Anyway, long story short, another dealer offered me the 2013 Acura MDX for 12.5 million. I didn't have that cash at the time and couldn't return to Lagos until November. My uncles encouraged me to make part payment on it instead of just going home like that. I was hesitant due to fear of being played but I eventually agreed. I deposited 10 million on the SUV, leaving a balance of 2 million which I promised to bring on the first week of November. This is a photo of the one I paid for. My uncle took the picture with his yeye phone. I didn't even know when he took it.

Anyway, I had no choice but to try and buy a car because it's not good to go back to my base empty handed. Chai. My wife would be so disappointed ☹️. She was really looking forward to this. 🙂 They offered me other cars and even a 2008 model of the same MDX but my heart was set on the one I came for. By the way, even the 2008 was more than 9 million naira. Go figure.

I was so disappointed because I came with a budget of 9 million naira as advertised. I traveled far to come to Lagos. I suffered to withdraw money from banks that day. Now, this people are telling me online price is different from real price. They say it as if that's normal. I was so hurt I gave that guy who made the Jiji ad a piece of my mind.

Remember I said the advertisement offered the 2013 Acura MDX for 9.3 million (negotiable). It turned out the guy is not the dealer. The real dealer said the car is 15 million. After much negotiations, he settled for 13 million naira las las. Nothing else will drop from the amount. Omo, I can't even begin to tell you how disappointed I was.

We then called the guy who placed the ad on Jiji. We met him in Berger and he took us to the car. Everything looked as advertised, but there was one little problem 😕. Actually, it's a big problem 😞. The actual price is significantly higher than he advertised online.

As for the trip itself, It went smoothly. Besides the brief wait somewhere along Benin express way as there was information men of the underworld were operating ahead. We took off after the wait and arrived Lagos promptly and without incidences.

OP: The photos accompanying this post (the ash MDX) is the one I saw advertised on Jiji for 9.3 million naira. The ad also said the price is negotiable, so I figured they'll probably be willing to knock off the 300k and sell it for 9 million.

In any case, I got money together (which wasn't easy because I had dollars and banks weren't willing to let me withdraw such bulk at a time) and left for Lagos with my uncle. At least, my uncle got to enjoy an all-expense paid trip. 😁

There's little israel can do when it comes to Iran without USA, israel has US fighter jets like the f-16, f-15 and f-35 but they won't do much without the US Long range bombers.

It's only the US air force that operates the strategic bombers capable of striking deep inside Iran, the question now is, will US support such operation which will ignite a wider war in the region

I estimated the clearing for each vehicle at around 2 million naira. I then added the vehicle's price and shipping cost.

I didn't reject it. I haven't even seen foreign used models of the '14 CR-V. Only Nigerian used. I've also seen a 2010 Venza foreign used, but the dealer is not replying my messages on time.

Kidnappers and armed robbers are already smart enough to use other people's cars for operations. They'll just start using other people's properties more frequently.

If you are far away, there is not hard in putting in a security guard to look after your uncompleted and unoccupied structures and report any suspicious movement around the structure to security agents

This is draconian and should not be allowed to stand otherwise many innocent property owners will suffer. Which one is "armed robbery" "killing" etc? That Venza is a prime example of the disproportionate pricing I talked about. I don't see the justification for their 15-20 million naira price point for used models.

As per reliability, sophistication, luxury feel and comfort, the MDX stays ahead of the Crosstour. But considering the uncertainties surrounding the cost and availability of our PMS, and of course your blossoming family, I would recommend a 2010 - 2012 4cyl Venza.

Currently chatting with a US dealer on this one: 2011 ML 350. Total cost including shipping is $4,695, which is less than 8 million naira. The problem now is clearing as I have no clue and the clearing agent is not forthcoming with that information. I've already decided on the MDX or the Crosstour anyway.

Except for the ford focus, I believe the rest on the list of interest all carries 3.5 lt v6 engine.
If you want easy to maintain car, I will suggest the Ford followed by crosstour then mdx. Parts are easily available. Mdx gives more luxury and comfy drive than others and it's awd.
If gas price wouldn't be a problem for you, then I recommend the mdx for that comfy, classy and affordable midsize suv experience.
