Vehicle shipment was delayed for good 3 months (I went through HELL with shipping company in Baltimore MD –Guys avoid Guardship America located in MD). Finally arrived Lagos last week - still available for serious buyers

adexfem - I have been monitoring your responses to nairaland members’ questions on this forum. Let me tell you - your business will grow if you continue your pattern (i.e. honest and straight forward answers).

A lot of us especially Nigerians based abroad have been swindled countless time by local clearing agents not delivering as agreed. As you grow concentrate more on building and keeping a good reputation and you will be amazed what will come out of it.

youngmill - thank for your advise, the lekki Phase 2 land is a government scheme land program and the orginal onwner cannot come up with the money - so he is willing to transfer all the paper work to my name (off cause my attorney is involved) for 7.5m . I guess it a good deal then.
ajileko - about the developement fee, i was told i will pay the fee directly to Lagos state government. Can any body explain the meaning of that fee. Thanks guys .

thirdeye - we need guys like you in this forum, all your answers are very educative. Update about the lekki phase 2 land , i was told after paying the 7.5m naira there is going to be another fee "Development fee" before i can start my project. Please my brother in a lay man's term what is the meaning of Development fee. thanks

Thanks ricki - for now I only want to restrict my investment on the Island due to the high ROI (Return on Investment). The rental income is very high on the island, back to my main question - is 7.5m naira a reasonable price for a plot of land in Lekki Phase 2. Guys I beg I need your imputs - I work very hard for my money. Thanks

so you are saying your charge for 40ft container with two cars (2007 Toyota Camry and a used mini van) is 1.5m . The shipping company here in Maryland have an agent in Lagos that clears cars/containers for their custmers.

I need your help - I am Yankee base and in the process of venturing into Naija real estate market. I recently got a quote for a plot (960 sqm) of Land in Lekki Phase 2 for 7.5 M Naira. Is this price reasonable for that area, I have heard a lot of stories of non naija base being reaped off by family members supervising their real estate projects? I am just trying to minimize my risk. Thanks a lot GURUS

adexfem - Per your response to questions, it seems you really know your stuff. Here is my storey - My 2007 Toyota Camry was shipped (from Maryland USA) via a shared 40ft container. The other vehicle is a minivan (don't know the year-but it’s a used car). Any way the shipping company consignee in Lagos wants me to pay 680k Naira as part of my charge of clearing the 40ft container. How much will you charge to clear the whole container?
