Can I travel directly to Edinburg Scotland or still go through England airport due to immigration issues? Since your student visa is for the United Kingdom, it covers England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, so once you enter the UK, you are free to travel anywhere within these countries.

However, when entering the UK for the very first time on a student visa, immigration rules and Border officials at your first entry point may check your visa, CAS, and study documents

Just completed my UNIVERSITY OF SUNDERLAND CAS SHIELD Questions and uploaded all documents including finicial statment today 29th july. Please how long does it take to get my CAS Letter for september intake? Please i need ideas from any prospective sunderland student that has gotten theirs.

It could take up to a month to receive your CAS, as the process usually get stuck at 61%.
I recommend finding someone to start following up after a week to help speed things up.

Be cautious when choosing University of Sunderland.
Many applicants have reported delays in receiving their CAS letters, even after more than a month of initiating the process despite repeated calls and emails, there's often no response. Their university representatives hardly respond to calls and email.
Don't be swayed by the low deposit and tuition fees; they are also rigid with payment plans.

Northumbria might be a better option.
As for Ulster (QA campuses), the fees are low, and the value of the certificate is questioned. You’d likely have a better academic experience if you attend the main campus in Northern Ireland

Only professionals in subjects listed on the UK shortage occupation list ; Modern Foreign Languages (French, Spanish, Mandarin), Physics, and Mathematics have better prospects of securing a sponsorship visa.
If your background is in Business Education, Computer Education, or Biology Education, even with QTS, it may be difficult to obtain visa sponsorship.
Furthermore, subjects on the PGCE shortage list are eligible for up to £25,000 in bursary scholarships under the UK’s Train to Teach program

Good evening everyone. Please, I'm about to make deposit for Wolverhampton University for September intake but someone told me I'll have to add bank statement to request for CAS. CAS deadline is August 4 and I can't meet up with 28 days of the requirement as they delayed interview outcome for us.

I would like to ask, should I proceed to making deposit payment and email the school for deferral to January 2026?

Or will the school refuse to make a refund if I don't meet up with CAS deadline/requirements?

You need to check if the course is available for January 2026 before you make the deposit.
Alternatively, send an email to ask if they can do CAS-In-Waiting and state when your bank statement will mature.

If you're tech-inclined, consider the University of Hertfordshire.
Their 2-year MRes in Digital Management or Artificial Intelligence for Business costs £23,000 and allows dependants. I recommend it not only because it allows you to travel with family but also because it's just 35–40 minutes from London and have a flexible payment plan.
Impressively, they received over 400 applications within 72 hours of opening the two courses.

Pre-registration Nursing is competitive, but it's definitely achievable. Which university did you apply to? Some universities require IELTS, 300 hours of work experience, and an interview, while others have less stringent entry requirements.

If you're looking at a London university, I will recommend St Mary's University at Twickenham.

Tuition is about 16k with 3k automatic discount.
They've got good accreditations and affiliations with the likes of Chelsea FC, Fulham and top companies in London for industry experience.

If the university is responsible for you not receiving your CAS, such as delays in uploading required documents or not meeting the deadline or visa refusal, you'll be eligible for a refund. However, if you submit a fraudulent bank statement and it’s discovered, the university may flag your application and either deny a refund or only issue a partial one.

This is why I always advise people to carefully read their offer letters and student contracts. Make sure you understand all the details before paying any deposit

Hello, the discount range from 4000- 6000 pounds but their tuition is expensive.
