How else do you explain the failure of generations of Nigerian and European archaeologists to spot Sungbo’s Eredo, the ramparts of a thousand-year-old kingdom not an hour’s drive from Lagos? On 23 May 1999, the Sunday Times (UK) carried an astonishing article entitled 'Jungle reveals traces of Sheba's fabled kingdom'. Over the next few days many other papers followed suit. Even the Daily Mail one day later asked "Was the Queen of Sheba really a Black woman from Nigeria?" As the evidence emerged, however, the queen of Sheba link proved to be hype. The real Sheba was an Ethiopian queen who lived three thousand years ago. What was undeniable, however, was that the southern Nigerian rainforests had an even more amazing secret to tell. The secret was this. During the Middle Ages, Africans built by far the largest city the world had ever seen. In size, this city dwarfed Baghdad, Cairo, Cordoba and Rome. The achievement was on a scale even bigger than that of the Great Pyramid of Giza, Africa's most celebrated monument.

At one time, scholars used to divide the three thousand-year history of southern Nigeria into four great cultural periods. They used to speak of the Nok Culture, the Igbo-Ukwu Culture, the Yoruba Kingdoms and the Benin Empire. This view was boldly challenged by the findings of a team of Bournemouth University scholars led by archaeologist Dr Patrick Darling. Since 1994, the team discovered and mapped the remains of yet another Nigerian kingdom, this time covered by centuries of forest overgrowth. Barnaby Phillips of the BBC described the discoveries as possibly "Africa's largest single monument." As we shall see, this is typical British understatement.

At Eredo, in south western Nigeria, Darling's team found a huge earthen wall with moated sections. This encircled an ancient kingdom or city. From the ditch to the summit of the rampart measured a towering 70 feet. According to Mark Macaskill of the Sunday Times, the rampart was "100 mile[s]" long and formed a rough circle, enclosing "more than 400 square miles." The building was on a truly epic scale. The builders shifted 3.5 million cubic metres of earth to build just the rampart alone. According to the BBC this is, incidentally, "one million cubic metres more than the amount of rock and earth used in the Great Pyramid at Giza.[Egypt]" Therefore Eredo's construction is estimated to have "involved about one million more man-hours that were necessary to build the Great Pyramid." The ramparts may indicate the boundary of the original Ijebu kingdom that was ruled by a spiritual leader called the "Awujale". Macaskill, however, disagrees. He describes Eredo as a "city". If he is correct, this would make Eredo one of the very largest cities in all of human history. It was larger than modern London, and was definitely the largest city built in the ancient and mediaeval world.

Among the discoveries, a three-story ruin has been tentatively identified as the royal palace. It had living quarters, shrines and courtyards. It is possible that thousands of smaller buildings are still concealed by the forests. These will be mapped in time. Radiocarbon dating has so far established that the buildings and walls were more than 1,000 years old. Dates such as 800 AD have been given as a good ball-park figure.

People who live near the ruined kingdom or city today have traditions that a wealthy and childless queen, Bilikisu Sungbo, built the city. Some say that she built the city as a religious offering. It is also claimed that Sungbo's territory had a gold and ivory trade. Moreover, her royal household are said to have kept eunuchs. Portuguese documents dating back 500 years, allude to the power of an Ijebu kingdom that some scholars think is possibly this very one. Today, the ruins continue to be of great importance. There are yearly pilgrimages to Sungbo's grave.

Despite this great African achievement it is, however, disconcerting to note that racist theories are already being formulated about this kingdom. For example, Barnaby Phillips wrote that the building of Eredo was: "carried out by people who could not read or write, and with only the most basic of tools. Thousands of labourers - probably slaves - must have toiled in the thick rain forests and dark labyrinth swamps for years."

Naturally, he offers no evidence for the assertions of slavery and illiteracy. On the other hand, the evidence of iron smelting and the other highly advanced metallurgical activities for which the Nigerian civilisations were world leaders seems to disprove the notion that the builders had only basic tools at their disposal.

On a happy note, Dr Darling, the leader of the archaeological team, suggested that Eredo may well gain World Heritage Status. This will put the Eredo kingdom or city on an equal footing with other African marvels such as the Pyramids of Giza and the city of Djenné in Mali. It also places this great achievement on a footing with other great marvels from around the world such as Stonehenge.

You speak of defiling the temple of God not realising that it's in fact Jesus that defiles the temple. The only person that fits the description of the man of sin is Jesus. He has exalted himself above The Most High.

In the Old Testament, temple of God was a physical building in Jerusalem, but in the New Testament, the physical body of every child of God is the temple of God. When you surrender your life to Jesus Christ, your body becomes the temple of God, and your heart serves the throne of God.

DEFILING THE TEMPLE OF GOD
Many Christians and preachers claim that God is only interested in their hearts and nothing with their body, and so they can do anything with their bodies. Such teaching and notion is from the pit of hell, very deceptive and destructive; the same Christians ask God to heal their bodies when they are sick and also ask God to protect their bodies, so if God is not interested in their bodies, why will God heal their bodies from sickness? If they think their faith in God has nothing to do with God, why will they ask God to heal or protect the their body from attacks?

Jesus Christ died for our soul, spirit and body, to give freedom, not only for our soul but also our body. When you become a child of God, your body is no longer your body but God's temple, whatever you do with it is very important to God. Involving in any act that defiles God's temple attracts serious judgment of God. "If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are." 1 Corinthians 3:17.

ACTS OF DEFILING GOD'S TEMPLE
Here are some acts that defile God's temple, which every child of God should flee from:

(1) SMOKING: Smoking is not just a wrong against one's health, but also it is a sin of defiling God's temple after salvation. After you are genuinely saved, going back to smoke is destructive to your spirit, soul and body, it defiles God's temple - your body, and it attracts God's judgment.

(2) DRINKING ALCOHOL: Drinking alcohol was not allowed in the temple of God in the Old Testament, “Do not drink wine or intoxicating drink, you, nor your sons with you, when you go into the tabernacle of meeting, lest you die." Leviticus 10:9; and how much more do you expect with the temple redeemed by the Blood of Jesus? The reason why drinking alcohol is a forbidden thing to a genuine child of God is because his body is the temple of God, and alcohol is not allowed in the temple of God.

(3) TATTOO: Painting tattoo to the body is only meant for the gentiles, the unbelievers who owe their own bodies for their destruction, but when your body becomes the temple of God, redeemed by the precious Blood of Jesus, it becomes sinful and evil to paint tattoo on your body. "You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord." Leviticus 19:28 "I AM THE LORD OF YOUR BODY AFTER YOU SURRENDER YOUR LIFE TO ME, NOT YOUR OWN ANYMORE" - JESUS CHRIST.

(4) BLEACHING: Toning and bleaching skin is an act of defiling the temple of God. When you become a child of God through repentance, your body belongs to Jesus, and you dare not do anything to your body that will not glorify God. Bleaching and toning skin is evil and destructive.

(5) MASTURBATION: Masturbation is an act of manipulating one's body for sexual pleasure, it is forbidden by every genuine child of God, because our body is the temple of God and we cannot manipulate it. Masturbation actually mean having sex with demon; since it is for sexual pleasure and it usually involves two people; in masturbation, the other person is invisible and that is demon. When you surrender your life to Jesus completely, you must resist and reject the demon of masturbation when he comes back to play with you.

(6) MouthAction: Either in marriage or outside marriage, MouthAction is an immoral act of working against the normal cause of nature, it is turning the cause of nature upside down by using what is meant for oral for sex and what is meant for sex for oral; but since your body is the temple of God, you will not want to turn the temple of God upside down, you know God will not take that for granted?

(7) FORNICATION & ADULTERY: These are the worst of all sins, because sexual immorality is the only sin that cuts across spirit, soul and body at the same time. it's a serious sin that poisons the whole system. Sexual immorality is a sacrifice that empowers the kingdom of darkness, what it means is that whenever sexual immorality is being committed, demons are readily present to empower themselves. Bodies or places where sexual immorality is being committed are filled with demons. Since your body becomes the temple of God, it is a must to keep yourself and flee from every form of sexual immorality. If you have involved in such before, you repent, ask Jesus to cleanse you and do not go back into it.

DESTRUCTION FOR DEFILING GOD'S TEMPLE
"If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are." 1 Corinthians 3:17.

There is grave judgment of God for anyone who defiles temple of God by any act. If you have been involving in any of these acts, you have to repent and ask God to forgive you and turn to Him in a new life completely.

Romans 12:1-2, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

A cursed man cannot remove the curse on another man . He is not in the position since he is cursed as well , but a blessed man can remove the curse and will still remain a blessed man.

The rich ruleth over the poor, and the BORROWER is SERVANT to the lender.

If a rich man pays the debt owed by Mr A , does that make the Rich man a servant to the lender ? No.

The death of Jesus Christ on the cross is to cancel the curse of death God placed on Abraham which every human being inherited. That curse was "thou shall die " . Jesus Christ died and paid for that death with his precious blood that we might live.
This is the first death , death of the flesh.

The second death is the death of the spirit . Since Jesus was able to rise from the dead on the 3rd day , everyone who believes him and lives a holy life will not die the second death.
Then , man shall be restored to the original plan of God for Adam and everyone to live and not die.

Jesus is a deception. Tell me who taught you and your ancestors christianity? The ans is oyinbo brought the bible to Nigeria. Slaves were not allowed to read or write..only allowed to read the bible. I agree largely with you but the bible is both Literal and spiritual..it is a history, astrological, universal..great book sadly just filled with lies. So for example “Egypt” means both a physical place and also means “bondage”. It is a history book because it narrated the lives of the people living during the “age of the Hebrews”. The bible is 90% about the black races including the chosen race - the Hebrews. But yes it also includes spirituality. Adam and Eve is a story about the soul and spirit in man. In the beginning Man was made whole. The spirit (Adam) is that still quiet inner voice.,the soul or eve was created to allow man to have choice I.e. the free spirit. Our thoughts (soul) control our actions (body). The challenge is to have control of the thoughts so we can conquer the flesh/body. This is called death to self. The Most High dwells in the temple of man (body) but can only be accessed when the mind is still I.e. we quiet the mind to here HIM. Mind over matter! The battle has always been for our souls.

The promised Messiah was prophesied to come towards the end of the time of the gentiles which is now. So Jesus claimimg to have come already is contrary to prohesy.
The tribulation has almost ended and Chritians still havent been raptured!

Before The Most High left earth, he promised that in the future (our times) a son would be born, a Messiah, a Christ, the “Son of Man” who would be “annoited” and given dominion to usher in the Kingdom of The Most High. This man will be a suffering servant until he is annoited Prince of Peace as the most High is the King of Peace. Jesus could not have been Christ because it is only at the end of this current age aka the times of the gentiles that that prophesy can be fulfilled. Ive read some of your posts, this son of man appeared on the eve of passover 2017 which happened to be the same day as ‘Palm Sunday 2017. That is when The Most High revealed to him who he was..the suffering servant. All that remains is for the annoiting. The Kingdom of the Most High is at hand indeed!
