peace initiative stand as proof on their own, as an officer and in the many roles I performed in the Army. As a young Captain I was opportuned to participate in UN Peacekeeping/Observer Mission under the auspices of the United Nations Angola Verification Mission II (UNAVEM II) from 1993 – 1994. It was my first contribution to the global UN Peace initiative. As the commander of the newly reconstituted MNJTF, I worked hard to strategise and planned the fight against the Boko Haram Terrorists group that almost engulfed the Lake Chad Basin countries. The roles played by Nigeria, AU and Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC) were so strategic in bringing about the relative peace being enjoyed now. But during my tenure as Chief of Army Staff, one of my main objectives was to strengthen the interplay between the government's kinetic and non-kinetic strategies in bringing about security and peace for our nation Nigeria.
The past years have also illuminated the importance of diplomacy, discourse, and the role of the community in achieving security. Religious leaders, traditional leaders, security personnel, political leaders, and the general citizenry have a part to play in achieving security in Nigeria and by extension the world.
I have also encountered another variable that is equally as important as the others highlighted above: ' Justice”. Justice according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary is the establishment or determination of rights according to the rules of law or equity. It is the conformity and the administration of what is right based on the law.
I believe that we can go a step further as a society. Our approach to handling these issues needs to be improved. Leaving it firmly in the hands of security agents is not completely working, we need to apply a structural functionalist approach to insecurity in Nigeria. All of us need to identify our parts in ensuring peace. Divisive elements have to be struck out, it is us against insecurity, therefore insecurity is the enemy. It is not a matter of Hausa, Igbo, or Yoruba. It is not a matter of Christian or Muslim, it is Nigeria against insecurity. Therefore, we have to be tolerant and alert. Irregularities in our neighborhoods have to be reported. The religious and traditional leaders have to preach tolerance and respect for others, and the political leaders need to make informed decisions. In this way, we can push down insecurity and achieve actual justice and eventual peace for our fallen heroes, brothers, sisters, fathers, uncles and husbands.
Following my exit from active service, I am fortunate, the leadership of His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari was gracious to appoint me as an Ambassador to positively portray the country’s image globally. This task I have set to carry it out judiciously since my appointment. I thank President Muhammad Buhari for giving me the privilege to serve as an ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Now a look at the global peace and security situations. According to UNICEF, from Ukraine to Yemen, conflict is taking a devastating toll. Nuclear arsenals are swelling. Conflict is on the rise. Millions are displaced. International law is disregarded with impunity, as criminal and terrorist networks profit from the division and violence. This is the situation the world finds itself in today.
10. The reasons for the outbreak of conflicts range from territorial disputes and regional tensions, to corruption and dwindling resources due to climate change. Conflicts disrupt access to basic services like food and water, and force people into extreme poverty, with the poorest and the most vulnerable paying the highest price. In addition to taking lives and devastating infrastructure in the short term, conflict and its consequences are profound and enduring, reversing progress towards achieving the Global Goals.
The current humanitarian crisis in Ukraine may be in the spotlight right now, but there are many conflicts occurring globally that deserve equal support and compassion. According to the Council on Foreign Relations’s Global Conflict Tracker, there are currently 27 ongoing conflicts worldwide. The tracker categorizes conflict into three groups: “worsening,” “unchanging,” and “improving.” Right now, there’s not a single conflict described as “improving.” Of those worsening are the conflict in Ukraine, the war in Afghanistan, political instability in Lebanon, the war in Yemen, the Rohingya crisis in Myanmar, and the conflict in Ethiopia. Other conflict areas and their impact include Sudan—Political tensions amid regional drought and conflict. Syria—Economic crisis compounds a decade of war. Somalia—Humanitarian access worsens as needs rise. Myanmar—Violent deadlock leaves millions in need. Democratic Republic of Congo—Conflict and disease compound crisis. South Sudan—Regional tensions raise risks. Nigeria—Growing insecurity across the country. Yemen—Cumulative impact of protracted conflict.
The UN has warned that peace is more under threat around the world than it has been since World War II. A quarter of the entire global population lives in conflict-affected areas. Some of the worst affected places are Ethiopia's Tigray region, South Sudan, Syria, Yemen, and Afghanistan. According to the UN, last year, 84 million people were forcibly displaced because of conflict, violence, and human rights violations. This year, it is estimated that at least 274 million people will need humanitarian assistance.
Nearly 11 years after it started, the Syrian refugee crisis remains the largest displacement crisis worldwide (13.2 million, including 6.6 million refugees and more than 6 million internally displaced people). At least 2 million people are living in tented camps with limited access to basic services. The beginning of the war in Syria dates back to the Arab Spring — a series of anti-authoritarian protests, uprisings, and rebellions that spread across several Middle Eastern countries in the early 2010s.
Lasting more than 60 years, the conflict in Myanmar (previously called Burma) remains the longest ongoing civil war in the world. The country has been plagued by decades of repressive military rule and civil war with ethnic minority groups since 1948, the year the country gained independence from the UK. Nearly 880,000 Rohingya refugees have fled the country. The most vulnerable, including pregnant women, babies, children, and the elderly have been forced to travel for days to reach safety in Bangladesh. Today, they live in the world’s largest and most densely populated refugee camp, Kutupalong. Around half of those refugees are children.
According to the Institute for Economics & Peace the 10 most conflict-affected countries lose, on average, 41% of their GDP. The cost of war is almost unfathomable. In addition to the human suffering, social unrest and damage to infrastructure, the burden of war also impacts conflict-affected countries’ economies.
According to Franck Bousquet, the senior director of Fragility, Conflict and Violence (FCV) Group at the World Bank, wrote in an article for the New Humanitarian, that conflict drives 80% of humanitarian needs and in 2016, the cost of conflict globally stood at an astonishing $14 trillion. That’s enough to end world hunger 42 times over. Just imagine what the world could do with that money if conflicts were to end worldwide.
With all the above negative consequences of conflicts and crises around the world, peace is the ultimate solution. I shall use this opportunity to call on the members of the global community especially the UN and the Super Powers to end all conflicts around the world and bring lasting peace to humanity. Let there be peace, security and development in our world. Enough of the deaths, human sufferings and underdevelopment around the world.
In conclusion, I understand that with this Torch comes great responsibility. As a career soldier, I dedicated my life to the defense of my nation and its people and by extension the entrenchment of peace within Nigeria, West Africa, and of course Africa and the world. The responsibility with this conferment is not just to continue what has been my lifelong duty to restore peace, but also now ensure that I am a forerunner in championing causes and initiatives geared toward achieving national, regional and global peace.
Once again, I express my profound gratitude to the World Institute for Peace and the program's organizers for choosing me to be a torch bearer. Even though I am a retired general, my active commitment to bringing about peace in Nigeria and the world does nothing but solidify my determination. I thank Ambassador Lamina, the Chairman CEO of the World Institute for Peace in putting this programme together in my honour. I appreciate all the special speakers who spoke via Zoom. I also thank and appreciate all our international and local participants who are physically here and those who join us via Zoom.
Lastly, in our collective pursuit of world peace, we must be conscious of the fact that “victory comes from God alone”.
I thank you all.

Global News Discovered that all has gone sour between popular celestial prophet, Israel Oladele AKA Genesis and his spiritual mother, Rev Mother Esther Ajayi. This was evident in the recent outburst of the prophet during a live service at his church.

Prophet Genesis who didn’t directly mention Esther Ajayi’s name started by saying a woman he respects a lot abandoned him when he was in trouble despite the fact that he served her diligently.

He continued by saying the ‘woman’ gave deceased Yoruba actor, Baba Suwe the sum of N10 Million and supported young orange seller who did a cover of Tope Alabi’s song but never bothered to render help to him when he needed it.

It would be recalled that Rev Esther Ajayi went viral for giving Baba Suwe N10 million and for helping the young orange seller last year.

Genesis made it known that Esther Ajayi has shown that she isn’t a woman of God with the singular act of abandoning him. He also explained that she has removed his pictures from her church since the tribulations began.

While revealing some secrets, Prophet Israel Oladele Genesis mentioned that the same thing that happened to him happened to Esther Ajayi but he was the one who covered up for her and prevented her from suffering what he suffered.

Furthermore, he warned her not to reply him because he will expose more secrets about her.

‘’I will not say it secretly, she just showed that she is not a woman of God, she helped people but I that serve her, She couldn’t help me when I got into trouble.’’

‘’What happened to me happened to you but I covered up for you, I am not scared of death or anything, I don’t need any friend.’’

‘’You are a woman, you know my mother, I was not even surprised when you said you had a dream about me in the midst of herbalists, it simply means you are one of them too.’’

‘’You better don’t reply me, if you do, it will be very disastrous than Oba Solomon.’’no

How Wiseman Daniel Accurately Predicted Ruto's Emergence As Kenyan President (Video)

When God speaks, the wise listens. Wiseman Daniel whose real name is Daniel Emelandu Udochukwu has been proven that the prophetic mantle from late Senior prophet T.B Joshus has fallen on the wisemen including him with the confirmation of his prophecy on the just concluded Kenyan presidential election.

On May 8th, 2022, Wiseman Daniel has stated in a video made available to us that William Ruto will win the election.

The man of God, said on 8th of May 2022 during a Sunday service on Elohim Ministry. ( You can get the video on Youtube, Facebook) that:

1. the Kenyan elections will not go the way the *Mountain* has planned it.

2. *KENYA* flag flying in a different dimension

3. One side of the Flag, a letter between *V* & *X*= *William*

4. Another side of the flag, a letter between *Q* & *S* = *Ruto*

Interestingly just as he predicted, the outgoing president came from the Mount Kenya region, he tried to support the Right Honourable former Prime Minister but he didn't make it to the throne.

Secondly, missing letters represent William Ruto.

The Deputy President of Kenya, William Ruto has been declared winner of the country’s close-fought presidential election.

Some commissioners had rejected the results of the just concluded election.

Chairman of the country’s Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, Wafula Chebukati made the declaration on Monday.

According to him, Ruto had won almost 7.18 million votes (50.49 percent) against 6.94 million (48.85 percent) for his rival Raila Odinga in the August 9 vote.

William Ruto has won the race to be the fifth president of the East African nation, according to results announced by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

RE Keyamo: How Not To Be a Spokesman

By Sly Ikechukwu

I read with utter disappointment a concocted opinion piece authored by one Phrank Shaibu with the aforementioned headline. In the rather toxic piece, Shaibu, a known political hustler, renowned content thief and plagiarist oozed such a strong sense of rage and bitterness, much to the chagrin of many astute Nigerians.

The reason for which Phrank Shaibu and his allies chose to respond to Keyamo's assertions was not out of concern for Nigerian citizens or out of love for Nigerian students caught up in the ASUU/FG crisis, but rather because the Minister stated unequivocally that the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar had never held an executive position that would have qualified him for the job in 2023.

Without clothing him in a borrowed apparel, it is a statement of fact that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, has never held any executive position in Nigeria till date and whatever decisions or policies implemented between 1999 and 2007 were unquestionably approved and sanctioned by only one Commander In Chief, Olusegun Obasanjo GCFR on whose table the buck stops.

The aforementioned, a statement of fact which Keyamo reiterated formed basis for Phrank Shaibu's tirade against the person of the erudite Senior Advocate, who is well-respected for his exceptional brilliance and mental soundness.

My first knowledge of Phrank Shaibu dates back on Sunday, September 23, 2012 when I chanced on an article on Daily Trust Newspaper, written by renowned Professor of Journalism, Farook Kperogi, describing him as not only an intellectual thief but also a “nakedly transparent fraudster” who often plagiarized the former’s Grammar Column.

No doubt, every election season throws up all manner of political hacks that traffic in a one-way lane already strewn with shipwrecked characters that operated on reverse osmosis thinking of decency and societal good. The result is that history not only repeats itself, but it matches.

So, when Olorogun Festus Keyamo, SAN, FCIArb UK, the Nigerian Minister of State for Labour and Productivity was announced as the Campaign Spokesperson of the ruling Party, All Progressive Congress (APC) for the 2023 presidential election, the derangement syndrome that it caused in the opposition camps was surprising but not unexpected.

Leading the opposition cyber militias to express the trepidation in their camp was one social media hack or prankster with no fixed address who goes by the name Phrank “prank” Shuaibu. In 2019, after all effort to pitch his tenth with President Buhari’s campaign team failed like crumbled cookies, Shaibu surfaced in Atiku’s camp and began to spool some crap in the media space.

In his chameleonic signature, yet again Phrank Shaibu wasted no time in showing how scared the major opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is, by frontally attacking the introductory media interface by the Honourable Minister after he was appointed Spokesperson, not on seminal issues but purely hybridization of facts and also, trying to obfuscate the picture of the Minister’s interview, albeit, poorly.

It is worthy of note that Festus Keyamo has a mandate, borne out of an eloquent testimony of verifiable performance record which the naysayers cannot assail. He will not be distracted from the objective, which is to market the APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to the enthusiastic and well-informed electorate of Nigeria. Hence, he will not dwell on Phrank’s uncouth manners, intemperate disposition and Nollywood theatrics but focus on the onerous mandate to tell Nigerians the congenial qualities of his principal, which sets him apart from other pretenders and political prostitutes.

If performance is the yardstick for measuring success, then Festus Keyamo, SAN, is indeed a campaign spokesman to beat and the opposition is aware of this fact. He is a tested and effective campaign spokesperson who needs no introduction to Nigerians as his entire life and career has been in public space.

Also, his outstanding performance contributed immensely in terms of political communications and reputation management to President Muhammadu Buhari's reelection in 2019. The outstanding performance record undoubtedly played a pivotal role in Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu's choice to re-hire him for the same position, going into the general elections of 2023.

Even though the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) hasn't formally pronounced the campaign season to the open, it is broadly acknowledged that the different political parties are already working hard unobtrusively in the background, to promote their candidates. And the emergence of Keyamo as the leading Spokesperson of the APC campaign machinery is apt and has been roundly applauded as a good choice, as he’s well apprised of the contending issues of our polity.

Many discerning Nigerians were therefore taken aback a few days ago, when an opinion post with the authorship of one Phrank Shaibu entitled "Keyamo: How Not To Be a Spokesman" first appeared online a few days ago.
In the aforementioned article, Shaibu who was in a hurry to disparage the reputation of the learned silk and further questioned his suitability to serve as the All Progressives Congress - APC's campaign spokesperson dished out loads of fallacies, including exposing his ignorance or blatant disregard for the Nigerian constitution in public domain.

Shaibu’s outburst is sequel to an interview Keyamo granted Channels Television days back. During the interview, Keyamo marshalled out reasons why he thought that the PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar is not the candidate to beat in the forthcoming 2023 election.
He also bared his mind on the lingering ASUU strike among other issues, saying that he subscribed private individuals weighing in and if need be, even for parents to beg ASUU to sheath the sword. His passionate and unbiased analysis of the ASSU saga surely revealed the Hon. Minister’s inner feelings of empathy for the university students and their parents.

As a product of the system and a known advocate of the masses of Nigerian whose own family members also surfer the adverse effect of this unfortunate situation, Keyamo merely expressed a harmless opinion which himself was willing to champion as a parent. But regrettably, it hit Shuaibu and his paymasters on the wrong chord.
It’s lamentable the inability of some political communication jobbers to communicate effectively principles that will unite Nigerians from all regions into a cohesive democratic force but instead resorted to elevated propaganda, demagoguery and falsehood of what a true Nigerian President should represent beyond their parochial interpretation of programmatic thrust.

“Prank’ Shuaibu should realize that it’s not easy to shape his institutionalized memory of his vile against the APC in his futile attempt to twist Keyamo’s comments and hoodwink intelligent Nigerians as to the presidential candidate who has gathered more political IOUs in Nigeria other than Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the quintessential Jagaban.

Fake News! Ignore The Old Video, Gov. Abdulrazaq Was Not Booed!

Click-bait and sensational headlines are the order of the day in blogosphere. The aim is to trigger emotional responses from the reader and drive traffic to blogs.

Alas, this has made it very difficult to distinguish between what is real and what is false in today’s world.

Thus, no time is more auspicious than now for the advocates of fact-checking to intensify on their crusade in order to stem the increasing damage of fake news. We are in an age when nitwits take advantage of the anonymity of the internet to punch their keypads, come up with utter balderdash and disseminate widely as contents all in a bid to set cyberspace into a virtual conflagration.

It is the propagation of such fake news that the advocates of content censorship always point to, to amplify their voices for censorship. While censorship stifles the freedom of speech, no efforts should be spared to nip the activities of fifth columnists whose stock in trade is concoction and dissemination of falsehood.

The proponents and purveyors of deliberate falsehood and fake news have revved their machine back to life again. Alas, their target is the intrepid Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State. An old video has resurfaced showing the governor purportedly being booed off the stage by a raucous crowd.

Acutely aware that fake news poses a corrosive existential threat to democracy and governance, Governor Abdulrazaq, who said he is neither shocked by the slant of the narrative nor shaken by the gimmicks of the opposition, has decided to set the records straight for posterity.

According to Alhaji Bashir Adigun, Special Adviser, Political Communication to the Governor, the video was that of an event held on December 26, 2018, by the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) at the Emir’s Palace, which was allegedly disrupted by thugs and supporters of former Senate President Bukola Saraki. The governor who was a candidate then attended the event as a special guest of his home community association.
.

Adigun stated, “Attached to the video (they tried to trend now) is a caption that the governor was booed at Kwara State Polytechnic, which is false. No event took place in Kwara Polytechnic on August 7, 2022, to warrant the governor being there.
“It is well known that this riotous and disrespectful action by Saraki supporters was the last straw that caused the Sarakis’ loss of every single elective seat in Kwara at the 2019 elections.

“Those who trended the video desperately meant to send the signal that an incumbent governor was being booed. That probably misled the wrong audience. For the Kwara audience, however, the video did the opposite. It reminded them of the terrible old days when anyone who held different views was treated with contempt and harassed by thugs loyal to the deposed dynasty.”

Adigun stated further that the video came at a wrong moment in history because the past three years of the AbdulRazaq administration have seen Kwara enjoying unprecedented peace and security while scheduled flights to the city of Ilorin have quadrupled. The latter achievement, he added, enabled all Ilorin sons and daughters and residents of the capital city to enjoy a very peaceful Eid and a joyous Durbar where the governor and other dignitaries rode on horses along with the Emir amidst a cheering crowd. “Such events were never held peacefully in those dark years,” he quipped. Adigun urged the public to ignore the old video clip, which he described as propaganda gone awry.

Indeed, until the Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq era, Kwara State faded like a limp flower. Hitherto coveted for its promising blooms, the state wilted to inept leadership. Viewed up-close and from a distance, the state, otherwise noted for its resource endowment and visual and structural harmonies, splayed in spent glory.

It foundered and strained in weariness under the yoke of mis-governance. Sixteen years of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) – comprising eight years each of Bukola Saraki and Abdulfattah Ahmed’s governorship – did a fine number on Kwara; they met a promising state and left it wretched. Inadequate health facilities, substandard education, scarce water supply, and a dying economy among others, rendered the state a shadow of the titan it was supposed to be.

However, with a deft combination of courage, compassion, and confidence in his vision, Governor Abdulrazaq is rewriting the story of Kwara State, governing humanely while steadily changing the people’s fortunes.
