Pls experienced parents in the house especially Mums, my baby is 9 months old. We just introduced him to cereals but the trouble is he refuses to eat it. We have tried Pap, that one is even worse.
I have to pin his hands and legs, while the Mum tries to force his mouth open just to get a spoonful into his mouth, that is if she can get past the teeth that he won't open. And after all these, he will not swallow, he will just spit everything out and we are back to square one. And the way he cries.........damn
We tried closing his nostrils and mouth to force him to swallow, hmmm, I will never try it again. Continuing only on breast milk is no longer an option cos it doesn't fill him anymore. Pls suggestions

Father Soja-Anyembugu, announced this to newsmen on Saturday during the marriage matrimony of 83 couples in commemoration of his 10th priestly anniversary in St Patrick Catholic Church, Akwanga, Akwanga Local Government Area of the state.

According to him, the step will also enable those who did not marry in the church to receive the sacrament of holy matrimony and to get their marriage blessed.

“I have decided to celebrate my 10th priestly anniversary to sponsored mass wedding for people who indicated their interest to have their marriage blessed in the church. "As at Feb. 3, I have sponsored 53 couples in St Sylvester Catholic Church, New Nyanya.

“Today, I have sponsored 83 couples making a total of 136 couples to enable them get the sacrament of holy matrimony as well as to give them a sense of belonging,” he said.

The priest called on the couples to continue to be patient, tolerate one another for them to have a peaceful home, adding that marriage is all about endurance and patience. "The importance of church marriage cannot be over-emphasised as it will promote peace among the couples and also enable them to get more blessings and God’s favour.”

Soja-Anyembugu, called on the couples and other Nigerians to live exemplary lives by inculcating moral values in their children and for the overall development of the country.

He also advised Christians and other Nigerians against engaging in unruly behaviours and other sharp practices, so that they can inherit the kingdom of heaven. The cleric called on the members of the church and Nigerians to be law abiding and respect constituted authorities and engage in activities that would promote peace and unity of the country.

Earlier, Prof. Cletus Tanimu Gotan, the Vicar General, Jos Archdiocese, who is also the guest preacher at the occasion called on the couples to live peacefully with each other in order to inherit the kingdom of God. He quoted many verses in the bible that preached love, affection, calling on the couples and Nigerians to show love and live in unity with one another in the interest of development.

News Agency of Nigeria reports that the wedding ceremony was attended by many well wishers including the Nasarawa State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Mary Enwongulu, politicians, priests, traditional and religion leaders among others.

Governor Abdulaziz Yari has alleged that his administration gave security agencies 24-hour head-start to alert them on the impending invasion of communities in Zamfara by bandits that resulted in the death of 39 persons in Zurmi local government area of the state on Wednesday night.

Speaking Friday evening when he led five Northern Governors on a sympathy visit to the palace of the Emir of Zurmi, Yari said security agencies in the area have failed to tackle the problem of cross-border banditry and terrorism bedevilling communities in the area.

“Whatever humanly possible that needed to be done, we as a government have done to mitigate this disaster. But it does appear that security agencies are failing in their responsibilities.
“I feel let down facing the people of this state whenever I remember the promise I made to them that when they elect President Muhammadu Buhari into power, these killings will end. But unfortunately, things are now getting worse.



“As such, I urge you security agencies to up the ante so as not to lose this war. If you let us take issues on our hands, anarchy will reign which is not what we hope us.

“On this particular incidence, we had intelligence reports 24 hours before it happened that the bandits were grouping and ready to attack. I alerted the security agencies but unfortunately they sent inadequate personnel to confront these people from where they came from,” he said.

In his remarks, the Emir of Zurmi, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, said echoed what Yari said, adding that if not for the bravery of vigilante groups who confronted the bandits, the casualty figures would have been higher.

Giving insight into what really happened, the Emir alleged that 600 bandits made attempt to invade Zurmi but were repelled by vigilantes.
“They came on 200 motorcycles with three persons on each bike. Each of them was well-armed. We stationed 500 vigilante members who stood their ground and gallantly fought the bandits. Unfortunately, these same bandits turned their anger on travellers and other villagers on their way here, that was why we had 39 people killed.



“Thes terrorists are known to us. Their major hide-out is in a village called Kagara, very close to Bafarawa in Sokoto State, and a few kilometres from Shinkafi in Zamfara State. But despite several appeals to security agencies to storm the area, our appeals have failed.

“I need to state here that majority of weapons used by bad people in this country are brought in from this area. I had reason to personally inform Zamfara State Director of SSS sometimes back of a large cache of weapons being brought into the country but no concrete action was taken until the containers were moved away.

“I am happy that other Northern Governors are here because we believe the solution to this problem lies in cooperation among all of you.
“I don’t need to repeat here that we need a full battalion of soldiers here and in areas surrounding Maru, Maradun, Shinkafi and Zurmi LGAs,” the visibly angry Emir said.
He added that the people have been pushed to the limit and a negative reaction from them will have a devastating consequence on the continued peaceful coexistence of all communities in the area.

In his remarks, Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno appealed to the people not to lose patience. He sympathized with the victims and prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal rest.

In addition to Shettima and Yari, other Governors on the entourage were Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi and Umar Tanko Al-Makura of Nassarawa States.,

The problem is not my fiancee but her mom. The woman is very nice and welcoming but lately, she did something that I am not comfortable with. Last week she sent me a text asking for financial assistance. That her daughter (my fiancee) is yet to pay her house rent at school and that my fiancee younger brother is yet to pay his registration fee. And so she had asked me to loan her some amount before the end of the month when she will remit it. That she considered me a son and that's why she confided in me. Governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha has called on the general public to stop associating Fulanis with Killer Herdsmen.

Okorocha on Sunday said that it would be wrong for anyone to link the Fulanis to the killings by herdsmen in the country.  PoliticsNGR gathered that he defended the Fulanis while addressing members of the Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim led by its supreme head, Solomon Alao, during a courtesy visit to the government house, Owerri.

Speaking on whether the Imo State Government has created a cattle colony, proposed by the Federal Government, Okorocha, said there was a cattle market in the state and not a cattle colony, stating that the state government encouraged indigenes to go into cattle business because it was lucrative and that government would continue to support them with provision of ranches.

The governor also said it was absolutely wrong to link the Fulanis with the killer-herdsmen, pointing out that the herdsmen who kill should be treated as criminals, and should not be used to stigmatize the Fulanis, whose men and women had largely contributed to nation-building.

“The fact remains that no one in this country has the right to take another person’s life in whatever disguise. For herdsmen to kill anybody is not right and that must be condemned,” he said.

So, how do Nigeria states measure up on their debt profiles and ability to service it? We took a look at the debt and dept-per-capita of Nigeria states.

Lagos leads the pack with more than 1.44trillion naira in debt. Kaduna, Edo, Cross River & Enugu make up the top 5.

Looking at the debt-per-head (per capita) figures, each Lagosian owes an average of N25,288. Meanwhile, Edo comes second with each citizen owing N18,538. Cross-River comes third with each citizen of the state owing an average of N15,995. (See the chart below for the full list)

It is important to note that, while a state like Lagos may lead the league tables for indebtedness but then, the state equally has the most capacity to pay back/service it. States like Taraba, Borno, Yobe might have the least debt stock, but then, these are states that have the hold the least promises as financial entities. In other words, they have the least capacity and opportunity to borrow money.

THE Concerned Indigenes of Kaduna Central Senatorial District, has said it has started making the process of recalling Senator Shehu Sani representing Kaduna Central senatorial district for working against President Muhammad Buhari and the senatorial district.


Speaking the newsmen in Kaduna on Monday, the leader of the group, Aliyu Saidu contended that the senator had not only betrayed his constituents but had declared war on them.

‘We the people of Kaduna Central unanimously support President Buhari in his effort to fix the economy and rid Nigeria of corruption and insecurity.

‘We send Senator Shehu Sani to the Senate to work towards the success of Buhari government and not work in the direction of it.

However, he said to the disdain of the group the Senator’s political behaviour and performance so far were a direct contrast to the yearnings and aspirations of the people of the district.

‘So far, he has nothing to show for except social media posts insulting the president and cheering his enemies. By his actions, the senator has caused more damage to the president and our great party as well as his actions have harmed our collective interest as a senatorial district.

‘it is regrettable that the party has failed to call Senator Shehu Sani to order for his open belligerence against the government and our party.

‘No individual no matter how highly positioned is above the party. We the people of Kaduna Central cannot afford to wait till 2019. We are ready to correct this anomaly through recall.

‘We hereby inform the world that we shall be exercising our available constitutional options by initiating a recall process against senator Shehu Sani. The Federal High Court sitting in Wawa Cantonment, Kainji, Niger State, on Monday sentenced 35-year-old Haruna Yahaya for terrorism offences.

The convict, whose left arm and left leg are crippled, was convicted for being a member of the proscribed Boko Haram terrorist group and participating in the abduction of over 200 schoolgirls in Chibok, Borno State, in 2014.

He was said to have participated in the group’s attacks in Chibok, Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State and Gabsuri town in the Damboa Local Government of the state.

Yahaya had on Monday pleaded guilty to the two counts preferred against him by the Federal Government but pleaded for mercy, saying he was forcefully conscripted into the terrorist group.
But the judge who sat in one of the four special courts established by the Federal High Court to fast track the trial of over 1,000 suspects said the court was “not fooled” by Yahaya’s story.

The court noted the convict was “using the misfortune of his handicap to draw sympathy”.
The judge, therefore, ruled that the 15 years sentence passed on the convict who had been in detention since 2015 would commence counting from Monday.
