In this study, I will be explaining Mathew 24:1-36. This is unlike anything you have ever heard or read before, this is the proper breakdown, you only need to have an open mind to understand it.

Mathew 24 opens with the disciples of Jesus commenting on the beauty of Jerusalem, the temple of God, and Jesus telling them that Jerusalem will be completely destroyed.

The disciples also asked him about the timing of his return and the end of the world. Jesus gave a very comprehensive answer, and the purpose of this thread is to breakdown Jesus’ response because this is the basis of our watch for his return as Christians.

If we do not understand the signs, how can we know that the is nigh? except to continue to parrot the worn out cliché ‘’Jesus is coming soon’’ and making yourselves the butt of sarcastic jokes from the people of the world.

Mathew14:4-7
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Yes, we have and continue to see many of them

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. Wars and rumours of war.

We need to realise that these are the characteristics of the tribulation. A tribulation is a time of sorrow and pain, for the Israel of God it was going to be a time of danger and pain. A world at peace with God will not experience wars and rumours of war, there will be no famine, there will be no earthquakes, there will be no rising of kingdoms against another, because the peace of God which His presence brings will cover everywhere.

Mathew 24:8-13
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

The tribulations continue. The wars and rumours of war, are the beginning of sorrow. Imagine, for example, that you are born and brought up in America, used to having all the good things of life, and then suddenly things changed; you who are protected and used to enjoying all the good things of life suddenly lose all this cover of protection, and you begin to experience suffering and all kinds of sorrows, this is your tribulation.

Mathew 24:14
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

This verse is a marker to show the end of the tribulation and the coming of Christ.

The gospel has already been preached to all the nations and peoples of the world.

Mathew 24:15-22

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand: )
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

These verses are actually the beginning of the tribulation. The tribulation is to begin with the abomination of desolation being seen in the Holy place.

The holy city of Jerusalem is the holy place being referred here, and the abomination of desolation is the Roman forces that invaded the city. Jesus warned his disciples that when they saw the Roman force in Jerusalem, they should immediately flee from Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah.

He warned his disciples to make haste as soon as they saw this sign. He bemoaned the women who would be breastfeeding and suckling at that period. He also prayed that their flight would be in summer and not in winter, and not on the Sabbath day too, because they would not be able to flee on a Sabbath due to the law, they would have perished like sitting ducks.

THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF THE TRIBULATION, AND ALL THESE OCCURRED CIRCA 70AD. Roman forces marched against Jerusalem and Judah, but had to pull back for a short while. This pulling back enabled the disciples of Jesus to flee Jerusalem and Judah, when the place was eventually sacked by the Romans in 70AD.

Mathew 24:23-26
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
25 Behold, I have told you before.
26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

Because there was going to be high hopes for the return of Jesus during the tribulations, many false Christs would appear and show great signs and wonders, that if it were possible, they would deceive the very elect of God.

Mathew 24:27-28
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

Everyone will see the coming of Jesus, his coming will be as the rising of the sun from the east and its travel and setting in the west. So do not allow anyone to deceive you with any signs and wonders; when he comes, you will not miss his appearance.

Mathew 24:29-30
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

This is the end of the tribulation; and the end of the tribulation is marked by a darkening of the sun, the moon refusing to give her light, the falling of the stars from heaven, and the shaking of the power of the heavens. The first two signs are physical signs while the latter two signs are spiritual signs as the consequence of the physical signs.

The Eclipse of 21st August 2017 preceded the declaration of the end of the tribulations. I already explained how the fall of great empires are usually heralded by eclipses. I also already explained the fall of the stars from heaven and the shaking of the heavens.

Mathew 24:31
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The trumpet of God will be blown; this is earth-wide thunderous sound that will be heard by everyone (2 Samuel 22:14)

Mathew 24:33-36
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Starting from verse 29, Jesus begins to give the imminent signs of his return.

Jesus is the SUN of God, he is also the SON of God. Jesus is the Sun, and Christ is the Son.

In verse 29, the eclipse is the beginning of a new era for watching for the return of Christ; all the signs that will be seen after the eclipse are described as the time of Spring, a time when the fig tree and other trees bud and bring forth new leaves. Summer comes after spring. The eclipse of the sun of August 21 2017 occurred in summer.

The story of the Bible is all about the sun; the generations of the sun are divided into Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring; and then another generation begins.

This generation shall not pass, which generation? The generation of the sun that heralded the eclipse of August 21, 2017. This generation will not pass till all these things be fulfilled.

One generation of the sun is made up of Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring.

The end of tribulation and the eclipse occurred in Summer 2017

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled

And am currently eating comfortable at my house at the end of tribulation.

Every day we pass through tribulations and persecution.

But

He said Great Tribulation. You won't be operating the internet freely during the great tribulation. It's a time of great distress. The only people that will be having fun during that time are people who have "the mark" which will enable them to buy and sell.

Before the lion of Judah returns for the millennium reign, the antichrist should be here in flesh ruling over the world as god during the great tribulation and persecution. And then he puts an end to the antichrist reign. (just like how the book of revelation explains).

Two major characters in this end times. The false prophet and the antichrist. The false prophet is already here. A Jesuit. The antichrist will appear to make peace when there is war and distress in this world. We have not seen any world war 3 yet.
