McWhillion: When I say blind, you're taking it literally and I am not airing my personal opinion like you said. Read the following;
2Cor 3:14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
Until you start seeing things the way God sees it, then you're still blind.
This is NOT my opinion... i didn't take the blindness aspect literarily.......I'll still go with my previous post... |

charlie2014: Who sat and watched my infant head When sleeping on my cradle bed, And tears of sweet affection shed? My Mother. When pain and sickness made me cry, Who gazed upon my heavy eye, And wept for fear that I should die? My Mother. Who taught my infant lips to pray And love God’s holy book and day, And walk in wisdom’s pleasant way? My Mother. And can I ever cease to be Affectionate and kind to thee, Who wast so very kind to me, My Mother? Ah, no! the thought I cannot bear, And if God please my life to spare I hope I shall reward they care, My Mother. When thou art feeble, old and grey, My healthy arm shall be thy stay, And I will soothe thy pains away, My Mother. Ann Taylor wow... one of the best and inspiring poems in scul |

Emessy: You see ,Please do not be hypocritical in your dealings )with religious issues , In your post you compared the sacrificing of ram like Abraham did(bible, Qur'an and the torah) to the sacrifice of a dog for ogun , you also implied that the way we slaughter is same as that of the idol worshipers ,And also If you really do know Islam as you boast, you will know that Allah has made animals slaughtered by Christians and Jews(According to their scriptures) pure to us and edible, so we have no reason to reject your food , but when it comes to christmas, a muslim has all rights to reject it because even you are also confused about it ,you do not know the truth about what you are celebrating , Bye very true that u slaughter the same way as idol worshippers (sorry to say that just the truth ) about Christians,it is only those that do not know what they believe and read in the Bible that are confused.... besides I'm not here for religious argument.... #just by opinion #....barka de sallah Bro... the blessing of the celebration shall be yours.... keep enjoying |

Oklander: To answer you: God told us to sacrifice. We honour God command to sacrifice, we celebrate in commemoration of Ibraham's sacrifice. The animal is faced in one direction by all Muslims in the world, same direction Muslims face when they pray and God has told us that facing any direction at all doesn't signify righteousness, it is killed by saying in the name of God, what is idolatry all this? Your ignorance! No?
Pretty sure I have answered you, without listing out the idolatry acts of you xtians of which I have no interest, I believe you alrdy know them. And of course, "everyone to his believe", even the Quran says that. 1.I'm not here for religion argument 2. the two religion can never agree 3. I'm not ignorant of all the rites 4. everyone is entitled to his or her belief so barka de sallah.... the blessings entitled to the celebration shall be yours.... enjoy your ileya till tomorrow |

Emessy: Well I did expect you to run away , and My advice to you is when studying someone or something do it with an open heart not because you want to find faults in them , and if you really do know about Islam then deeply in you, you know that comparing the eid festival with ogun festival is not fair and for christmas is you still believe its a xtianic celebration ,then you should study your christianity before approaching Islam , BYE first... ogun.,Islam,Christianity are all religion so comparing them is no mistake second....I said controversial Christmas...I know y I made that statement... simple.. third.... I study not to find faults but to gain knowledge... mind u the Christians have their own too |

Datsme: With ds verses u v quoted, it wil b sincere of u if u can point out d idol dt ileya s associated with. Pls answer wt facts I'm not saying ileya meat is sanctified to idol but the the precepts(the way the animal is killed,the process of killing it) and reasons for the celebration are baseless thereby making it look like an idol.... who are u honouring for killing ram or camel or goat cos God provided it for Abraham to replace his son...are u Abraham?... apart from that the mount u stand on in saudi to become a alhaji are alhaja is baseless......but everyone is entitled to his or her believe sha... no offence please... #just my opinion # |

michaelwestern: Am not really sure if its okay for christians to eat ileya meat. Some people will call it food offered to idols, but the bible permits us to eat any kind of meat. So is it okay to eat ileya meat? the Bible permit us to eat any kind of meat be it dog,cat,snake,cow,chicken e.t.c....but remember the "ileya meat " Is for a purpose....the purpose is what will make u eat it or not... now my question is can a Christian eat dog meat sacrificed to ogun during ogun festival since the Bible permits us to eat any kind of meat....??....let's be careful in our ways as Christians and try to mitigate controversy on simple and straight forward issues....it's only an half baked Muslim that will eat your Christmas food or meat...I know about the religion very very well. ..@just my opinion # |

McWhillion: Shout out to all the blind Christians who are doling out their own self righteousness. You people take the mundane things of this world too seriously. I will have you all know that I am a Christian and I ate Ileya meat like say tomorrow no dey and it doesn't make me less of a Christian. I imagine the kind of misery and tortuous logic you guys rope yourselves into by lending false religious interpretations to everything. My advice, go and discover God. don't judge pple by your own personal decision... I listen to Muslim program very well and I know a lot about the religion.... ileya meat is a sacrifice.... but if u eat it's not a sin for u...and if others don't eat it...it's never a sin for them....but mind u,if u. really know what u believe u won't bother to eat it not because it's a sin but cos of controversy.... At least what u eat does not last more than a day...#just my opinion # |

On a serious note, it is not a must to marry, why cant these single ladies try to be successful and Live a beautiful life? Our society is to be blame too.
